Nice video! You are really good at explaining complex knowledge to non-computer background people, and really know what regular people are concerned about.
Great video, "Ask your computer Guy" redirected, so glad he did. Q) I have been using IOLO "System Mechanic Ultimate" as an end of day cleaner, BUT, recent changes to their payment policy (insisting one uses PayPal, Amazon or Credit Card, means that when the licence expires (soon) I need to find an alternative, is Tron suitable for this as an end of day protocol. Also System Mechanic would run a "Net Booster" to clean and optimise my internet connection. So, I am seeking a one stop alternative that will Clean junk, optimise, Network, Defrag, recover lost memory, antivirus, and Malware killer, what do you suggest? does such an integrated solution exist?
Haha. About 75% of my boxes and servers are on BSD or Linux so I'm with you. I don't choose one or the other. I must have all for their strengths weaknesses.
Ok, great video and I can only imagine what you have to hear from "Gen Zero IQ" commenters. I have an observation, and a question : - Linux, or Apple OS, aren't any more secure than Windows, on the contrary. Linux just doesn't have as much threats because hackers can't be bothered with a system which is still niche, and many times is constantly being interchanged (various distros) by the people who use it. Adding to that, it is more widely used in "virtual spaces" or, as is my case with Tales, on a pen drive without persistence (I do use one with persistence). Hacking takes a lot of time, Linux, for various reasons, isn't worth most hackers time (unless you are a "legitimate" hacker working for the organization being attacking, in order to find and fix vulnerabilities). - As for the question, in the good old days of pirating Windows, especially XP SP2, the main hack was "camouflaging" the BIOS (or was it already UEFI?) as being a "Dell System", "HP system", and so on, machine. This way the "pirated" version of Windows (I mainly used XPSP2 Black Edition, which came with a "Swiss Knife of the best tools of the trade) could be updated by fooling MS into thinking it was on an approved system that had to be maintained "UpToDate". Would you consider these hacks as persistent virus, considering they would "mutate" with every Windows update? Now, the worst virus I ever had on any computer was Norton. It was painful to get rid of. The only "virus software" I would even consider using would be Kaspersky. Most commercial anti virus software are the worst virus anyone can introduce into their system. They start out with the "Free Trial Version", voluntary, or hidden in some other app (the way I got Norton in my System), this "Free Trial" will find hundreds of threats in any system, and when you try to erase them: "You must upgrade to the Pro Version", curiously enough, always on some huge sale for the next 48 hours. That is the worst practice of social engineering know to man, and yeah, in my book, that's an hack or, at the very least, malicious intent. So yeah, these companies are using the main tool "hackers" use, social engineering. As for the myth of "torrents", those sites do not tolerate any sort of virus (there will be some commercial malware, for those who don't know which download link to press on). These sites make their money from people visiting them on a regular basis, and from add revenue. The last think they want is to infect anyone and lose their users. The one I most frequently use only uses "verified files" which are "bombarded" by at least two different virus programs and two malware detection programs before being allowed access. Now the main issue is that people are stupid. There will be a clearly visible window with the links very clear, "torrent link" and, some times, right beside it, one saying "magnet link", with the name of the file in the same space , clearly visible, and separated inside a clear distinct window from the rest of the page... Then, there will be two or three huge "Download" banners on the same page, those are not the file download links, those are "spyware"/"malware" links made by one of the sponsors of the site (mostly harmless, but sometimes annoying). I have owned PCs since the very first one, in all that time I have only seen four or six "Zero Day" attacks, another myth, and all of those by Government Agencies. So no, there are not armies of hackers out to get you, unless you are Microsoft, Tesla, Dell, IBM, Amazon, and so on. Hacking takes a lot of time, resources, and footwork (90%+ of hacks are social engineering, big balls, and some good acting). Now, ransomware, people using your computer for mining, governments and institutions using your computer for research (yeah, that's a thing), that's a whole different story. The first, can be easily resolve if the first rules of computing/storage/backups are being followed (always have a backup of your data, in a different place, obviously, always have a backup in a system which has no access to any sort of network, and has no Wi-Fi). This, obviously, only for files that are important to you... The main anti virus anyone should use is their brain, just don't be stupid. And yes, a lot of organizations are going to attempt to use your hardware for themselves, but governments and research centres have been doing that for ages, as have all your browsers (especially Google). Use Brave, use Tor, use DuckDuckGo by downloading the Google app, otherwise it is useless. Cheers.
