My mother just sent me the link. She grew up in Nördlingen after WWII after being expelled from her home region. I myself have fond memories of this medieval jewel. Thanks for retrieving this old movie portrait!
Thanks very much for watching and for sharing your comments. Indeed, Nördlingen remains a jewel today with its circular town wall completely intact, surrounding the same buildings seen in the film. The daily life there and in the village of Holheim, though, has changed. Through the film we can see how it was.
Dear Robert Kleinberg! I could not explain how greatful I am about Your uploading the film in RUclips!!! It's not a matter of course to see Your hometown/homevillage in colour in "acient" times (I was born in 1977). Especially for me as an actor. Best dramatic Greetings Alexander Weiß aka LEUKOS from Nördlingen-Holheim, Germany
Planning a trip to Germany soon. I'm looking for relatives and wanting to walk on Kleinberg Mt. At 54, I should be doing this trip sooner than later. 23 and me isn't helping much. Thanks for the videos Mr. Kleinberg.
Thank you for the comment. Although no longer the "farm town" it was when this film was made, Nördlingen is a wonderful place to visit, which has had a colorful history. One can walk the entire circular city wall which is perfectly intact. Within it, all the houses and buildings, hundreds of years old, are beautifully maintained. The friendly city tourist office can help with detailed information and walking tours. Have a good trip.
Thank you for sharing these films, they are a jewel of history.
Thank you very much for watching, and for these words.

It’s a shame these beautiful, unique cultures are dissolving today.
Thank you for watching, and for your comment.
germany is dissolved
Nördkingen ist still very much the same even today (with modernizations, of course. ^^) It still is a sleeping beauty.
