I needed an SDI to HDMI converter for an upcoming project.
The project involves the live projection of multiple cameras.
I have everything I need except for one more essential device.
A converter from my broadcast-quality switcher to regular HDMI.
So I got the Blackmagic Design unit from Sim Lim Square.

My answer: No. Broadcast equipment is rigid and unfriendly.

Hi ! Thanks for your channel, I learn a lot ! I just bought a Atem TV HD, got all the cameras and computer to work on the screen of the Atem, but my hdmi multiview doesn’t work properly. I can see the multiview windows, the names of the cameras... but I don’t see any image of what my cameras see. Do you know why is that ? I was thinking of the hdmi câble maybe... and if I want to use the SGI multiview output, do I need to do a special setting into the Atem or not ? I’ve tried this but nothing appears on my tv. Thanks a lot !
You may like to try setting the ATEM and all your cameras to the same resolution and frame-rate
How about the audio out quality on the micro converter?

one question : what is the difference between the SDI PGM output and the others SDI output ? it seems that when you switch between cameras, the output you chose acts like a PGM output, right ?

Until today I used a 10,000mAh power bank and it lasts more than 4 hours. I haven't tried beyond 4 hours yet.

Try using a USB-C adapter to match your type of cable. I use the USB-C to HDMI adapter to connect my HDMI cable.

Hello Mr Lee. I got Blackmagic Design and also a converter SDI-HDMI, the issue is that the audio is not working. first i thought the problem was the converter, then I conected my camera direct to it and to the computer and the audio was ok. Then when I linked it to the ATEM, I have the video but not the audio, even though I have pushed the AFV buttons . What may be wrong ??
Hello there. Im currently using 2 tv monitors, with the same setup. I saw some places, that the converters have a tendency to overheat. We currently have build 2 wooden boxes to put the screens in, where i have the converters placed underneath. We've been having some issues with the screen signal, falling out, and looks a bit glitchy, purple image, with green lines. They're on probably 10-12 hours a day. Could my problem be, that they're overheating too much, because they are on for so long? Or could it be because the signal line is too long, with no boosters?
It works fine in the beginning of the day, but throughput the day, it gets bad. Any suggestions?

have a dilemma here. Bought a brand new 2019 kenwood radio dnx996xr and want an hd camera . this one in particular Kenwood CMOS-740HD 1280x720 HD Rear Camera System. however it works only on their 2020 model? can i use this converter along with an hd tvi converter to hdmi and will work?
The converter I am testing in the video is made for TV broadcast equipment. So I don't think it is compatible with the Kenwood system.

SDI is my preferred choice. In this case, I used an ethernet cable because of the long-distance and budget.

Hello, do you know the best Power adapter (USB Micro Power) for this converter, because sometimes after 20+ minute my display for the camera flickering for 1 second and it continually until i close it ... do you have any solve for my problem?
I use the Anker 10000mAh power bank. So far so good. Very stable. When the power is used up to about one-third, I will change to another fresh fully charged power bank.

How could i connect multiple micro convert to single PC for multiple videos
The problem I have discovered with this component is that it gets very hot very fast. You probably don't want to install it into a rack case or portable box unit unless you have serious fans to keep it cool. Otherwise it will run for a few minutes, get hot, and quit working. Definitely a device to use outside of the box. I think the small size and the fact that it is contained within a metal case is what makes it so susceptible to heat.

Some camera also lag on my Blackmagic products. So it depends on the camera model. Better to research who else have used a video capture card successfully with the Sony A5100.

Without power supply adaptor meens WITHOUT.. you are using a powerbank, so its NOT without..
That's the product name. It means it doesn't come with a power supply and you have to use your own.

The team MINI has only one HDMI output. The other output is usb-c which acts like a webcam when connected to a computer.