Regarding your question: in the old days you are referring to, it was actually a little more simple but just as sneaky. Our hard drive format was MBR instead of GPT which allowed malware to hide in the master boot record. We call these "droppers" and they would persist and drop in on a new installation. If the user or tech didn't know how to either wipe or repair the MBR then it would often persist. Bios and early UEFI didn't have secure boot so it was really easy to pull this off. Most persistent threats today are more sophisticated and rely on lateral reinfection. Using a hacked/cracked OS is extremely dangerous. The threat can be written into the OS and therefore cannot be removed.
@@NicoKnowsTech Thanks for the clarification. I remember using the "debloated" Windows XP SP2 "Dell BIOS MOD", and being able to upgrade it from MS to SP3 (best Windows ever, IMO). Never had an issue or any "harmful" critters (every system always has some unwanted "parasites", as long as they are not harmful, or use too many resources...). Then again, back then we had a tight-knit community of hackers/mods (I personally know the guys/galls responsible for the Black Edition), today it has become all a bit more dangerous, with Government and Big corporations, not to mention miners, "clowns" setting all kinds of dangerous "creatures" into the wild, Cheers.

Hello Nico. I just had a quick question about Tronscript. As a game dev who occasionally is adventurous and downloads plugins, modding tools, etc. from sources that probably aren’t considered official sites, I am hoping to have a good tool to keep my PC safe and performant. I’ve been using Norton, Norton Power Eraser, and Hitman Pro for awhile now, with none of the 3 reporting anything suspicious. I just wanted to ask if these 3 are good enough or if Tron makes a big enough difference in detection and removal to consider upgrading to. Thank you for the help.
Hey, thanks for this! You reminded me of another problem I am having, and no matter what I try (from research) I cannot fix it. On my Windows 10 machine, recently I ran Tron and about the same time, MS Excel began telling me that I cannot use hyperlinks to external websites because of my "organization" - just like you show at 5:18. Maybe Tron did this, maybe not, but what can I do even if it's not Tron?
so i got a simple virus on my computer when i tried to install forge which is a Minecraft modding software add because i thought that the ad was the download link yep that happen
On an early step in stage 0, it says if the rkill job takes more than 20 mins, kill solitaire.exe with task manager, my process did take longer and so I did, but should I have waited longer just in case or does that make any difference at all?
There's something in my hp laptop that keeps happening even when I do a full wipe and reinstall windows It forces uppercase when it's in lowercase and lowercase when it's in uppercase. It forces Num Lock and flight mode and opens everything I click on in another window instead of a tab. It also selects many items even tho I clic on only one. I have run tron script as you showed and even verified with autoruns Is says I'm safe but it's still happening The most impressive thing is I used Windows 7 8 and 10 and I had the same problem in all of em My pc is hounted
I have run the tron script and after I deleted all the folders that downloaded onto my pc after downloading tron from Reddit but every time I delete them, after a while a random file keeps appearing on my desktop called tron. And it keeps coming back even after deleting it. Why is this?
Does tronscript also make Google Chrome browser say controlled by organization? Or is that another bug? Because I have both windows and Chrome now saying that. I also still have the far right column in auto runs saying error on most for some reason if you have a fix for that.
I have questions 1. I have downloaded tron and scan several times in my computer. But hacker seem like control my computer easily and modified the tron string in my computer. So how to do? 2. Hacker downloaded antivirus software in my computer and show audio.txt in file. I try to delete this file, but it can't delete So, what should I do?
While running it, I got right past the McAfee Stinger scan, and I got a popup that said that I had an incompatable driver. Please help, is this malware?!
Unfortunately the Tron Script killed my HP Pavilion laptop. I did everything exactly as instructed and once it completed....the computer is no longer usable. It runs ultra slow now and the simple task of opening a web page can take over 10 minutes. I'm now in the process of trying to do a full factory restore on it without any luck on the first attempt.
One thing that happened with me when running tron stage 3 (I think that was the stage it was the anti-virus) was that those "Could not open" messages kept coming up and it said to ignore those but there was uncountable amounts of those messages. Was this normal?
@@NicoKnowsTech hi niko thanks for the response. One thing I still didn't know if it was normal was that during that stage 3 in the cmds it never really got past sophos. Hi I have a problem with my laptop. When I open chrome it will by close itself after like 5 seconds and then reopen automatically, what is that? There is also another thing sometimes a chrome cmd exe command or something shows up then closes. I tried your tron script and they still show up.
