The new Sonic Prime screenshots are incredible. There’s so many little details and I love it! The CGI looks a lot like unleashed, and if you’re a Sonic fan, you know that’s the best CGI of sonic we have ever gotten. If this rivals unleashed in CGI, it’s like we will have a multi-hour unleashed CGI movie, and if you are a sonic fan, or you have played the game, you know that the CGI is incredible! I'm thinking the concept art design will be used later in the story since it seems from the very few sneak peeks we've had so far that Sonic will travel between different worlds. He could be using that outfit in one of the worlds to blend in, or simply so as a "glow-up". But even if that's not the case, I really enjoy how Sonic looks in the previews so far, it's definitely an improvement from some past incarnations.
1:01 "Look at the grass. Why is there so much detail?" I started laughing so hard. I didn't even notice the grass had that much detail. What the heck?! That's amazing! The animation already looks way better than Sonic Boom, and the expressiveness of the characters really sold it for me. I've always liked 2D more because of expressiveness in facial expressions. So, this is a really nice change. I love the small details like his quills and such. It makes him look more complete as a character design.
He looks so expressive! 🥰🥰🥰 I'm digging the textures and the style! Granted, he was also expressive in Boom but to see Modern Sonic so beautifully executed is very surreal! 💙 (I want to bring up the Sonic Unleashed begining cutscene, but... idk that seems too easy.)
Maybe those newer gloves and shoes (from the early concept arts) are something Sonic gets later in the series. Basically he has his more iconic gloves and shoes on for the first episode or so, then gets the new ones

I’d like to predict that the designs would change to the more complex ones that we’ve seen in the earlier concept art. Given from the actual sneak peeks that we’re given so far, it looks like the same Green Hills Zone theme that we have already seen plenty of times throughout the franchise. Hopefully will we get to see Sonic and his friends’ designs get more detailed as they get older later on in the development!
This art style really works for Sonic. Plus, as a Ninjago enjoyer, the textures on the 3d models is something I'm used to from Wildbrain, and they are amazing and a treat to see on Sonic

The details in the grass are to show off how far technology and the industry has come, they likely used PBR textures with heightmap information, giving great detail on a simple model. It's likely just a simple plane they use and apply this texture to make it look like individually modeled blades of grass.

It looks like a slightly shortened 06 model with more joints added for better expression. The lower eyes, the slightly triangular torso and limbs, the thinner spines, and the top spine being placed higher are all the same things that make the 06 model stand out from the standard
This makes him look more like an anthropomorphic animal and not a plastic action figure In the games his fur is one solid color which makes it look like plastic I really like this new design I wonder how good the show will be I'm so looking forward to this!
They Should make a episode(if they make an show of this) where Metal Sonic one day he escapes from eggman (He escapes because he is tired of being used to fight against Sonic and always gets beat up, while eggman doesn’t get the consequences of pain)and lives in a forest, and overtime he evolves and adapts to not following program.
