I’m finding my goth style at 40. So never to late yall. Honestly found that just adding black lipstick can change how the outfit is perceived. Love the channel.
never too late! I hate how society tells people, (mainly women) they have to conform and look 'normal' once they are older, when I am 70/80 I am still going to be dressing punk and showing my tattoos and piercings !!!
I've finally started branching out with my style and the clothes I'm getting. My mom and grandma finally know what I like now and I'm getting more confident in my sewing. Can't wait to see where I go from here!
I cannot recommend thrifting enough! my bf and I(both ftm) went thrifting together, he found a full like three piece suit that looked like it belonged to a middle aged gay alcoholic casino owner, and I found mens dress shoes as well as a big black trench coat, and it makes me so happy
I have a couple of suggestions! - think BODYSUITS. They can be very inexpensive and they come in every colour/style (I have two that have long sleeves too, so they are super hot in the winter!). Especially if you like more croppy sweaters/tops in general, having bodysuits underneath that don't move around when you walk is very good in the winter and looks good for layering. - materials are key sometimes! Try to stay away from microfiber if you can and go for leggings/tighs made of wool, cashmere (those are expensive tho), fleece etc. Especially if you're sensitive to the cold, they can save the day! Wool in general is also insulating, it will keep you extra warm and avoid the cold getting to you.

Im in the grey now, but i’m hoping to move out and get back on track so I could try out these cool looks. Thanks for a great look book, stay spooky :)
Oh my goodness I cannot imagine that; that seriously sucks and I’m sorry you had to experience that :( I really hope you can find a safe space and rebuild your wardrobe ! That seriously blows, I’m sending a very big hug ❤️❤️❤️
my parents are the same, they are conservative Irish catholics and hate how I dress, they say everything I wear ''looks daft''... I showed them one of rabbits DIY videos and they said ''they do the same smathering as you'' lol XD some people will never get it unfortunately
Your parents are control freaks much? That's terrible, and I feel bad for you. How the heck were they able to do that? Were you not there? When I lived at home years ago, I was working, had my own car, and bought whatever I wanted to wear. We did have a big fight when I was 16, and I left to live with my friend and her older sister, and never went back. Later, I my 20s, we did reconcile. However, goth wasn't a thing yet back then, so I was punk. I hope you can recover your style soon. (Jan Griffiths).
Rabbit, Rabbit!! I did a thing! I made a battle flannel!! I'm so happy! I made and put pockets on it, patches, buttons, all that I madeeeee! I even made little angel wings on the back :DD I can't remember if I already told you- but if I did I got more done!

