Hey guys! We've been wanting to cover this one for ages and finally did it. WE LOVE THIS SONG! 😍 Of course nothing can ever come close to Queen's original, but it's amazing how well the song works as an instrumental. We were so happy to work with our friends from the Dover Quartet again on this one...they are so much fun and such incredible players. On another note, we wanted to thank all of you for helping us hit 400,000 subscribers a few days ago! You are the BEST. ❤️ (Also, thank you for all the lovely well wishes for our upcoming baby...we're getting pretty excited!)
Brooklyn Duo It came at the right time! Someone I know told me today that she was obsessed in Queen's version of this song. I shared this video to her a few minutes ago after discovering it was that same song - BEAUTIFUL!!
I think this is one of the reasons Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most iconic songs because it can be played in many different ways and it sounds awesome.
When i was about 6 years old I asked my dad innocently 'What's the most beautiful song in the world' and he had told me Bohemian Rhapsody. As a 25 year old now I still think he was right to this very day.
Whoever says classic and rock can't go together is wrong. Classic and rock are great alone, but together they're the best sound you'll ever hear on earth
Justin, this is no joke: 3 times the song has hit the charts 1 initial release 2 Soundtrack to Waynes World 3 the movie. No other song has done that. Also, cover bands doing this song and others play a note down, their singers can't match the original and last but not least the song itself. It's actually a composition with 5 verses and no chorus. Each verse carries it's own genre, 1st verse Acapella 2nd Ballad 3rd Opera 4th Rock 5th Coda. Can you think of any other song that carries those kinds of credentials?? Me neither. You're welcome. Move aside stairway to heaven, there's a new and old one taking your place. After all, the show must go on...
And that stupid record producer told Freddie Mercury that Bohemian Rhapsody would never make it because it was too long. Little did he know!!! RIP sweet Freddie-darling. 💖. You are missed.😭
I've been learning, too, on and off for a few years now. I'm close to 21 and I love playing the cello. I'm trying to find songs that I would like to cover with a group and this is one of them. I'm learning Canon in D right now, my first song and first time playing with a group. I'm still a super beginner. Good luck on you endeavors of learning this thing. It is not easy lol. Maybe that's why I love it
I was going to say "no words"', but I realize that I actually have many words to say about what you've done here. Having first heard this song when it was released in 1975, we just knew that this composition was destined for greatness. I want to say that Freddie Mercury composed this as a satire of classical opera, but I must say that it's very essence is, in fact, the dynamics and passion of the operatic genre. And we all know that Freddie had a passion for the dramatic. That is why this song has endured as one of the great anthems in the annals of rock history. A little bird told me that this was a major achievement for Brooklyn Duo, together with Dover, one of the world's great young String Quartets. Yet I was still unprepared for what I heard this morning. This arrangement was absolutely perfect and captured, first, the true essence of this song. But what was truly impressive were the musical nuances of every section by every instrument from 6 classical musicians who, individually, are at the top of their game, yet collectively, as an ensemble, are absolutely exquisite in execution. I don't know of anyone who has achieved more in the category of classical-rock crossover than you. Congratulations on such an achievement, and thanks for all that you do.
Senhor Doutor Professor Mestre i think all of the members of queen were classically trained! freddie mercury definitely was. it really shows in their work, doesn’t it?

Well, this is by far the most "coverable" Queen song: you can play it any way you want, on any set of instruments using almost any words.... and it ALWAYS sounds great (well, almost, lol). Damn! I can't believe I just heard Brian Mays' solo on the violin with better vibrato than the man himself! I didn't think it could be done on any instrument! Truly blew me away. Bravo Brooklyn Duo and the Dover Quartet, Bravo.
Normally my Queen obsessed partner dislikes me playing covers, but this time he couldn't help but sing along. We have been playing a game with your videos, timing him to see how long it takes for him to guess the Movie. This one was the quickest answer :') We love it (and he doesn't even like classical) so thank you for sharing this joy with us.

