If I were to make a personal monster here's how I would go, but first some ground rules:
*first rule - it must not be some OP in simple words unkillable, to be more specific let it be unstoppable but if the right opponent or luck happens it can be stopped. It is grounded to real world science pros and cons as Goji Center said, you manipulate DNA you also take in cons.*
*second rule - Try to limit the DNA composition to 10 creatures only, + or - 1;*
1. Human - the base body of the creature is ofcourse the top species on the planet human. That means humanoid body, intelligence, function.
2. Electric Eel - to give the creature electricity. Of-course with genome modifications the creature electric abilities are enhanced.
3. Komodo Dragon - to give the creature bacteria saliva + the tongue to increase sense of taste and smell. Nothing can hide from this one. + tough strong skin.
4. Octopus - to give the creature some level of camouflage + this creature will have 4 tentacles that it can sprout from its back that are 10 ft long with pointy sharp tip for spearing.
5. Great White - to give the creature gills to breathe underwater + teeth that can quickly be replaced.
6. Spinosaurus - here we have our first prehistoric animal, with this to give my human size creature a big, tall body. No! this is not a dinosaur creature but a giant 20ft tall hulking tyrant (think of Nemesis from Resident Evil 3). Furthermore rigid and sharp claw fingers + arms being enhanced.
7. Gorilla - to further enhance strength of the body and ofcourse the arms.
8. Axolotl or either Hammerhead worm - to give my creature fast regeneration and be able to regenerate limbs even.
9. Crocodilian for whichever one has the best armor - to give my creature further enhanced armored skin.
And that's all, I finished my creature within the optimum 10 and max limit 11 creature combo. These DNA from creatures and some tweaks to make it work. Personal touches are, it will have a cybernetic chip for mind control to prevent rogue behaviour and follow commands, this creature will have hair on its head, skin color will be pale white/grey, no nose except just nostrils openings' and almost a skeleton looking face, and hair color will be pure white, and blood red eyes with slit pupils. It's name will be "Regis" latin for ruler or kingly figure.
So a 20ft tall, weight wise it will be I presume quite heavy for an enhanced humanoid with tough bones and muscle. 4x 10 ft long tentacles with stabbing capabilities, armored skin, tough teeth and be able to replace them quickly if broken off, regeneration, gills, and the last thing electricity and bacteria filled saliva so if it does get killed by some miracle bacteria will finish off the opponent.
To kill this thing you have to destroy all of it to prevent regeneration, dunk it into acid or drop a MOAB to destroy every cell.

It's definitely a cool looking hybrid for sure. Would be cool to see in a SyFy made movie or Jurassic Park cameo. Or another idea world be a spin-off tv series or movie having to deal with those people from the auction. Maybe they make a black market dino fight ring and start making dino hybrids after they get bored with the regular dinos?
I like how they also fucked up on using pistol shrimp which snap their claws shut to shoot prey instead of mantis shrimp which actually punch
they also kinda messed up with the mouth, it's so mall i barely think it can properly bite

Another animal DNA that random 2.0 could have to add onto the whip tail lizard DNA could be a starfish since starfish can regrow limbs and make a clone of themselves that way so if say a Rex or other large theropod that could possibly rip any limb off and it could grow back as a newish indom
i’m not gonna hold you, but it would be WAY too overkill, a pretty good cloning plus regenerative limbs and muscles would be…. certainly something (also i’m not sure this form of regeneration or cloning would have the capability of healing bones)
Man now i just need the perfected hank. It would look so good and be so cool.
