Drilled carbon steerer tube plus headset spacers as long as the headtube and a short compression plug are a recipe for disaster. Hope the rider have a life insurance.
I am kind of confused, if you have made your metal expander wide enough to fit housings and running them via the steer tube, why do you need to use these headset with holes instead of normal rounded headset/headset spacers? Please advise. Thanks.
Not really, only if damage is directly resulted from steer tube. No modification was done on frame so warranty still valid. Specialized has to prove any faulty is direct/indirect result from hole in steer tube.
I think making these alterations is not a good idea. If you don’t like to see the cables get a different bike . Or find a way that does not compromise the integrity of the bike in terms of safety .
1kg extra of stack there
5x 10mm spacer, and extra stack from the stem, visual horror

That headset looks like dumps.
In shop DiY steerer tube drilling makes me nervous!! Load up on your liability insurance.....Good luck! Pjw
Ignore the haters. Well done hiding the cables and making this video.
I plan on doing something similar in the future.
Can I have the model name of the vision handlebar?
I can’t figure out why the cables don’t just run up the inside of the steerer?
Damn nice build! I wish I had a SRAM Red budget!
Theres a video on GCN with a guy who did this with a D shaped steerer. Better design
link?

You're voiding the warranty. you can't just drill a hole in the steerer tube.

Its Dubai. They'll just buy another bike let alone fork.
And another face from crashing 😂
El tubo de la dirección se cortó y ha tenido me meter añadido en los espaciadores..... 😮
It's not your bike.

Jeez, glad I don't go to this guy!
Nobody will be going to him soon if he keeps breathing that carbon fibre dust 😬
Hell nah
I don't know but the stack looks awful, better leave the cables out
Not very good idea in my opinion and does not look any good.
