This episode was hilarious! I thought Peter was going to cry when he saw that T-Bone steak. You would think he had died and arrived at the Pearly Gates to get his reward!! Loved it! Congrats on the 300K subs! FYI, I'm the official president of the "Kitra Is Cool Fan Club!" And yes, I just made that up!😁
Congrats on 300K subs. The muffled sounds of Kitra screaming joy while snorkeling made my day. They say don't feed or touch the fish but what if a fish touches me.
The morning we left Aulani, I just sat out on the balcony for an extra long time savoring my coffee, feeling profoundly sad…but grateful too, that we got to spend such a nice week in such a lovely place…You guys were lucky you still had a full “Part 2” to your adventures!😅
What a wonderful video! Makes me miss my visit there. I’m so happy you got to see Ornate Butterflyfish (19:35), they’re one of my favorite species! They are obligate corallivores, meaning they only feed on coral polyps. They’re often seen in mated pairs, and these pairs will hold a small patch of reef as their territory! If you’re confident swimmers, and if you visit again when the water is calm, I HIGHLY recommend going a little bit beyond the channel markers. Even staying within 40ft of them, the species diversity and abundance of fish dramatically increases, as well as the coral cover. That’s where I got my first Teardrop, Lined, and Multiband Butterflyfish as well as my first Achilles Tang (my absolute favorite of the genus Acanthurus, their colors are insane!), Black Durgon, Lei Triggerfish, and Peacock Grouper! I also saw two Scrawled and one Barred Filefish! It was all so beautiful! Interesting tidbit about the fish at 16:21. That would be Lutjanus fulvus, Blacktail Snapper. Like Bluestriped Snapper and Peacock Grouper, Blacktail Snapper are not native to the Hawaiian Islands. They we’re introduced from the Indo-pacific to the Hawaiian Islands in the late 50’s. If you’re looking for good Caribbean/South Atlantic fishes, I definitely recommend hitting up the Florida Keys! Third largest barrier reef in the entire world, the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary is one of the crown jewels of wild America. I studied marine ecology there for a month and got my cert dives there, and I was blown away by the diversity at sites I dived at! Definitely comparable to outer reef systems in Hawaii, with a ton of more soft corals! Many of the reefs in the Caribbean are in poor shape due to historical disease outbreaks and bleaching events, and previous pollution issues haven’t helped either. Some sites I’d recommend visiting in the Florida Keys are John Pennekamp, Looe Key, Alligator Reef, Molasses Reef, and the Dry Tortugas National Park!
"I'm kookoo for cocoa puffs!" I love all the excitement while snorkling. I can imagine how much more vivid and colorful it is in person. I'm so glad you both had a great time! Thank you!
THANK YOU for this video! My daughter and I are on our first trip to Aulunai and Oahu! This is where we will go for her 28th BDAY dinner! I absolutely love you guys!!!
So much fun guys! Glad you got to try Coco Puffs, the Chantilly on top is famous! Also, we had our wedding at the chapel at Haiku Gardens/Haleiwa Joe's. Some funny pronounciations, but no worries, and fun to see all the sights! :D
YES! Had a rough week- - a tropical Ordinary Adventure is just what I need to end the work week. 🌺 Also you guys' reactions to every fish you saw is exactly how my husband & I reacted when snorkeling in Jamaica- so much giddiness and squealing at what we saw ! 😆You just can't capture how awesome it is too see so much colorful sea life up close. 🐟🐠 CONGRATS ON 300K! 🎉
I love it you guys!!! I remember snorkeling everyday, you almost pull over to every beach and see amazing fish, the fins for sure make so much difference xxo
So good! Congrats on 300K 🎉 Your posts are theeeee best! Smart, funny, clear info, & great experiences. Much deserved success. Hope to catch you both in the parks to personally thank you. Such great work.
Really nice video. Great info and lots of fun. Your hotel is really nice, good location. Also I just want to say Gizmos little cameo in the video, he is so friggin cute lol. Thanks and take care.
