- What is prophetic art? Does it matter? In this video I explain my own (limited) understanding of what it is and why it matters.
Also just to note, that I'm very much still growing in the avenue with God and learning lots. But what I have I'm happy to share , hence the video.

Oh my, this hit me so hard. God has been speaking to me about this very thing. I am a beginner watercolorist but I LONG to paint to show people around me more of God.

I would love to share a piece with you. The last time I took an art class was in elementary school over thirty years ago. Well in 2019……the Lord begin pouring out his love to me in an overwhelming way through dreams and vision poetry and art. My own husband and children were shocked at the drawings and paintings because this it happened suddenly with no training or classes and it is as you said……the expression of the heart of God!

Like you, I had asked the Lord for physical confirmation and a short time later I watched your JOY painting video followed by this one. It doesn't get much clearer than this in my mind that yes, He certainly does want me painting for Him again.

Thanks so much ,it helped me really...eversins i was a child i use too admire my cuzins drawings...i wished i could draw like him......one-day i started watching a tutorial of pencil drawings, i draw after the tutorial. And it looked good...oneday my sister said i must put whorship on and just let the holy spirit guide me...but i will do it...😊so glad this video pop up now... because i was just busy with other stuff

Thank you for calming me Ave explaining what this art is about. 'm a very inexperienced artist although I've created some good pieces with help of GOD but I have an idea to include a group of women to that I've been invited to do a prophetic Painting for a women's group, I'm going to include them.

Well said. Love your testimony of the picture at the conference where God confirmed what he told you a few days before about the Aloe. When you give out prophetic art so much it’s kind of nice that He spoke to you in the same “language” Blessings from New Zealand 🙂

Ehm...so I am a creative person but I always was a bit sceptical of prophetic painting.
Also..I can not really paint like I want to paint. Has always been my pain in life. I could do simple flowers and such but anything other than that often quickly became like a childs painting. So I also thought: I could never do prophetic painting, although a piece of my heart verrrryyy deep inside wanted to. So deep that I really did not acknowledge it or gave it too much thought.
I have been seeking God more and more over the last few weeks. And today I was cutting up boxes to throw them away. I saved some good parts to use as a canvas. Because I saw someone paint a really cool bird on a piece of cardboard the other day.
I thought I could give it a try. Maybe make something more simple. I like the cardboard look and I do not have money for canvasses lol, so this was my poor (wo)man's solution.
One of the boxes was really large. I got 2 nice pieces out of it.
So I was looking at on of the pieces and an idea came into my head. I have been thinking about the millenial reign and New Jerusalem lately. Can't wait to go there.
So I was like: okay let me draw that. Pretty huge project - the cardboard is over a meter wide - for someone who can not really paint.
Then I began to draw on it first. And it just came together. I drew really roughly, just as I went. I do not really have a clear picture of what the millenial reign will be of course. But my hands just made things that fitted together. Not sure how to describe it.
And then I thought, okay, let me begin to paint. Because I was expecting it to be very childish. But it actually is becoming really pretty!
And I was like: what? This is not how I remember painting. I am doing it, but at the same time this is not me. I normally can not do this like this. What happened?
So slowly I began to think...wait minute...is this prophetic painting?
And that is how I began to search the term on yt and ended up here.
Never experienced something like this. I am really wondering what the end result is going to be. If I still feel that amazed and when I remember I will come back to leave my IG or something.

@@daughterofzioninspired I'll be honest, it's definitely something I've battled as well. Are you allowed to make an income from something and still honor God? I think it depends. For instance, I've often had moments where I've felt the Holy Spirit prompt me to create something for an event or for a specific person. Whenever that has happened, particularly for a specific person, it wouldn't be right of me to make something for them, and then have them pay to receive it. Usually God will lay it on my heart to give it away and as such, that's what I do.
I do think there is a place for the prophetic artist in the marketplace too though. God's heart is always for His children to prosper, and if He's given us a gift/heart desire, then we ought to pursue it wholeheartedly. To receive money in exchange for prophetic words or manipulate people with money is a big big no for me. But to exchange money for an artwork that someone really wants? I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
The most important thing I reckon is to always check in with the Word and check in with God. I see it like this, if I can excel in the marketplace and gain an income from the art that I create (however God leads of course), the more time and capacity I will have to partner with Him even more and do even more.

Hello, thankyou for sharing. I would love to be able to do this kind of thing. I don't feel confident with regards to drawing or painting but I do often get pictures in my mind. As you were talking I felt myself putting my hands up to sunlight as it was shining through some trees. I don't think I could draw this but I don't know what to do with it. However, I do enjoy taking photographs.
Hi April, thank you so much for your feedback. Drawing and painting isn't the only form of creative expression. We think "art" and those are the immediate things we think right? I love photography as well and take photos often. It's still art, it's still expressing something beautiful. So go on, pick that camera up and take a walk with the Lord and see what He will show you. You could take a photo that sooo resonates with someone they may be impacted forever! Use the passion God has given you :) You got this!

Truth is found in God's word, and God's word is ONLY found in the Bible.
Show me in the Bible the scripture's where it say's this is Biblical.
