For folders with large numbers of files I assume? It does take a couple seconds to load my screenshot folder in nautilus for example. I think they wait for all the metadata of all files to gather before even showing the contents
Not sure how clearing the hashtable instead of resetting the iterators increased performance so much. Of course there are other commits in the MR but still.
I still think windows is still worse in this aspect. There are many things windows has carried since windows 98, so, why not also this kind of optimization issues?
