This is the reason why I always loved and respected stop motion animation over any other forms. The amount of detail and dedication is amazing. The first Wallace and Gromit film took him six years to complete 29 minutes and he managed to scale it down to 14 months for a film that was almost quadruple the length.
@Salmonella Poisoning It actually took 15 months, and from what I've heard that was because of the amount of demands they got from DreamWorks, with each meeting so many changes were demanded to make it "More American" and such, Aardman said going back to work for the BBC with A Matter Of Loaf and Death was like a dream because in all of the production time, the BBC only requested 1 minor change
@Salmonella Poisoning What was said before was more or less correct. It took 14 months to finish, which is quite fast because they had a bigger production team to work with. The very first film A Grand Day Out took 6 years to complete because it was mostly just Nick Park doing all the work. I have the deepest respect for his dedication and creativity.
Sawyer . Speedqb It was like that for me before. But one day I became friends with a British guy. And now we are best friends. We do have a lot In common.
Grandma bought “Grand Day Out” for our daughters. The whole family fell in love with Wallace and Gromit. We still have everything they and their crew did and still watch them even though I’m now 57 and mom is 51. My wife has a “Shawn” (the sheep) on her dashboard which does inspire conversations in parking lots. Please never stop. Your passion is appreciated, cheers!
I'm from Brazil, and even here this amazing movie was on TV. This cartoon/movie was part of my childhood, thank all of you guys for the good memories, I was so happy watching this. Thanks a lot.
That’s why I miss how a lot of animation shows and older shows were made it adds a bit of realism to it I wish we could go back in time to have more of this around today
My daddy bought the cd of this for me and remember that I’ve played its episodes thousands of times. Thank you for this amazing animation that is part of my childhood memories.
Love Wallace and Gromit.. And as a member and supporter of the National Trust.. Its fabulous that Nick Park has put this Great British Institute into his animations..Thank you for sharing. Appreciation and gratitude 😁🤗x
I Love Wallace and gromit, My mom used to play the vhs for me and my brother when we were home from school or on a rainy day. My favorite was the moon landing and the one with the sheep sheering.
Damien Le Maistre I honestly think Wallace should stick with lady Tottington. Though I don't think there was any confirmation about them being a couple. 🤷🏻♀️
My son loves it,i love it too...thanks for bringing this. Will show him this as he is still thinking that cheese comes from the moon... Trust me I tried to explain to him :) Thanks

this video was uploaded in 2015, so I check out the website and see there is nothing there. So I search on the national trust website. Everything was from 2013, and even then I think it was supposed to be from 2012 because they were talking about the diamond jubilee. WHAT IS HAPPENNINGGGG
The way to discover the secret behind the scenes of a Wallace and gromit story movie world. Tottington hall was only the size of an adult human being and Wallace alone was only the size of a hand. Making an animated movie can take as long as a construction/ refurbishment project.
When I saw the curse of the were rabbit maybe Wallace Shawn could fill in for Peter and give the original character of that movie the hair he had during gromits first birthday
I’d recommend showing it to them. They may think it’s silly but if you explain to them what went on into making these films I’m sure they would respect and appreciate it a bit more.
What happened to the train from the original walls and grommet series? The penguin episode? Whatever happened to that train? Did you sell it or is it doing someone's collection? Who knows but I want to know

it's a little scary to think how long it must take for a short movie and how painfully patient you have to be
@Salmonella Poisoning It actually took 15 months, and from what I've heard that was because of the amount of demands they got from DreamWorks, with each meeting so many changes were demanded to make it "More American" and such, Aardman said going back to work for the BBC with A Matter Of Loaf and Death was like a dream because in all of the production time, the BBC only requested 1 minor change
Tell me about it. Animating is my hobby. When I am animating, and a figure falls over, IT'S THE WORST

SigmaTauri2 you are an awesome Grandparent. He will cherish those videos for a lifetime. I’m sure you are a fan of Wallace and Gromit yourself.
@Stop Motion Clone ikr! Have I misread this?!
@Stop Motion Clone maybe he means the mom of the daughters aka his wife?
@Stop Motion Clone yeah it'd make sense since he said hes 57 and she is 51
Your 6 years older than your mother

佐藤謙二郎 Hasn’t Japan made an anime in stop motion form?
Steve Yorkman i dont think so
Steve Yorkman but that would be cool
@@semelatifofalism5833 I bet it'll look real good if they did. Japanese animators are really patient and skilled.

Stop motion is a hard way to make a movie
The lego movie took 3 years to finish
@@art3mispants792 The lego movie is actually made with cgi, but yeah, it's basically stop motion inside a computer, it's still hard af
I moved to Bristol 4 years ago seeing Gromit everywhere. Good to see the behind the scene and learn more about this iconic Bristolian film
