It’s nonsense, no meaning - these ‘words’ were written by Hanni from Loituma band when they released their version. But Loituma version includes the original lyrics, which is a story told by a young man who dances polka dance with a young woman called Ieva (Eva in English) , and the story includes wild dance, sex, a quarreling mother of the girl, some threatening from the young man to beat the old lady if she doesn’t shut up, and the young man bragging in the end that he let’s go again, I don’t mind to have wild polka dance/ sex with women.

Lol 😂 Me singing this a week after finding it back in high school. Also the dance. I had little to no other distractions other than an abusive parental figure, suicidal thoughts and a little brother to protect. Anime and music 🎶 helped me so much. I fully invested myself in it and didn’t quite understand why my closest friend was surprised that I memorized the dance and at least what we knew of the lyrics, back then… so fast. It is a well beloved song indeed. No matter how long it may take, we all get to enjoy it 😉 🌱 ✨

I feel dissapointed in myself, i can only sing the beginning parts of the french anthem up to abreau ve nos sillons,and i havent memorise the german anthem yet. While yall sitting here singing this absolute nonsense that is so complicated
