You’ve created a beautiful collection. I love the colors and textures. The jumpsuit looks so comfortable. You’ve got me wanting to make something out of velour.
Sarah ,I love your capsule wardrobe.Everything looks so fresh and clean. Your style is similar to that of Holly Lightly and I have long admired her makes. I love your Naya top in that mesh fabric, it looks high end designer.Well done👏
Hi Sarah, what a great vlog, great capsule collection I love the jumpsuit and tops, I think the trousers may look better in a lighter fabric so they draped more ❤😊
Thank you so much, I’m so pleased to hear that, go for it!! I love to search out patterns to work with clothes I’ve seen, it’s all part of the fun for me. 🥰
Love all these creations Sarah. The Naya top looks fabulous, really effective how you took the selvedge and altered the neckline. The jumpsuit looks great, and very different with/ without the belt. ❤
The side gathered trousers are great but I think the original fabric might have had much more drape which would help them hang differently. The jumpsuit is gorgeous!
Love your Naya! I'd love a video all about the Pomona trousers that I know you love. I don't have them (yet) but I'm definitely on the verge! I'd love to hear all your thoughts on it 😍
Ah yes I love the sea change jumpsuit. I almost bought that one, but realised I already had this pattern in my stash!! Both simple but comfortable makes. Thank you! ☺️
Very nice ”recreate the look”! You’re so talented! I was thinking that you actually could use the Pomona pattern for the trousers if you decide to try making the style again. Just add a strip of fabric on the inside (or outside) of the leg and sew a seam along the middle, and voila you have the two casings. Also I would add length to that part of the pattern.
Hi thank you!!! That’s a really good idea to add a separate strip and I will definitely look at doing that if I make them again. I hadn’t thought of that thank you ☺️
Hi, I’ve just made that same jumpsuit in a ponte scuba fabric that I bought from ‘pound a meter’ fabrics for £10 for 3 meters in a Caribbean print… as it had more structure to the fabric I took out about 3 inches from the outer seam at the bottom and graduated it to the cut line at approximately mid thigh. It worked fantastically! I added a faux tie belt from the side seams (hiding a bit of a tummy pooch). It’s so comfortable, definitely secret Pjs. I’m thinking about maybe doing one in a lighter fabric with the full width bottoms. I’m pretty sure I got my pattern via a magazine a couple of years ago. Love your mini capsule wardrobe idea, it’s made me think about how I choose my next projects. I’m thinking that if I haven’t got at least 2 items in my wardrobe to go with something that I want to make, then I need to do them next and to be excited by the options that this will give me. I tend to draw a lot of inspiration from Joe Brown but I’m too short for most of their clothes, at 5ft 3 so I’m off to flick through the latest leaflet to see what they are pairing together. X
Ah fabulous! I definitely do think about what I need and what will go with what I already have before sewing as it’s frustrating to make something you can’t wear because it doesn’t go with anything else! 🤦♀️😂. It’s such a fab jumpsuit patterns isn’t it? I’ve also made it in a single viscose jersey at the full width trouser which I love. 🥰
Hi Sarah very inspirational. Lovely to see how you rise to the challenge of create the look. Just a thought on the cream trousers re drafting. The drape in the picture across the front reminds me of the effect of a cowl neck on a top so adding more fabric to the pattern rather than taking it away could make a difference , I wonder if cutting on the bias would also facilitate this look . Printing a PDF in quarter scale might be a quick way of trying this out. Might be getting carried away 😊 😂😂.
Ooh you sound like you know what you’re talking about thank you! As opposed to me who just tried to copy what I saw! 😂. Yes definitely a good call to cut it on the bias. My problem is that there’s always a new shiny pattern waiting to be made up so my plan is to wear these and see how I feel in them. I have possibly taken too much width from the leg, but they stuck out ridiculously at the bottom before I narrowed them 🫣😂😂
Ah thank you!! It’s definitely better from some angles than others 😂. It may be one of those garments which I just need to wear and get used to it I think 🥰
Love your knitted top and how you made the selvage work. Your jumpsuit looks stunning,so elegant and I love it with your top. For the trousers I think you should not have made any adjustments. The drawstring waist could then have been gathered but left flat at the front. Also, looking at the picture they should be on your waist, this would then allow the fabric to fall and not bunch at the crotch. This is just a suggestion as you know how they fell but if you take the pleats out to allow the fabric to fall rather than follow your leg shape and don't pull the ruching past the top of the leg they will fall better.I think they are gorgeous and the way you interpret patterns is so interesting.
Ooh thank you, there’s plenty of very wise and interesting advice there!! The pleats are easily taken out so I can definitely try that and also I could still replace the elastic for a drawstring at the waist. I’m going to wear them and see what I think!! Thank you so much 🥰
Hi. I love all the things you make. Have you ever made any lingerie or swim wear? I think that could make an interesting project. Keep making these great videos😘
Ah thank you so much!! The cotton mesh was from rainbow fabrics a few months ago and I’ve never seen it since unfortunately. I was at the rag market in Birmingham yesterday looking for something similar. There were a few mesh fabrics but all polyester and not as nice. I picked up a khaki one which I’ll show on a vlog, but in the meantime I’m keeping an eye out for more of the same cream mesh, sorry to not be more helpful!!! It may be worth messaging rainbow fabrics to see if they can get any more?
Everything looks nice-I think the problem with the front of the first pair of pants that bothers you is that you have too much fabric going across-wise-not up and down, I would start with folding it up at the waistline in the front, and see if that helps, if so-you can take it off there and grade back out to where to meets the side seams, if that makes sense(?) I think that would solve that. Other that that I think personally that you looked fab in everything!! :+) Great makes and ideas! You are and inspiration!
Oh thank you so much!! Yes will definitely have a look at these suggestions thank you, yes it does make sense!! To be honest I think I’m not used to the lower rise, so I think that doesn’t help, but I definitely want to make them work if I can. ☺️
Thank you!! Yes I think looking at the inspiration photo that it’s probably made from a lighter fabric. If I fancy making another pair it will definitely be something lighter. I love the cotton linen but it is quite substantial 😊
You’ve created a beautiful collection. I love the colors and textures. The jumpsuit looks so comfortable. You’ve got me wanting to make something out of velour.
Thank you! It’s definitely my new favourite jumpsuit and I may have just bought some more velour yesterday to make another one… 🫣😂