Hii nico knows tech, I’ve run tronscript few weeks ago and I found trojan malware , my antivirus blocked it but the start up thing after that was completely disappeared. Can you explain it to me why!?
I got a ❓ so idk if this is a problem but on my computer I think it is because everyone once in a while the cmd command prompt pops up for like half a second and disappears. after that happens, like a minute or two later my windows that I have open in the side just randomly closing and that's basically all that happens. I feel like someone hacked into my PC. Will tron be able to do something about this cause I haven't used this yet.
Open Resource Monitor and look for the Tron script that corresponds to the stage its in. I thought defraggler was frozen afyer being stuck for half a day at 27 percent, but in RM I could see defrag was readingband a bunch of system services were writing, including the Master Boot Record file which took forever to process (win 10 with HDD). Good thing I didnt pull the plug in middle of the MBR defrag & consolidate.

Hey Nico I did Tron a week ago and on process explorer now there is a process caller memory compression but when I look up the info in the process there is barely no info and it's not in the system. So I disable the MMA agent on the power shell and the process it's still there compressing. Is that normal?.
Totally normal. Memory compression is an advanced function that runs automatically in Windows 10 and 11. It allows for better usage of memory/ram within Windows. You might recall how Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 would quickly run out of memory and then become so slow that they were hardly usable. A common issue was to have too many background tasks that would overwhelm windows. Modern versions of Windows are much more efficient with memory.
Nico can you help i stuck with Tron on this step Sophos Virus removal Tool over 4 hours download, checking and instaling updates and nothing happens, ty!
Hey after I used tronscript 2, files appeared on my computer and the reason I figured out that there was 2 files, was because of Malwarebytes so should I be concerned
Hi, Nico. Is it normal if the process stuck for hours at "Dumping Metro app list to "C:\logs\tron aw_logs"". What I mean by stuck is : 1. The little rectangle beneath the phrase are not blinking as it was before. 2. The cursor (no light-blue loading symbol) are not responding to any movement of the mouse. 3. Same thing happen to keyboard typing. It literally freezing. I have tried force reboot once even though it stuck. But when i run (as administrator of course), same issue happen. Hope you can response to this, Nico. Thank you so much.
Hi, Nico. I have a follow-up question. Tron wiped-out my Skype. A re-install of Skype will be no big deal. However, the wipe also took my list of contacts. This is very bad. Any ideas? Thanks!
Used newest version of Tron script seems worked for a day maybe then pc went slow again , ofcourse checked aurorun and the other page not show any danger stuff going on but pc still slow disc 100% so doqnload malwarebytes to run full scan in 30 hr 5 detections and still runing...left over night to scan ,in the morning 10h 34 mins of scan still running still same 5 detections cant even check what was the detections as seems pc crahshes on scan...what do i do? Run tron again or just reset pc from factory recovery option? Something os not 🤨😕 right....
Theoretically yes, but not the way a virus infects an operating system. You can scan with ESET. Links are in description. Apart from that, if you think you have a firmware infection, first assertain whether or not a nation state hack team wants to spy on you. If the answer is no, then I would say you do not have a firmware infection and should not Google what is possible and rather narrow your search to symptoms you can clearly see without much digging.

Check my video on ESET. Its on the channel.
Is Defraggler going to recognize that I have an SSD Drive and not perform the defrag?
Is tron normally a 7 hour download, or do I have slow internet and/or bloatware?
Hey, thanks for this! You reminded me of another problem I am having, and no matter what I try (from research) I cannot fix it. On my Windows 10 machine, recently I ran Tron and about the same time, MS Excel began telling me that I cannot use hyperlinks to external websites because of my "organization" - just like you show at 5:18. Maybe Tron did this, maybe not, but what can I do even if it's not Tron?
It is tron, search how to delete shutup10, which tron uses, it is a very useful tool, check what it does then delete it if u want
what about if you need to run TronScript Safe again
How do you remove a startup folder called htspl and inside of it is Htspl.exe is it Ransomware cause it always logs out all of my google accounts
so i got a simple virus on my computer when i tried to install forge which is a Minecraft modding software add because i thought that the ad was the download link yep that happen
I ran this and really saw no big issues but malware bytes stuck around but I still got rid of it
Had re install my virus scanner one I pay for it’s good one total av
I ran Tron and it helped my laptop a lot. But when I went to play a game my fps dropped by over half. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
It removed the vital driver which Arron consider a bloatware.
Don’t remove the false bloatwares, reinstall them
I just want to disable telemetry.
