Isn't this what Yeshua (Jesus, for those of a Christian background) talked about in the Christian gospels? It would work as long as there were other people who had the ability and willingness to share out of their means. I think it would break down if EVERYONE did it, though.
A world without money could be better than the present mess, but how do we get there? What actions will ensure it? I think we need to use what we have in the present system. We have to use the present system itself because it is what we have available to us. There is no moneyless country we can move to. So make your plans based on what you have. That is what I am doing. I have accumulated various assets over the decades and I aim to use them to get more as a group than I can on my own. I think it is possible for a transition group to grow exponentially very quickly if it uses money judiciously. I think it should be possible to double the number of members every year. If it can also double the number or value of assets every year then the sky is the limit. It is assets like land and properties and businesses that count more than money itself. Money acts as an enabler (after taxes). As the group makes money and buys assets, it becomes more attractive (all else being equal). A group with land and labour and income can grow its own food and get the rest of the things it needs from its multiplicity of businesses.
Money is simply a medium of exchange, nothing more, nothing less. Without it, life would be a never-ending series of fetch-quests for us to satisfy even our most basic needs.
i typed on google "village in canada where people dont use money and help each other as neighbors" - but cant help any place like this, and she talks about it at the start!

Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) has had a significant impact on society and the way we interact with one another. It has enabled businesses to automate many of their processes, cutting down on the need for human labour, and making work more efficient. This, in turn, has led to a shift towards a moneyless society, as AI has made it possible for people to get whatever they need without having to spend money. The purpose of this paper is to examine the ways in which AI has facilitated this shift and to explore the implications of such a society. Introduction The concept of a moneyless society is one that has been explored by various thinkers and academics throughout history. Many have suggested that such a society would be an ideal one, in which people would be able to get whatever they needed without having to worry about the constraints of the monetary system. However, the idea of such a system has always been deemed unworkable, as it was believed that there would be no way to allocate resources in a fair and effective manner without the use of money. However, with the rise of artificial intelligence, this paradigm may be shifting. AI has made it possible for businesses to automate many of their processes, which has led to a reduction in the need for human labour. As such, people are no longer required to work in order to acquire the things they need, as they can be obtained through other means. This has, in turn, made it possible for people to shift towards a moneyless society. How AI has facilitated a moneyless society AI has led to a significant reduction in the need for human labour, which has in turn made it possible for people to acquire the things they need without having to spend money. There are several ways in which AI has facilitated this shift: Automation of production processes: AI has made it possible for businesses to automate many of their production processes, which has led to a reduction in the need for human labour. This means that products can be produced at a much faster rate and with greater efficiency, which has driven down their cost. As a result, people are now able to acquire the things they need without having to spend as much money. Distribution of resources: AI has also made it possible for resources to be distributed more efficiently. With the use of algorithms, it is now possible to allocate resources in a way that is both fair and effective. This means that people are able to get access to the things they need, even if they don't have the financial means to do so. Sharing and collaboration: AI has also facilitated the sharing and collaboration of resources. With the use of platforms such as Uber and Airbnb, people are able to share their resources with others, which has reduced the need for people to buy their own. This means that people are able to get access to the things they need without having to spend as much money. Virtual goods and services: AI has also made it possible for people to acquire goods and services that are entirely virtual. This means that they don't have to spend money on physical goods, but can instead access them through the internet. This has made it possible for people to acquire things like entertainment and education without having to spend a penny. Implications of a moneyless society The shift towards a moneyless society has several implications, both positive and negative. Some of the positive implications include: Increased equality: A moneyless society would be one in which everyone has equal access to the things they need. This would help to reduce income inequality, which is a significant problem in many countries. Reduced environmental impact: A moneyless society would also reduce the environmental impact of human consumption. Without the need to acquire goods through monetary means, there would be less need for the production of physical goods, which would reduce the amount of waste generated. Increased social connectedness: A moneyless society would also facilitate increased social connectedness. Without the need to worry about money, people would be able to spend more time engaging in social activities, which would help to build stronger communities. However, there are also several negative implications of a moneyless society: Lack of incentive: Without the need to work in order to acquire the things we need, people may lack the incentive to work. This could lead to a decrease in productivity and economic growth. Reduced innovation: A moneyless society may also lead to a reduction in innovation, as there would be less incentive for businesses to invest in research and development. Increased government control: A moneyless society would also require a significant amount of government control in order to ensure that resources are allocated in a fair and effective manner. This could lead to a loss of individual freedom and autonomy. Conclusion AI has made it possible for people to shift towards a moneyless society, in which goods and services can be acquired without the use of money. While this shift has several positive implications, it also has its drawbacks. As such, it is important to carefully consider the implications of a moneyless society before embarking upon such a path.

In Europe there are open refrigerators for those in need. People pit food in and take it is out as needed. Maybe in other places too. In the future there is no such thing as money. Instead there is a life of great inner substance that satisfies.
we need to realize we are all humans, why do we confine ourselves to our countries our companies. We need to end money and end suffering. I think anyone who works on a farm for example. If they didn't need money I don't think they would mind working a little bit to feed others. I would work on a farm to feed others... I think all the peoples would do their jobs not as much as they do now but enough for all the need in the world and more.
I agree with you about volunteering your time for the cause. Even in this society we still volunteer our time. Volunteering at a farm to help feed people is a start but with today's technology we really don't need all the land farms take up and the amount of people to run the farm. We now have the technology to build fully automated vertical farms. Very few volunteers would be needed, if any at all. This technology can be implemented locally throughout the world. This is only further proof that money isn't needed any more.