Hi Sarah, what a great vlog, great capsule collection I love the jumpsuit and tops, I think the trousers may look better in a lighter fabric so they draped more ❤😊
Ah thank you! Yes I agree about the trousers! 🥰

Thank you so much, I’m so pleased to hear that, go for it!! I love to search out patterns to work with clothes I’ve seen, it’s all part of the fun for me. 🥰
Love this!
Thank you! ☺️
Love all these creations Sarah. The Naya top looks fabulous, really effective how you took the selvedge and altered the neckline. The jumpsuit looks great, and very different with/ without the belt. ❤
Thank you!! Yes I will be making another Naya using the selvedge for the neckline I think. 🥰
The side gathered trousers are great but I think the original fabric might have had much more drape which would help them hang differently.
The jumpsuit is gorgeous!
Thank you!! I love the jumpsuit pattern. Yes I agree with you about the trousers, they’re just a bit stiff!!
Love them all Sarah the Naya looks fab with the different neck line you nailed recreating the look 🎉💕🤩
Thanks so much Heather 😄🥰
Love your Naya! I'd love a video all about the Pomona trousers that I know you love. I don't have them (yet) but I'm definitely on the verge! I'd love to hear all your thoughts on it 😍
Ah thank you!!! I am planning to go a Pomona/ Bob comparison at some point if I get chance!!! 🥰
You did a fantastic mini capsule. Looks so fresh & stylish. The jumpsuit looks awesome!!
Oh thank you for your lovely comment!! 🥰
Love your makes. Brilliant naya. Goes so well with your trousers and jumpsuit. Actually love the drawstring affect on your trousers x
Thank you! I just need to sort the poufyness out at the crotch! 😂. Love the Naya, it goes with everything!
Great vlog Sarah and I love how you translated your inspiration into a capsule wardrobe. Your Naya top in the mesh fabric is fabulous.
Thank you so much! It turned out better thank I expected!! Always love an experiment 😂🥰
Sarah I made the pattern emporium jumpsuit I want to call it sea change. Like you straight away I made two more. They are so comfy and fab
Ah yes I love the sea change jumpsuit. I almost bought that one, but realised I already had this pattern in my stash!! Both simple but comfortable makes. Thank you! ☺️
Just love absolutely everything. So styling and so inspiring ❤ thank you ☺️

Gosh amazing makes as always. Love, love that jumpsuit !! You white "crochet " top is fab, could be so versatile 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!! Yes I really love the top as you say it goes with so many outfits and is a really useful not to heavy cover up for the summer. 😊

That jumpsuit is FABULOUS on you!!!
Thank you so much!! 😊
These all look amazing! The style is so classic and the white suits you so well! Well done
Ah thank you Rachael! 🥰
I love the top. The trousers would probably work better in a more drapey fabric but they look fine.
Ah thank you!! Yes I agree re the trousers. ☺️
All super makes Sarah but the jumpsuit is fabulous and looks so good on.
Oh thank you, that is my favourite as well 🥰
Oo I've got that jumpsuit pattern looks great for a holiday make. Adding to my list of makes 😊 thanks Sarah x
Ah yes I can’t recommend it highly enough, I want to make all my jersey fabrics into that at the moment!! 🥰😂
Great makes, looking forward to seeing your Bob pants!
Ooh yes thanks I definitely need to get them printed out asap!
Great makes ..I love them all ...they look fab on you 😊
Thank you so much!! 😊

For your trousers look straight rather than down as the bunching is not as bad as you think.😘

Thank you so much! I do have a swimwear pattern, but haven’t got round to making it yet; I think I’m worried it will be baggy! 🫣😂😂
I am in awe of your makes. Love that mesh fabric, where did you get it from
Ah thank you so much!! The cotton mesh was from rainbow fabrics a few months ago and I’ve never seen it since unfortunately. @@sewsarahstyle You r welcome!! :+)
i think the beige pants are great. once you sort out the front crotch they will look very funky. would a lighter weight fabric feel less fabric heavy?
Thank you!! Yes I think looking at the inspiration photo that it’s probably made from a lighter fabric. If I fancy making another pair it will definitely be something lighter. I love the cotton linen but it is quite substantial 😊