Never before has listening to a cover version of a song (which I first heard on the radio when I was a child) at my computer, at home, actually brought me to tears! What can I say? TOTALLY OVERWHELMING! The talent, the arrangement, the emotion, the precision... I could go on forever. Thank you.
This is absolutely incredidble!! I can almost hear Freddie Mercury singing right through this music
This is one of the best covers!! I love this!! You guys are truly talented
The unison of the players in your arrangement made it next level
Damn! I can't believe I just heard Brian Mays' solo on the violin with better vibrato than the man himself! I didn't think it could be done on any instrument! Truly blew me away. Bravo Brooklyn Duo and the Dover Quartet, Bravo.
I never heard the song played like this, you guys! My heart is racing, i'm stunned.
THIS MY FRIENDS brought tears to my eyes
This sent shivers down my spine! 😉
Absolutely brilliant - my son often likes to listen to this when we drive or at night ..... keep it up ... awesome
thelegofankid My body was aching the whole time
Damn, 'too late' to use that line
My time to comment in this thread has come.
My Heart has been lifted beyond belief. I have listened to every video I can find.
this song deserves to be played like this, its always been a masterpiece, well done for giving it some more justice
Yes, you are hearing it sing!....
absolutely beautiful. if your baby can hear yet, he/she should be the happiest infant in the world :)
The cello solos are among the finest pieces of music I have ever heard. All the 6 artists are outstanding but the cello on the left...
5:14 - 5:17 u could literally hear oh yeah oh yeah ....the power of music 😍😍😍😍
You have added life to this...thank you
literally the best cover of bohemian rhapsody ever
Normally my Queen obsessed partner dislikes me playing covers, but this time he couldn't help but sing along. We have been playing a game with your videos, timing him to see how long it takes for him to guess the Movie. This one was the quickest answer :') We love it (and he doesn't even like classical) so thank you for sharing this joy with us.
Absolutely fantastic! Amazing the guitar solo played on the violin, speechless. Greetings from Brazil.
Freddie is smiling with tears in his eyes up there
This violin making the sound of a guitar that tryes to imitare the sound of a violin is just so perfect 2:50
I fell in love with your covers after Take on Me, but this made me fall in love all over again and even harder than last time. You're all so talented, I was watching in awe the entire time :>
Giant Queen fan here. I LOVED this!
I actually nearly got to tears watching this. Great job!
I'm crying right now.
Thank you.
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me
Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, oh oh
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye everybody I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, oh oh (anyway the wind blows)
I don't want to die
Sometimes wish I'd never been born at all
I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, Scaramouch will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning very very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, figaro, magnifico
I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come easy go will you let me go
Bismillah, no we will not let you go, let him go
Bismillah, we will not let you go, let him go
Bismillah, we will not let you go, let me go
(Will not let you go) let me go (never, never let you go) let me go (never let me go)
Oh oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me for me for me
So you think you can stop me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh baby can't do this to me baby
Just gotta get out just gotta get right outta here
Oh oh oh yeah, oh oh yeah
Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me
Anyway the wind blows
Wow you know how to copy and paste. AMAZING!
The Bommerang what if he didn’t
You never know
Come on everyone already know it .. jk
Well, I think everyone knows the lyrics by heart, so there is no need to copy and paste
@@aidanparris5009 fuck off
As much as I like the original (it is in my “favourite songs of all time” playlist) I honestly didn’t think I would stick around for the whole video. Let’s face it, it’s a long song. LoL. But, I did. Not very often do I get the chills listening music. I did to this. Found you guys through a RUclips recommendation through watching a Break if Reality video. Got yourself a new subscriber. What a great way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon, digging up gold on the tubes.
Thank you.
Don't you mean a lazing SUNDAY afternoon ;) !
well if someone thinks six minutes is long... :) someone complete me
I pity your wife if you think six minutes is forever
@@omarburhanuddin5489 Going to the candidates debate... Laugh about it, shout about it, when you've got to choose..
I teared up.. I got goosebumps just listening to it.
4:23. ... *headbangs to the violin