THIS COMMENT!!! I can't find ANYTHING on Canadian winters!!! It's insane!! And if I do? It's like,,, more classy, minimalist & basic? Not that basic is bad! The outfits still look cute. But I'm just looking to dress more alt in the winter lmao, I don't just wanna wear 2 colours & a basic pair of gloves and call it a day :") So I'm so happy to see Rabbit post a video like this ;;×;; Our cold butts are saved!! 😂😂 I find that any ALT related video based on our weather temps, helps out soooo muuuchh. Even if it's a shorter video, just telling u want to wear, not even a how to layer. Is decent enough! I honestly haven't started the video yet LMAO I just got so excited abt your comment, and i KNEW what I was gonna b in for when watching their videos ;;w;; I can't wait for us peeps to dress warm & look super cute too while doing so! UwU Hope u stay warm this winter!! Hope you have a wonderful day! 😊💖
Tips: If you are going for fairycore/goblincore kind of vibes thrift stores/charity shops are a great place to find very cheap and cool jumpers/sweaters, I usually look in the men’s section for oversized ones. But I have found some really cool jumpers, recently I found a hand knitted one that gives great fall/winter vibes. Long skirts are your best friend! I know this was mentioned in the video but I love wearing thick tights underneath to stay warm. Chunky shoes/boots like doc martens are great and keep ur feet very toasty and also look cute with long flowy skirts. I have found so many cute hats at charity shops recently so always make sure to look for hats and also scarves, I love to look for thin and small scarves to tie in my hair as headbands (not necessarily a winter tip but just thought I’d mention while talking abt scarves!) Corduroy is great to wear in cold weather, I find it keeps me quite warm and It looks great too. These were mainly for fairycore/goblincore/dark academia kind of style but you could apply them to diff styles too I guess! Also thank you if you read this all! Remember to care for your body today and remember you are loved :)
Video suggestion dressing alt/goth/punk/ while wearing basic work uniform. Most jobs (basic minimum wage) don't allow skirts or dresses most recommend jeans or pants and a t-shirt (some may also require you to wear vest or apron) Lookbook ideas for basic job uniforms or what are some outfits you wear to work Would love to see either one 💜 please ☺️
thanks for helping me find my style and building my wardrobe, im a trans girl and this video has been such an inspiration! I definitely will be making my own patch pants now!
Hey Rabbit! Just wanted to tell you, that you are a very big Inspiration for me! I started painting my own patches and sewing the on a dotted skirt and it just looks awesome! Thanks for All the ideas and i love your channel! ❤❤❤
I appreciate how you talk about things you like without being negative about other things. That is so common and a huge bummer, so I appreciate you :D.
Hellbunny is literally my favorite brand! Their stuff is great but always a size to big. A size S is in reality a size M, so ceep that in mind when buying.
I have always felt that I'm too old to find my alternative style but you're videos make me feel so safe and appreciated. Thank you so much for making these videos they're so helpful! ❤😊
Layered t shirts, oversized hoodies or grandpa cardigans, and wear pants under a maxi skirt. Arm warmers, leeves with thumb holes, fingerless gloves layered over fingered gloves. And, when in a southern city where it doesn't get hot, people donate a lot of their cold weather clothes. I've gotten the best sweaters and coats at thrift stores in Austin, for example.
I also have another idea for keeping your hands warm, If you have old socks or get new socks you can turn them into gloves if you cut the ankle part and toes the sew the ankle part together when the sock is inside out, then if you want to you can cut thumb holes.
Pausing the video at 40 minutes in because I've seen so many outfits that I could make with clothes in my closet that I thrifted over the past few years, but am always postponing to wear because I don't feel confident enough to put them together. Seeing you style them and be so comfortable and ~you~ in them really inspires me to at least try to wear them and see how they feel - whichever mood I'm in that day. I'm looking forward to watching the DIY jacket video after this one and I'm definitely going to subscribe, thank you for being a breath of fresh air xx
I have a few union suits (onesies) that I wear under clothes in the winter. They are very warm, almost too warm at times. It gets pretty cold in norther AZ where I live in the winter, but nothing like Canada (where I was born) or Michigan (where I was raised), but still cold enough to wear sherpas and other warm weather gear. Great ideas and lookbook. (Jan Griffiths).
First can I say you look like a cool fairy that lives in a lavender crystal cave (in the best way imaginable), but I just discovered your channel and I love your style and energy. I’m just getting into thrifting, diy-ing and finally getting my own style and you are super inspiring!

every time i see you post i say fuck yea! ever since i found your channel and started watching your vids ive been exploring my own style and been less self conscious about trying new funky things! and ive found and made so many outfits i love, versus stuff i was wearing just because thats what i had, i feel more me!!