O&OShutUp10 will do that
On an early step in stage 0, it says if the rkill job takes more than 20 mins, kill solitaire.exe with task manager, my process did take longer and so I did, but should I have waited longer just in case or does that make any difference at all?
Didn’t work on my PC window 10 64bit (Tron) right click administrator nothing happens ? Any suggestions please 🙏
Thanks
Buy new computer.
Yeah, I tell people the same thing when they need to change their oil. Buy a new car.
@@NicoKnowsTech ☺ I just can't help myself when I read stupid questions like this.
There's something in my hp laptop that keeps happening even when I do a full wipe and reinstall windows
It forces uppercase when it's in lowercase and lowercase when it's in uppercase. It forces Num Lock and flight mode and opens everything I click on in another window instead of a tab.
It also selects many items even tho I clic on only one.
I have run tron script as you showed and even verified with autoruns
Is says I'm safe but it's still happening
The most impressive thing is I used Windows 7 8 and 10 and I had the same problem in all of em
My pc is hounted
Or... Your keyboard is dirty
I have run the tron script and after I deleted all the folders that downloaded onto my pc after downloading tron from Reddit but every time I delete them, after a while a random file keeps appearing on my desktop called tron. And it keeps coming back even after deleting it. Why is this?
why did my windows boot manager turned black backgroun? it was previously blue BG
Mine changes regularly. I tend to blame Windows Update.
Is tron safe to use if you have a SSD and 1 hard drive??
How long is the junkware removal phase 3 supposed to take? It has been on this stage now for 2hours. Is that still normal or unusually long?
It can take a while, but click inside the console window and hit space bar. It may be paused.
How do I untistall the tron software? It’s not working well on my pc
I have rarely run scripts my entire life. And I've been using Linux since the 90s.
It's open source. You could theoretically run each command manually from the command prompt if you wished... But it would take a while.
Does tronscript also make Google Chrome browser say controlled by organization? Or is that another bug? Because I have both windows and Chrome now saying that.
I also still have the far right column in auto runs saying error on most for some reason if you have a fix for that.
Yes.
I have questions
1. I have downloaded tron and scan several times in my computer. But hacker seem like control my computer easily and modified the tron string in my computer. So how to do?
2. Hacker downloaded antivirus software in my computer and show audio.txt in file. I try to delete this file, but it can't delete
So, what should I do?
Do we have similar script for Mac or it is only Windows
guys, i have a new copy of windows so my pc is 100% clean. is it worth to use the tron script just for debloating my system and cleaning it up ?
Use my debloat video.
While running it, I got right past the McAfee Stinger scan, and I got a popup that said that I had an incompatable driver. Please help, is this malware?!
Why not just disable the MCT service and call it a day?
Well said
Unfortunately the Tron Script killed my HP Pavilion laptop. I did everything exactly as instructed and once it completed....the computer is no longer usable. It runs ultra slow now and the simple task of opening a web page can take over 10 minutes. I'm now in the process of trying to do a full factory restore on it without any luck on the first attempt.
How old is the laptop?
@@NicoKnowsTech it's a 2 year old HP Pavilion 15-cs0073cl
One thing that happened with me when running tron stage 3 (I think that was the stage it was the anti-virus) was that those "Could not open" messages kept coming up and it said to ignore those but there was uncountable amounts of those messages. Was this normal?
Totally normal.
@@NicoKnowsTech hi niko thanks for the response. One thing I still didn't know if it was normal was that during that stage 3 in the cmds it never really got past sophos. I did the malwarebytes scan then did sophos after that the cmds closed automatically I didn't know if the whole virus scan completed it took about 30 minutes
@@dannyan1444 Es normal que Tron no abra algunos archivos. Todo esta bien
I’m running step 3 rn is it supposed to last very long?
It can. Depends on your system. What's the status?
Well my system is your average office desktop so yeah and It said sophos antivirus is running and there’s this spinning slash symbol that I can see rn
When i opened my “removed programs txt” file from logs it mentioned that it deleted a multitude of games and after effects stuff for me? But I can still use every file that “tron removed”
I'm Windows 7 . . how often should I run Tron to clean up ?
Check my channel. I have videos specifically for debloat and tune ups.
@@NicoKnowsTech thanks so much Nico ! 🙂
Hey nico do you know any scripts or programs that can remove ssoi virus? I ran tronscript and it removed bunch of trojans but ssoi still stayed
hey nico i was looking through my programs recently and i have seen a Win32/office core and when i search up what it is it says that it’s a trojan how can i remove it?
