I’ve just sat down with a cuppa and watched this. It was so much fun. I guess the beauty of Soul Decks are that they seldom change, so I can totally understand why yours are still there 4.5 years on! Loved the additions too! 🙏🏼❤️

I loved this. Thank you. Would love to hear your 10 oracle choices in the same categories if haven’t been done already and if you are up to it.

I so resonated with your comment on the 10 of swords in the Shadowscape deck! I also do not necessarily read according to RWS as I feel it is a bit limiting sometimes so it was wonderful to hear someone else expressing the 10 of swords as the culmination of the mental realm suit. Thank you for your insight 😊

What a great selection of decks. I have been hunting for Bohemian Gothic at an affordable price for a few years now, so can appreciate your passion for that imagery. Hopefully, it will be reprinted one day.

My two main core decks are the Chrysalis Tarot along with The Map oracle. They work just so well together. 💖
I very recently added Guardians of Night Tarot.
They make a very synergistic trio.
To that I've added Between the Worlds.
    Haven't yet found the
fully resonating Lenormand. But I'm still
    looking. 😁

This was great fun, I might to the tag myself, I'm new to youtube and there are so many fun older tags I'd like to try.
Llewellyn was my first deck as well, and that one is my soul deck (yes I believe in soul connections and soul decks, but I don't think you have to have one). Interestingly, Shadowscapes was the second one I got as well when I started branching out from that first deck :) I will say though, when I eventually got and used Tarot of the Hidden Realms, that one has become a soul deck for me as well.
I agree, the Fountain tarot is a great allround neutral deck, and I know people find it a bit cold because of the colors and the geometric shapes and things like that, but I think it has a very powerful, creative yet flowy energy to it.
Great video, thanks for sharing :D

The Margaret Petersen is definitely on my wishlist, even if I can't get the one with the fully colored backs. It is an amazing looking deck!

Dust II Onyx feels like the mystic deck to me. And obviously I had a creepy childhood because I associate inner child with Nicoletta Ceccolli. Thanks for sharing these!

We both have the same first tarot deck! I really love the Llewellyn tarot a lot... I kinda ruined it when I trimmed it down though LOL so i want to buy another deck and actually trim them evenly and not rushed. It's an amazing deck for sure

Hi Kelly, may I request a walkthrough/in-depth video of the Vision Quest Tarot? Would love to hear your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with it. 🙏🏼

I understand the issues of the Vision Quest, I have it for a lot of years , I like the Thoth vibes and the AGM cardstok. I love it even when is some kind of cultural appropiation. But I love the artwork and the images to me are very healing. And I like the LWB.
I love the John Bauer too. I also have the Edmund Dulac. Is do bad they don't have a good explanation of what stories is illustrated, sin e is very difficult to me to know what is about. But since I love their art I enjoy it anyways

What would you say is problematic about the Vision Quest Tarot? I'm really curious because I simply don't know enough about its culture of origin, but as a deck I absolutely adore it. The artwork is really gentle and emotional and the guidebook is truly excellent, which is so rare, considering that it's a little white book.

    • @TheTruthinStory

It could be seen as problematic because it is a Native American deck that was not created by a Native American, it can also be seen as a deck that makes NA a homogenous "one thing" when they are very much separate tribes with their own lore and ideologies. I think you could also make a case that it is problematic in that it paints a very idealized version of indigenous culture even though obviously they were and are full of highs and lows as any groups of people. Though you can also make a case that most tarot decks imagery is predominately idealized. I don't think any of these things are surprising given when the deck was put out, but my experience with this deck as a broad stroke has been very healing, gentle, but also very clear.

Have you seen the River and Stone Playing Cards on Kickstarter? They made me think about you. The courts maid/mother/crone and the number cards are full nature scenes.
