On May 30, 2011, American Idol season 10 winner Scotty McCreery arrived to Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park at Walt Disney World via motorcade with Mickey Mouse. After signing a few autographs, McCreery answered questions on stage and performed his new single "I Love You This Big," also explaining the song's meaning.

Scotty Mccreery is the only winner of American Idol (that I know of) who thanked the Lord at the finale.
I love Scotty, and I commend him for being who he is and not being afraid to share his faith...
Another brother in Christ?! SWEET!! this might sound creepy haha, but it just brings me great joy how he's open about his relationship with his FATHER! ive heard a quote before and it goes like this... "I asked Jesus, 'How much do you love me?' and Jesus said, 'This much.' Then he stretched out his arms and died." - i dont know, when Scotty opened out his arms and said "this big" it reminded me of that :) well, God's awesome, and Scotty hope to meet you one day! hope ya'll have a great day :)
Hurray for Scotty! He has a great voice and a great personality! He has a way of drawing the crowd into his songs. Such a great guy!! And I'm not even a big country fan. Plus I was for Casey, yet I still am so glad that Scotty won. And thank you Scotty for not being afraid to mention your faith in Christ. Its ironic how people get upset about him mentioning his beliefs, yet they are spouting off their beliefs about Scotty on this comment site. Thank you Lord for people like Scotty!!
His faith shows how real the Lord is in peoples lives no matter how big anyone is. His heart is right and his faith is strong. He said when he won none of this would have happened without his lord and savior. People these are strong words from a 17 year old just starting his life
i knew he was gonna win from the very first time i heard him on the auditions hes just so good and he has a great stage presence and at 17 if he can make it then just think what you or i could do if we put our hearts into it

@skylight1219 No I'm huge on freedom of speech and gay day at Disney is the shit, but look when you're in a position of overwhelming attention then you should put away personal dispositions on controversial subjects to yourself is all. Besides I do have some what prejudice against religion, gay day is a real thing you've seen it I'm assuming, Jesus spreading his arms and saying I love you this big on the other hand you haven't and is not.

Why not? They have a gay day the first week of June. It shouldn't be preached at Disney either, but, sure is on display. Last I checked, we still have freedom of speech in this country. If it offends you, then I'd have to say, you aren't living right.

@Yubel15 i accept that he does have a good voice, however i don't think that how deep someone's voice is constitutes its quality. Also i still think there were people on American Idol who had better voices than him and yet didn't win. James Durbin, Casey, Lauren, Pia just to name a few...
let's be honest, he didn't have the best voice by any measure on american idol. I was not blown away by any of his performances, and I really don't understand how he even reached the live shows. It baffles me...
Religion shouldn't be preached in Disney.
This is such a great song....... and his voice is AMAZING !
