John's my favorite, but I'm a fan of all of the Beatles. While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one of my top songs from 'the boys'. I still listen to All Things Pass, on a regular basis. And, ty George for Life of Brian!
Thats for sure. I think his album " *All Things Must Pass* " is still the greatest album ever after the breakup! I was 16 years old when my parents gifted me the album for Christmas. 1970. George's album got me through the passing of my grandma 😢
@@michaeljdonoughjr9558 George tuvo cancer de pulmón y lo superó, al entrar un intruso en su casa y darle más de 40 puñaladas volvió a desencadenar el cancer y esta vez ya fue letal.
I was 14 at this time and had just got into The Beatles in a big way a year before. I was pretty devastated. At the time, John Lennon was my favourite Beatle, but as I age I find I like George Harrison the best.
George Harrison passed away from cancer in 2001, and now in 2023, George Alagiah, the news anchor at the beginning of the video, has also passed from the awful illness. RIP to both, a pair of great Georges.
And also thanks Tom petty Prince Jeff Lynne Steve winwood And Dahni Harrison For playing while my guitar gently weeps at the 2004 rock n roll hall of fame for George
I love George. He will be in my heart until I die. I am 67 years old and have beat cancer already. He was my first crush at 12 years old. This love has lasted 55 years. ❤️🌹❤️
"The Happy Beatle" was too young to leave this Earth....I had no idea he was only 58. The legacy he has left us now belongs to the history books, and to our hearts......
I remember turning on the television and hearing the news that morning...I was devastated and cried for a week off and on. Still get teary eyed as he was and still is my favorite Beatle.
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was 22 years old when George Harrison passed away. I remember seeing all the news stories about him. But what brought me to tears the most was when the radio played My Sweet Lord. I remember thinking "He is with him now." To this day whenever I hear that song I cry my eyes out.
I only just started senior school when George Harrison died. I vaguely remember seeing the news on TV, but didnt know much about The Beatles nor George Harrison at the time. Now, as a fan and looking back on this, it's both upsetting and devastating. R. I. P. George Harrison. I wish I knew you better before you left our world😢
Seeing this as a 9 year old beatle obsessed fanatic when he passed away in 2001 really hurt me because ive listened to the Beatles since I was in the womb and when I was 4 I first saw A hard days night on VHS and it made me pick up my dads acoustic and learn to play. George and John were both my favorites and I always wanted to meet them until I found out that John had died 16 years earlier so I always had aspirations of meeting George at least and then this happened and it gutted me that my favorite musicians and inspirations are dead:( Maybe I still have a chance to meet them on the other side
Much missed even twenty years since his passing. RIP George, and a trillion thanks for the countless moments of pure joy your music has brought me and millions of others!!!
Conscious of God,fearless of death,at peace..George left his body as a wise , enlightened human being. The quiet, the mystic one,l'angelo misterioso was and will remain for ever a great inspiration... Love him deeply.
My sister knew George Harrison and regarded him as her favorite Beatle. George Harrison, like the other members of the Beatles, will always be remembered and have a special place in music history. A great shame he died relatively young. Liverpool is one of my favourite cities in Britain, thanks to the Beatles. The Cavern Club is absolutely fantastic and one could spend days there listening to the music of the Beatles.
Thank You George. I started practicing TM (transcendental meditation) because of George and the band in the early 70s. It has completely saved my life. It is a relaxation technique. Thank You Thank You Thank You George
George Harrison is missed even today he had religious beliefs which steered him to many beautiful songs his life was shortened by a brutal illness which cost him his life There will never a talent like George Harrison again but he has reunited to his Maker God Rest in Peace
Not only did George write beautiful songs ,some to God ,he actually knew God by the wisdom of Indian spirituality that he shared with us, thanks George, you helped us to understand so much about the real truth of ourselves that has been kept hidden for so long,.... maybe unknowingly that was your mission, if so, job well done..................R.I.P Sweet George , Yeah yeah yeah !
The night of his passing A DC TV station ran the clip of him doing "Roll Over Beethoven", the first song performed at the first Beatles US concert which was held in DC 2/11/64. Very touching.
I shall never get over that day I loved George so much he was such a beautiful soul and we need people like him in our lives, nearly twenty years gone and yet he will always be.
Born 22 years after Lennon died and a few months after George did, blessed to be alive while Ringo and Paul are here and when the day comes that we lose one if them it will be very sad.
Thank you George for the love peace and happiness you've given to the world your legacy will go on forever my dear lad you will be .loved for life "My Sweet Lord" God Bless You RIP peace on earth your fan forever ....All Those Year's Ago...Now we live a Day In A Life
Paul considers him his 'baby brother' but Paul was only 8 mos. older than George. Younger brother would sound more like it. Lennon was 2.5yrs older than George. That was the big age difference in the band especially that George was being considered let in the group when Lennon was 16.
I was shocked when I heard George passed away about a decade after the fact. I wondered why I hadn't heard about it but I had joined the Army and left to basic training Nov 15th 2000 and they completely cut us off from the outside world. My 1sr cassettes at the age of 5 where Queen, Janis Joplin, the Doors, Jimmi Hendrix and Sgt peppers lonely hearts club band. That's great but if all four members were still here then the Beatles would reunite a bunch of times
Rest in Heaven peacefully George. You are truly missed
it's obvious that Paul loved George very much.the baby brother comment only proves that he regarded him like family
George was always my favorite Beatle, when I saw them for the first time in ‘63 and I was 14.