If you are a follower of Christ that understands the teachings of Christ, you know this is what our life should be like. Jesus told the young rich ruler, to sell all that he has and give to the poor. I do not know a Christian that stores up wealth. This may sound odd because it is not a common practice or teaching of today's church. Find out the truth yourself in the likes of John 13:13-35; Matt 25: 31-46; Luke 18:18-22 and Luke 10:25-37. We cannot serve God and money.
It's not just that... it's also that someone starting on the bottom can't afford college, nor can their parents and grandparents combined... whereas a middle class average person can afford college for all they're kids for as long as their kids want. Not just that because those poor families have to live together and pull together just to get by much less buy a piece of property or invest 10% they're lucky to have enough money just to have food on the table. The value we place on an individuals time is very little unless it's our choice to make, but not everyone has that choice. Even if they do, if there are opportunities available, I don't know what they are. Which is part of the problem if that's the case.

Sounds nice... but the problem in the way of thinking/living is : everything she gets (if it is food, or somewhere to sleep/live or else) from goodwilling people (like her network/friends) for free, those people have to earn that in the first place. So for everything she needs to survive (as limited as she makes it), the goodwilling giver has to pay for (earn it/work for it). So in fakt she is not living without money... it is only, that the money is coming from someone else. That would be OK if she would not have the possibility to earn what she needs... but she made the choice not to earn it for herself. Her way of living is, what in biology is called being a "parasite"......... And to those who now think that I´m whatever and just want to make down the way she lives, I want to say : If she would live in somekind of self-sufficient hippie community where she works as hard as the other members, so that the community can survive (grow food for everybody/ help building houses or at least huts/or do something else), I would not say anything... but she does not... she only exist (as she explaind)
7 лет назад+6
She is willing to cooperate- she exchanges her time and work for living, food, etc. So in fact she is not totally a parasite- she lives in an exchange economy.
@ That's the problem with barter/exchange though; you have to have a coincidence of needs to make it work. If I am a fisherman by trade and I need a new shirt, I need to find someone willing to a. needs fish, and b. has shirts, and c. is willing to trade their clothing for my fish. Physical money eliminates waiting for such coincidences, as it is a universal unit of exchange. I can sell my fish for currency to whoever wants or needs them, but then use that currency to by clothing.
I disagree on the basis that although the immediate public appeared to be distracted, many of us, on the web, are paying attention to her ideas that would otherwise have passed below the radar.
Money is just a way we trade things. What she’s doing is that she has decided to stop trading money and trade her services instead for food and shelter. She still trading something.
Once the tug of war is over and everything is open sourced we'd have to put in way less effort in developing technologies we need like phones. That along with the fact that more than half of our time, which is now spent in keeping each other under control and therefore gets wasted, can be saved we'd have to work less than 2-3hrs a day to achieve the same standards of living and progress we're able to achieve now. And under such circumstances I see no reason why we'd not be volunteering to work towards producing those goods we need without being coerced by monetary barriers. The world currently produces more than twice the amount of food we need actually but somehow gets wasted. As for the tedious work we can quite easily automate them with current technologies. There's just not enough incentive to do it right now with cheap labor available from the 3rd world. By freeing up the people and providing education for free we'd be in a much better postion to educate ourselves for it instead of just struggling to meet the ends.

Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has had a significant impact on society and the way we interact with one another.
Introduction
The concept of a moneyless society is one that has been explored by various thinkers and academics throughout history.
How AI has facilitated a moneyless society
AI has led to a significant reduction in the need for human labour, which has in turn made it possible for people to acquire the things they need without having to spend money. There are several ways in which AI has facilitated this shift:
Automation of production processes: AI has made it possible for businesses to automate many of their production processes, which has led to a reduction in the need for human labour.
Implications of a moneyless society
The shift towards a moneyless society has several implications, both positive and negative. Some of the positive implications include:
Increased equality: A moneyless society would be one in which everyone has equal access to the things they need.
However, there are also several negative implications of a moneyless society:
Lack of incentive: Without the need to work in order to acquire the things we need, people may lack the incentive to work.
Conclusion
AI has made it possible for people to shift towards a moneyless society, in which goods and services can be acquired without the use of money. While this shift has several positive implications, it also has its drawbacks. As such, it is important to carefully consider the implications of a moneyless society before embarking upon such a path.

I can sell my fish for currency to whoever wants or needs them, but then use that currency to by clothing.
it woud be a great thing, the reaching of God's will!!!!!
Todays Great Reset is the opposite of the reset Heidemarie is talking about here, don't get it twisted
Only problem is greed (as we know and love it) would disappear ?? Can't have that !
Without money, greed dissipates....
Bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I love you
A world driven by pursuit of PARADISE HEREAFTER THROUGH helping others. That is JIHAD FI SABILILLAH in Islam - struggle/sacrifice in the way of God.
The guy at the end got it all wrong. Of course she wants everyone to try it!
I would have rather read subtitles because her english is not great. I'm sure there are some ideas missing or couldn't communicate the idea well.
What a strange audience! They were checking their mobile phones...
see the audience...she might aswell be talking to herself lol
I disagree on the basis that although the immediate public appeared to be distracted, many of us, on the web, are paying attention to her ideas that would otherwise have passed below the radar.
Money is just a way we trade things. What she’s doing is that she has decided to stop trading money and trade her services instead for food and shelter. She still trading something.
The Turks backstage be like “quick, get her off the stage! Para is life!” *sigh*
Who will make iPhones for free and would apple companny work for free?