Nico i have a problem. My pc keeps doing this thing where it doesn't let me see my taskbar, and sometimes i need to restart my pc and click the taskbar for it to work.
It would mean the world to me if you could help me
Hi I have a problem with my laptop. When I open chrome it will by close itself after like 5 seconds and then reopen automatically, what is that? There is also another thing sometimes a chrome cmd exe command or something shows up then closes. I tried your tron script and they still show up.
Sounds like a trojan.
what do you do about a trojan?@@NicoKnowsTech
Hii nico knows tech, I’ve run tronscript few weeks ago and I found trojan malware , my antivirus blocked it but the start up thing after that was completely disappeared. Can you explain it to me why!?
I got a ❓ so idk if this is a problem but on my computer I think it is because everyone once in a while the cmd command prompt pops up for like half a second and disappears. after that happens, like a minute or two later my windows that I have open in the side just randomly closing and that's basically all that happens. I feel like someone hacked into my PC. Will tron be able to do something about this cause I haven't used this yet.
Hi! Tronscript is now running for about 10 hours, currently at phase3. It didn't show a new line for quite some Time How do I know that it isnt stuck?
Open Resource Monitor and look for the Tron script that corresponds to the stage its in.
I thought defraggler was frozen afyer being stuck for half a day at 27 percent, but in RM I could see defrag was readingband a bunch of system services were writing, including the Master Boot Record file which took forever to process (win 10 with HDD). Good thing I didnt pull the plug in middle of the MBR defrag & consolidate.
@@LeverPhile i Really appreciate the help, but this was one year ago. I managed to Run it, but I already own a completely new Computer, without ans issues. 😂 Thanks anywas, bud👍
if i close tron during run will it corrupt my pc
thank you for your effort. I have a problem with the boot menu. When booting, the BIOS in the device does not show that it has been deleted, or is there any command for me to restore the original BOISS of my device with cmd commands
hello friend I need your advice I just bought a computer and I have had some problems like the antivirus is disabled or files are deleted, and the truth is that some time ago trying to fix with programs that promise to clean your computer ended up ruining the pc and now I'm scared.
Is there tron for Android phones?
Sorry bro
I got an issue with internet connection it says that the firewall or security might be blocking my internet connection
I tried tron also to reset hosts beside reseting the firewall and defender setting
I don't know what to do I wold be so thankful to have your help
What made windows 7 a "different platform" from XP?
I had good luck with tron. It took twenty hours, but it is worth it 😊
Your way of explaining things is very nice.
Nico I had this virus that keeps. Showing win64 expiro I used tron and fellowed you instructions but is still showing what should I do
Hey Nico I did Tron a week ago and on process explorer now there is a process caller memory compression but when I look up the info in the process there is barely no info and it's not in the system.
How to safely delete tron script after running it in my pc?
Nico can you help i stuck with Tron on this step Sophos Virus removal Tool over 4 hours download, checking and instaling updates and nothing happens, ty!
does this work for windows 11?
Hey after I used tronscript 2, files appeared on my computer and the reason I figured out that there was 2 files, was because of Malwarebytes so should I be concerned
Hi, Nico. Is it normal if the process stuck for hours at "Dumping Metro app list to "C:\logs\tron
aw_logs"". What I mean by stuck is :
Check the health of your hard drive. Check my channel for videos on it.

man i need your help, in my windows 7 the tron bat dont execute
Hi, Nico. I have a follow-up question. Tron wiped-out my Skype. A re-install of Skype will be no big deal. However, the wipe also took my list of contacts. This is very bad. Any ideas? Thanks!
I would restore your PC with restore point, back it up then run Tron again.
Will I need to run tronscript again if I update windows? Like, will the tracking stuff that windows puts on by default come back if I update?
Not unless you get infected again. I have other videos on just debloating windows.
Nico please answer a virus can infect my videocard , ( vram or bios or anything on videocard ) how i can check ??????
Theoretically yes, but not the way a virus infects an operating system. You can scan with ESET. Links are in description. Apart from that, if you think you have a firmware infection, first assertain whether or not a nation state hack team wants to spy on you. If the answer is no, then I would say you do not have a firmware infection and should not Google what is possible and rather narrow your search to symptoms you can clearly see without much digging.
Need ur help ! after running tron I lost the dts headphone X: app which came with the PC , is there any way to get it back. it is not on Microsoft store .
