Hypertherm Powermax 65/85 RS485 Serial Card 228539 Kit Field Install

How to install the 228539 RS485 Serial card Field kit in a Hypertherm Powermax 65 or 85 (mine is 65) Plasma Cutter. Mine was installed to use the HyT CandCNC kit to control the plama machine's amperage setting and air pressure setting via my controller.

I'm on the proses to get a 85 and i don't now if is extra o is part o the standard ??

Ashley Elizabeth Buono . depends on what plasma pkg you order but yes it is typically an add on extra purchase. Like my 65, I would buy the 85 with the hand and machine torch and cpc port as a pkg and then add on the rs485 port if needed. Check out Hypertherm's site as they have the model numbers of the packages and whats included in them.

I bought the HT PM 65 without the RS485 but with the machine torch only and the CPC port. It cost me apprx. $200.00 to add this field kit RS485 upgrade.

in my work we have a powermax 85 and the problem is that it indicates an error 0-99
