why can't this just be main spiderman? this is the most spiderman story in years.
+sm1carnage I know right this is the greatest its like what if one more day never happened and Peter isn't the batman of the Marvel Universe with a billion dollar corporation.
***** Well Spiderman as a father is a perfect evolution of his character since he has aged since becoming spiderman. I rather have him evolve as a character than what they are doing right now which is basically make him tony stark/batman billionaire. Spiderman at its core is the story of the little guy fighting the good fight in a city a hates him with little to no allies and the great power comes great responsibility, but we can't have Peter be a single kid living in Queens for the rest of the time. If Peter's character was going to evolve I rather have it be in something like Renew your Vows then what the fuck there doing now.

This is one of the rare stories that they did not ruined.
This story felt more like a true Spiderman story than any TAS arc in the last 10 years!
In my opinion, this is the best Spider-Man stories ive read in a long time. Really shows the growth of Peter and his family. It also shows that Annie understand that with great powers, comes great responsibilities. Peter's and MJ's concern of their daughter is understandable, but she still chooses to do the right thing and becomes a superhero. I love this family dynamic.

Annie May an May day Parker are technically two different characters. the name was an intentional change as was giving Annie MJ's hair. May day has her father's short brown hair after all. Annie was named after both MJ's aunt Anna and of course Peters aunt May

Everything that has happened after OMD has been crap, continuity wise. Throwing it all out is no real loss.

While I may not remember the date, I'll never forget the moment I walked into Barnes and Noble, headed to the comic section, intending to buy a certain manga, and saw the 'Renew Your Vows' graphic novel on display. I literally stopped in my tracks, let out a low, but audible "Ohhh crap, they have that!?" and picked it up INSTANTLY! I was NOT dissappointed. Buying that and the manga I wanted may have wiped out my funds that day, but it was TOTALLY worth it.

This is amazing! Spider man deserves this story! He deserves a happy family life and all the wonderful stories it can bring! And they did a great job on the character of his daughter! Another promising hero in the making!

I absolutely agree. renew your vows is an amazing story and it's what I wish the current spider-man stories were. if not for one more day then maybe we could have had this kind of Spidey series in the main Marvel Universe
i wish that mayday and annie parker were born in the same place as sisters. they both have powers like there father. would it great not only as sister but two superheroes fighting bad guys like there father.

It's not necessarily my favorite interpretation of Spiderman and Venom for that matter, but good lord is this line just amazing

Really enjoyed this presentation of the story. I don’t have the money, time, or long-term interest in following comics any more but this was a great way to get the story while getting ready for work.
Peter should be a college professor. It shows his intelligence, is well payed, and isn't the typical "ooh I'm smart so I'm rich and have a company."
In the reality of Annie-May Parker, Peter works at his daughter's school, but as a photography teacher.
This is one of my favorite spider-man comics
I personally like the current Spidey. I like his business style because it makes me feel like the character is growing and thats a big thing for me. I want to see growth in anyway. Which is hard because we have the multiple dimensions.
God i love their daughter so much. If only Green Goblin didn't cause the child's death or have her kidnapped and never found or whatever happened to her. Point is, wish she existed in the main continuity

Killing a psychopath/sociopath with murdererous intentions in the direct battle is a morally justified act. Leaving him alive on the other hand is indirectly unjust and evil.

it's a good story, but I'm looking for to peter's future. MJ can't just be known forever as just Peter's wife, she can be more than that so her not being with peter could be interesting. If you hate the new status than read the old comics. Also we have so many spider heroes so Peter doesn't need to worry and Miles is Peter's successor
+Larry Wolf actually he's never been written as idiot loser. He is an underachiever because Spider-Man interferes with him being a successful and productive adult. I don't agree with Peter needing to struggle financially or scrape by to be true. that parts always been wrong. it made sense when he was younger, but at some point, as long as he's allowed to age, success was inevitable. Peter is an inventive genius and always has been. what is currently happening in comics is something I have always wanted for him even though I know it won't last. and even though Parker industries is a global conglomerate capitalizing on the collapse of stark industries, Peter is still not a money guy. He gave himself a base salary to live on, and generate a ton of money to the uncle Ben foundation to help those in need. effectively helping far more people than if he were just barely scraping money to get by

One thing I didn’t like about this is the treatment the sinister six get. They’re supposed to be a big deal and Peter just beats them up like they’re nothing. They don’t even show us the fight. Also I love Mayday but her beating up the villains with no previous training and half of Peter’s strength (at best) is some bullshit.
The child in that universe is Annie-May Parker.
I have my problems with this story, specially in some of the dialogue (a think to wait for Dan Slott work) and i wouldn't put this in my top 10 of spiderman stories, but is definetly better than most of the post OMD era of the charather.

by far. the only one with emotional weight. because it wasn't part of 616, there was always a chance Peter would die, so when Peters life started fading and his life with his family was the only thing flashing before his eyes, I started gettin angry because historically, these aren't the things that motivate Peter to fight back and stay alive. then he hears his daughter cry out for her mother, and he's back d fighting harder than ever!!!! they got me

Doom (Who is now a God) took the beyonders power and took the remains of the multiverse and put the remains into one world BattleWorld. It has has some of the people and lands from other universes. This story is a Peter Parker from another world not from the main 616 World(this is the main universe)

Another thing, I'm a Liberal myself and I'm sick and tired of this forced diversity and politics. I'm okay with diversity as long as it's not forced down our throats or when the original hero dies, but what I want right now are good stories not forced right-wing or left wing politics.

@Oceanic I do it gives the character much more depth and development. Like he learns that responsibility just not applies to him being a hero but also marriage and fatherhood.
