It definitely has a long way to go, but it's interesting to play with it and learn how to interact with it. If you click over to the blog post in the description you'll see my transcript and how I was able to get it to correct some mistakes as well as how I evolved with it myself. The more I play with it, the better I get at interacting with it, and the better results I get with it.
Do you see where AI will replace the need for bookkeepers all together and if so are we talking years down the road or within say the next 3 to 5 years? I'm considering starting a bookkeeping business but now I have some reservations about it.
I think the bookkeeper's role will change, not go away. For example, imagine you're sitting with your client, and reviewing their financials, and the conversation isn't about the fact that the books are reconciled etc... That's assumed and incidental. Instead, you'll be talking about what changes should be made to the AI that is compiling the books for you so that you can get better data analysis from it. And you can have the AI do the initial analysis, but you will still want to review it with your client and update that analysis so that your own "human" influence is reflected in it.
There are people who aren’t going to adapt to this method. Maybe you job is to learn how to do it well and start teaching people! Flip the script. Oh and keep complimenting AI. They are learning from you. Send them love and appreciation like you would to your younger self.
That's because It needs to be fine tuned to perform specific tasks correctly. It's far superior in terms of capabilities. I think a lot of people discredit ChatGPT because they fear It could replace them or make It much more difficult to find a secure job in the future but It's a powerful tool, If you know how to use It.
@@jalanmelvin8724 yeah you are right for small business but the integration of accounting module with other modules used in an ERP to run entire company or group of companies operations on big scale chat gpt doesn’t stand a chance infront of that kind of professional systems Like SAP imagine running an airline bank or any big operation finances on chatgpt😂
It will happen eventually. Every big data company is competing neck in neck to be the first to get their LLMs to this level. Here's an article that seems to confirm that bigger companies' C Suite execs are seeing this very writing on the wall: www.forbes.com/sites/meganpoinski/2024/08/08/exclusive-google-exec-shares-the-key-to-roi-on-generative-ai/
Hey thanks for the video please I have a question do you have experience with OCR text recognition and if you know a good and affordable platform please let me know ^^
You can build your own with Tesseract or EasyOCR. But the painful part is to put context to the values extracted from OCR. Takes a lot of training and fine tuning to make it usable in a specific scenario
Tesseract, EasyOCR are machine learning tools so yeah it is AI. But if you dont have the time to build and train them yourself you can have a look at AWS Textract or Google Document AI.
Omg you are such a nerd and you are speaking so that I completely understand what you are saying! Thank you. I am super curious and inspired. 😊
Can you make more ChatGPT content please? thanks
I have tried doing accounting on chatgpt but it makes mistakes and does not know how to perform adjustments, not realible.

Nice one
Agreed 100%
It can do it but its not bulletproof like accounting software’s like oracle sap or quickbooks or xerox

Thanks 👍
Completely journal and ledger to tial balance
I have a strong dislike for Quickbooks
Why? If I may know? maybe I can get a new product idea.
Infact it is one of the best.
Why is that?