I was there as a little girl in the 70’s and my father took me out past the reef (he was a diver)...never saw such wonders! (Eels too!) Still remember to this day, especially the desperate crawl back over the reef. So glad you were dazzled as well. 🙏☮️
I loved this video because it was so reminiscent of our wedding day last year. Halepuna had top-tier hospitality. They helped me put on my wedding dress in a separate room! Oahu is very magical ✨️ happy you two went there !
Congrats on 300k subscribers!!! I think anyone who has visited Hanauma Bay would agree, the moment you see that first overlook of the bay (either in person or on a screen), you get the feels. That restaurant is magnificent.
Love watching these on a very hot day for some reason. Makes me feel like I am in Hawaii. Still barely paying for my annual Orlando trip in September 😂.
Your underwater vid and commentary were so fun! Loved your genuine reactions to the fish! BTW, the water gets cloudier as the day goes on. It's most clear earlier in the day! Aloha!
Congrats on 301K subs and a 🍥🍡 Very Happy Birthday, Peter! 🍰🍭 Thanks for sharing your amazing adventure with us all. The snorkeling looked like it was a blast and that meal? Holy tamoley, that prime rib was O-O It looked like it might have been pastry cream inside those treats in the AM.
Omg you guys must have got to Aulani right after we left. Would have been so excited to see you guys! We did so many things that you recommended including the Jurassic tour at Kualoa ranch. Kitra when you sing little songs it makes me so happy lol I do the same thing!! Haleiwa Joes was definitely on our list but we didn’t get to go however we did get to see Jason Momoa at Duke‘s on Waikiki!! We just got home a few weeks ago and we already wanna go back but reliving it through your videos is awesome❤️ Congrats on the 300 thousand subscribers..I actually gasped when you did when you refreshed it! Well deserved ❤️
Congratulations 🎉on the new milestone! OMG! I can’t believe you were staying at Halepuna. I work at Halekulani and I had no idea you guys were there! I hope you enjoyed your stay and please come back anytime to visit. I would love to serve you guys some desserts!! Mahalo a hui ho!
That underwater commentary was hilarious!!!! Congratulations on your subscribers!!! What a location to find out. The cat there looked like my middle cat, Max!
We went to Hawaii twice, 1992 & 1994, each visit was for a month, 4 islands. We did lots of excursions and tours. We snorkeled at Hanauma Bay it was fun and was our first swim with the fishes. But when we got to the big island, the snorkeling in Kona was a much better experience the water was very clear, not milky whatsoever. We have so many wonderful memories. But development has changed the islands quite a lot. But still looks to be an awesome destination for holiday.
Fins would definitely help with the waves. I know they feel awkward at first, but they truly do help when swimming and snorkeling for an extended time. Loved the blue fish! And love your channel! ❤
I was also at Aulani and Waikiki! Was there Tue. Dec. 6th and 7th. Then went back to Maui. As I’m writing this, I got off the plane from Maui and saw your video as soon as I got on an Uber. Was at the Sheraton that was blocking your view of Diamondhead. Thanks for mentioning that restaurant. I’m gonna need to try that in March. -The Disneyland Neighbor
TFW I see you two so excited about seeing the blue parrot fish and feel slightly awkward because I often see parrot fish but on my dinner table. The bigger island you saw is named Rabbit Island because it looks like a sleeping bunny with their ears flat against their head.
Congrats!!! Love your channel. No matter where you go it's always fun and new!! Loving the cats in this one....I know they are a real threat to the bird life there...but I just love cats....
That restaurant location was absolutely amazing! I'll never get to Hawaii. I have moved from So Cal to Scotland. So watching this has made me feel like I have made it to some local hot spots. ❤️
Gosh dang!!! I wish we had met you guys while we were there. Missed you guys by a day as we did the opposite what you two did. Waikiki first, then Aulani. Making us cry!!

Wow, this part of the trip actually looks better than the Disney part. Watching you too, you're so cute together. My kids tell me my restaurant-fo is very good. I was so happy to her you sing ramdom songs about the moment. I do this all the time and my son gets so mad. I think it is fun. 🤣