Ahh I love that Rabbits videos tend to be longer so i can get myself a cup of tea and just enjoy. Yeah- normally im a pretty quiet watcher but i just had to say this.
I love that look lace spider gloves button up top and the spaghetti strap tank top it's so cute I also wear long sleeve shirts with spaghetti strap tank tops during the fall winter
hey i live in a really cold place atm (the uk climate is ridiculous, the summers are too hot & the winters are practically artic) so thanks for this video. one thing that i’ve found is also just constantly layering t-shirt underneath your actual outfit is a super easy way to keep warm 💕💕
@@hoshikozombie and the secondary school lasses are still walking around with short skirts when I'm practically freezing to death XD I'm so jealous of their cold resistance lol
Wool is another good material. It's very warm and it also dries quickly, which is extremely important to staying warm, especially if it snows where you live, or if you're anything like me and go hiking through a damn river. Remember that cotton kills (when it's wet out), you're much more likely to get hypothermia if your clothes are wet, and cotton dries very slowly. That's probably getting more into wilderness survival and outdoorsy stuff, but still good to keep in mind, cotton pants like sweats or jeans, or cotton socks aren't great in snow!
currently binging all of your videos!! i love diy and seeing how people express themselves through their clothing. will definitely try some of these out in my mountain winters :P
That’s so sweet thank you !!! I also love that about diy - it’s amazing how much personality we can infuse in our clothes with just a bit of time and effort ! 🥰 thank you thank you and good luck when winters come!
28:43 I figured someone would've mentioned it in the last video :0 but they're called kukris! They're a famous part of Nepali Gurkhas' fighting gear. Also a really good tool for chopping through brush, like a short machete!
For jackets I can recommend getting a ski jacket, you can sometimes find those secondhand and there exist really cute ones that are made out of fake fur but they still have the extra warm lining stuff meaning you still don't have to compromise warmth for style. I personally just got a really boring black one because warmth always comes before style for me. I still wear my more alternative boots because I found some who are warm as fuck. Ski jackets are the best thing I ever found for myself though by far and mine only cost me 10 bucks when the brand I got usually goes for at least 120 to 150 bucks on the low end of their product line. The one I got apparently was originally 250 bucks.
I got 1$ leggings at a garage sale. I cut biker shorts for new underwear, and the leg made a perfect bell bottom sleeve. Crazy prints make a fun layering piece.
ahh thank you for the tips, rabbit!! you're awesome! i recently got this really cool leather trenchcoat at a thrift store and i'm really excited to style it with some gothic type of looks this winter :)) anyway i hope you're doing well!
A unique one - Dabi coat from Dabi cosplay of My Hero; put it underneath a flannel and on top of the flannel put on a fluffy soft sweater. Then some colorful leggings, combat boots, and a bowler hat. Kind of unique cause it’s an in between outfit of aesthetics and a reason more to wear my Dabi coat, so it won’t be essentially useless, being part of a cosplay outfit.
i was waiting for this vid from you oh my god, thankyou so much ive been dying wearing ripped jeans on like 3° degrees but my god are you gorgeous i love your creativity and how kind you are😭🤚🏽
Hey ! I’ve been watching your videos for a few months and just wanted to say how helpful they are , I used to have a lot of trouble with knowing how to get alt fashion stuff but your videos helped me see the use of the clothes I alredy have so I just wanted to say ty for making them !!
Great advice and great looks 😊 I hope you filmed the video/looks over the course of several days otherwise you would have been exhausted trying on of those looks 😅 Take care and stay safe xxxxxx 💜🖤🦇
i love to layer flannel underneath my leather jacket, its warm and helps create a color combo for ur outfit ( i use my signature colors purple and black )
Thank you so much for all the advice! It really helps a lot as a puppy punk! I started dressing more of how I want to dress and my mom started noticing! And she’s totally fine with it! I’m so excited! I’ve started on my Battle jacket and it’s looking really good so far!
yoooo!!! I like to throw on your vids while I tinker away at projects, and I was literally about to sew on that exact “frequent criers” patch to my foraging bag! I looked up and had to do a double take 😮
Ahh thank you so much! And hell yeah!! I just found monster high in 2020(?) and completely fell in love with it !! I have a few old videos up about my doll collection n stuff (I plan to do more MH content soon I hope!) ❤️
I looove to layer! The only thing with me and lots of socks is that if I wear more than 3 pair, my feet hurt! Also, if I layer 3 skirts, my hips are in pain! It's just a matter of finding thicker socks and skirts so I don't have to layer too much.
Hi Rabbit! I made some tartan trousers the other day out of a long skirt from a charity shop! i’m so proud of myself and i’m obsessed with them 😅 i love making my own stuff and you give me inspo for more outfits 😁 also i love the pronoun patch! that’s a great idea i can’t wait to make a patch jacket!! currently binging all of your videos!! i love diy and seeing how people express themselves through their clothing. will definitely try some of these out in my mountain winters :P
That’s so sweet thank you !!! I also love that about diy - it’s amazing how much personality we can infuse in our clothes with just a bit of time and effort ! 🥰 thank you thank you and good luck when winters come!
Went thrifting today I get almost all of my clothes second hand. Found so many good things.
Awww congrats!! That’s so exciting! I also thrift most of my clothes - it’s the best ! 🥰🥺🥳
28:43 I figured someone would've mentioned it in the last video :0 but they're called kukris! They're a famous part of Nepali Gurkhas' fighting gear. Also a really good tool for chopping through brush, like a short machete!
THANK YOU!!!! I really appreciate finally knowing the name (and use!) ❤️
I love layering wool tights and sweaters and skirts to keep warm
Such a good combo!!! 🥰
My favorite outfit is hell bunny vintage coat🖤🖤
Thank you!!! I’m literally so in love with it 🥺😭😭😭😭
For jackets I can recommend getting a ski jacket, you can sometimes find those secondhand and there exist really cute ones that are made out of fake fur but they still have the extra warm lining stuff meaning you still don't have to compromise warmth for style.
The one I got apparently was originally 250 bucks.
my #1 tip is too buy some thick warm skintone tights and then put your fishnets or cut up tights over top of them
That was one of my tips too :-)
I cant put into words how much I LOVE your hair omfg
I got 1$ leggings at a garage sale. I cut biker shorts for new underwear, and the leg made a perfect bell bottom sleeve.
Crazy prints make a fun layering piece.
Hi Rabbit, thank you for being a outfit inspiration and giving me so many good ideas! Hope you have a good day💕
I’ve been looking at those adorable mushrooms in your hair throughout the whole video. Thanks for the life hacks💕
ahh thank you for the tips, rabbit!! you're awesome! i recently got this really cool leather trenchcoat at a thrift store and i'm really excited to style it with some gothic type of looks this winter :)) anyway i hope you're doing well!
I’m going to a concert in February and I needed some outfit inspo, so thank you for this!
Aww yay! Enjoy your concert 🥳🥳🥳 ty for the nice comment!
The struggle of: do I dress alternative or cute? If so, what style? So much to choose, I wish I knew.
That Mushroom hair clip is God tier.
You're so pretty/hansom ( which ever you prefer ) I love watching your tips and hacks they help so much ♡♡♡
i was waiting for this vid from you oh my god, thankyou so much ive been dying wearing ripped jeans on like 3° degrees
but my god are you gorgeous i love your creativity and how kind you are😭🤚🏽

