Matt - I’m an older gal- had art in my heart since in my twenties, or maybe from teen years. Got waylaid all these years and now after a major life shift I’m doing something every day. Painting, drawing, practicing and hoping GOD will have mercy on me to anoint and activate my excellence getting up to speed. It was always as you said in this podcast~ an insecurity~ am I good enough~ and now I’ve laid it all down for HIM. He freed me from people- pleasing. Your vulnerability is a fresh breeze. A cool drink of water on a hot day. I’m laying down this age thing too. God bless you for your amazing ministry and encouragement.

Yep I literally feel I have to provide for my family because we've always been poor. My parents lost everything to follow Jesus.
In saying that, my parents are elderly and my brother is being slowly transitioned into a home for disabled adults that can't look after themselves.
Thank you for sharing sister! What an example to choose Jesus and to let Him have first place in our hearts. Just like Mary broke the alabaster and gave to Jesus all she had..God is a jealous God and wants us all to Himself..Sometimes He will ask us to choose if we want Him and to be with Him or something else in the world that we desire to have .. May we like you surrender all to Him and may He open our ears to listen and guide us through our lives..
2 Corinthians 11:3
But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent.
May we all watch and pray and be focused not to seek the opinion of men but to win the race first place He set before us :)
I will get personal here my friend, the battle is in the mind. I was recently diagnosed with bi-polar and I know this struggle may be common with our Artist friends. I also learned this symptom is common wigh high intelligence. Living as a Christian, creating for His kingdom was what I did well, giving Him all glory. I was surprised to this new diagnosis and I know the devil is a lier. I will continue being me, high energy, highly creative, emphatic, encouraging, seeking truth, goodness and beauty. Thank you for all you do.

I thank God for leading me to this video. It has been what feels like a lifelong struggle with thoughts of insecurity, wrong source of identity and perfectionism and I know a mindset shift is needed. I loved hearing mind renewal practically walked out. I felt like that's what i needed to get the ball rolling. Im asking the Holy Spirit to circumspect my thoughts and so I can begin to tear down ungodly thoughts and renewing my mind. Side note: So cool to hear you moved to Texas. I also moved to Texas but it has been 14 years ago, so not recent but I know you were called here on purpose. Hope to meet you one day!

It really was the timing of God for me to listen to that video today. It helps me with all of my mental blocage that I allowed the enemy to put in my mind. I had a time with God today saying the pain that I felt about it, so I recognized it but as a message from the enemy but as my identity. ANd tonight, this message showed me and He finally said to me, His truth. I am right where He wants me and I am so grateful. Thank you Matt, I am happy to say that I am a part of this army of artist for God. God bless you and your family.

Where does God's word say he's raising up artists?
I've just lost hope.. over and over again. I want to keep things Biblical and the more I understand God's word in context the more I realise I'm not good enough for this.
