I absolutely adore this fragrance.. warm vanilla, floral and amber is what I get from it.. I’m not getting the coconut.. it lasts all day and so many compliments! The only complaint I have is the price.. I highly suggest to try it
I got zero coconut from this. I got the beachy scent of bergamot, grounded by jasmine and vanilla. As it wore on, I got a hint of amber, but only a hint. I like this one very much.
I'm getting a 10ml in the mail tomorrow, along with Alien and Aura. I've heard nothing but bad things about Goddess but I like to judge for myself since fragrance is subjective.
Yeah, L'Oreal has that reputation. I recall being devestated when Thierry left and they sold out. Mugler went from being my favourite fragrance designer to not even cracking my top 10. Such a shame, but business is business. Good news for compulsive bottle collectors I suppose, not so great for fragrance enthusiasts.
Thierry Mugler Fragrances was bought out by Clarins Group in 1997, after they had already provided Mr. Mugler with the channesl to create Angel and A*Men. There was never any "selling out" from Thierry Mugler. He stepped down in 2013, and even without his direction, the house went on to produce many well-recieved fragrances such as the Angel Croisiere editions and the Angel 2019 EDT. If you want to argue that Clarins sold out to L'Oreal, that is a different matter, but Thierry Mugler himself was only the visionnaire behind the early scents, and Clarins did the production.
I was initially disappointed, too, but now it grew on me a little. I get more whipped cream and chestnut than coconut. It's OK, but I wish the price was cheaper. Have you tried Ajmal's Sacrifice? It smells like Alien OG but slightly sweater and less indolic, and is easier to wear imo. It dries down similar to Essence Absolue. And, it's a cheapie, too.
I got the travel size blind today and I like it. Its very light though. No coconut for me but I get a bit of honey. It doesn't smell like Alien anything. However, I also got the original Billie Eilish perfume and LOVE it!!
I blind bought this and I do like the scent, however I expected more from an alien flanker! The biggest issue for me is the longevity!! The other Aliens blow this one away from a performance perspective! 🤦
i don't get much of a wow factor from it, but it does work pretty well as an everyday pick for mellow not too hot summer days. it's a very subtle smell of sun kissed skin to me
This is cute and extremely basic. I returned it immediately. I really wish they'd have been more creative with this. This should cost $50 then it would be acceptable to purchase in my opinion. Cute but costs too much.

Lancomes La Nuit Tresor and A La Folie are amazing and lasts so long with great projection. Lancome is one of my favorite fragrance houses, but I do agree that they definitely did not care about the Alien line at all when they decided to start making the flankers. I don't understand it. I'm glad I have a summer scent but they should have released this as a new fragrance and not slapped in in an alien bottle and called it a flanker. I don't know how long lasting this actually is for me yet because I'm waiting on mine to come in, but the sample did last a few hours. But the thing is I got it in a variety sample box from Dillard's. In the box was also CH Good Girl. I sprayed the sample and instantly bought a bottle of it. Then within 10 minutes of spraying it wasn't even a skin scent. I then sprayed 10 sprays of the sample and same thing.. didn't last but 10 minutes. I let the full size sit unopened a few days because I was just going to return it. Ended up with a case of the sads so I decided to open it and only sprayed 4 sprays. Had to change my shirt because it was so overwhelming I was feeling nauseous and getting a migrane. Came back a few hours later and still going strong on the shirt, which wasn't the case for the sample at all. Came back a few hours later to smell the sample on my shirt and it was completely undetectable. I have high hopes this perfume will be a little stronger and longer lasting than the sample I got based off my experience with CH Good Girl sample vs. actual bottle. Til, don't trust samples in the cheap plastic bottles for judgment on projection and lasting power.

I was so excited about the new Alien flanker but when I ordered the travel spray my heart sunk. It’s not unique and nothing of Alien. It shouldn’t even be called Alien Goddess. Should be called “Meh” You would think Goddess would be something even better than the original. I was so disappointed in this I had to leave a review on the website lol

No musk at all on my skin ! The opining was so fresh ,watery and sweet coconut. The dry down was soo woody with some sweet vanilla . I love how the opining is kinda remind me trésor nude / LVEB soleil / kayali vanilla coco … but I hate the dry down . I do like it ssooo much actually.

I will sample it at some point, but if it's disappointing not even those other positives can make it a purchase for me.
Marie Salamagne, the perfumer, confirmed that she worked with coconut water when creating Goddess. I believe the official samples also list coconut water as a note.
Everyone is talking about a coconut and/or monoi smell and neither of those notes is listed, which makes me think that the complete scent note pyramid has not been officially released for some reason. I was excited to try this because the original Alien is way too much jasmine for my taste (but the only Mugler I can even remotely tolerate) but I have to give it a pass since I don't care for coconut that much anymore and definitely can't stand monoi.
I agree it’s got that sweet screechy ‘designer’ musk in it which I never smelled in the past from Mugler. I can detect it in Angel Iced Star too, but not in Angel Nova.
I got tropical gum for some reason. I don’t hate it either and it’s an okay summer scent, but it isn’t unique and bare no similarity to the original alien.
I was so looking forward to it but it’s so thin the coconut and I was expecting an opulent intoxicating scent i think I will just stick to angel and alien from now on. X x x x

Darn. My Sephora didn't have so I ordered a travel spray as I really wanted to smell it. Too bad, reading the notes, I thought it would be great. ;(
Muglers need time to open up and usually improve after opening and using the bottle. I will be trying this for sure.
I was disappointed, so have put my bottle in a time capsule, buried it, and am waiting for next year to dig up gold!