You have so many awesome things and you've really come up with some great outfits. Love your rings and necklaces. Stay cool!
That is a truly truly impressive Monster High doll collection! What a great channel.
Hell Bunny is sold in every UK goth shop, I can wholeheartedly vouch for them 🖤
Ahhh to visit a UK goth shop 🥺🥰 that is awesome! Their designs are so good 😭
i love to layer flannel underneath my leather jacket, its warm and helps create a color combo for ur outfit ( i use my signature colors purple and black )
I looked up and had to do a double take 😮
YOUR OUTFITS ARE SO COOL!! your third look reminds me of a vampire pirate :DD
hii!! this video and you both are a very big inspiration to me and i think i will try a few of these!! very amazing:)

Ahh thank you so much! And hell yeah!! I just found monster high in 2020(?) and completely fell in love with it !! I have a few old videos up about my doll collection n stuff (I plan to do more MH content soon I hope!) ❤️
Omg the outfit with the leopard jacket totally reminded me of yungblud
I got a He'll bunny coat and I love it!
Hell yeah!!! 🥳🥰
I looove to layer! The only thing with me and lots of socks is that if I wear more than 3 pair, my feet hurt! Also, if I layer 3 skirts, my hips are in pain! It's just a matter of finding thicker socks and skirts so I don't have to layer too much.
Love your stuff, Rabbit!!!! I live in Canada too! This was much needed, thanks! :D
Thankyou so much for being you 💕💕

@@RattusRattus yay!!
I live in Minnesota so I deal with very similar weather to what you have in Canada, so this is gonna be super useful! I finally started dressing how I want this year, but it was during summer so I need these winter tips 😊
You are so adorable and I totally have the biggest crush. Awesome ideas!🖤
Rabbit you are such an inspiration!!!! Every time I watch your videos I get a boost of confidence!!! ❤ u
thank uuu!! ive just moved to a colder city and i needed a video like this
Congrats on the move!🥳 and good luck! ⛄️
This video is so great and helpful!! I totally agree that the best alt pieces are the ones you find or make yourself, that’s really what alt is meant to be lol
I’d really love to know how you used to do your makeup when your color scheme was greens and a little cottagecore, if you ever get a chance!
I love the mushroom thing in your hair
