As much as Arsenal are beaming with youth and flair across the pitch, the need for experience and mettle still lingering and I believe signing a proven combative midfielder as Merino will be huge in our bid to be Premier League champions next season. ❤️🔥✨️
Question is..why Arsenal always buy Defender or mid field...but they big problem is in front line...they suffer so many lose because they didnt have a killer machine in front like halland...or someone else.

@@azharibaihaqi1340 we did need need to strengthen at LB and Midfield and forward too but I think he will go for a winger after Merino. Maybe the striker will be next year. but would be surprised if he did get a gyokeres and put Jesus for Saka rotation.
@@azharibaihaqi1340You're right. Our forward players and strikers underperformed. Martinelli, Jesus, Nketiah, Nelson, Smith Rowe.... If they did well, we would have been champions. But I think Merino and Calafiori will be good signing and expect Jesus and Martinelli to live up to expectation. But I wanted Jesus sold and Osimhen-like striker bought.

Ok this guy is really good. He'll fit perfectly in the xhaka role and will revitalize the left side that didnt really perform to potential last year. Martinelli gonna be a menace with these long passes, and he'll help Rice a lot defensively. Not to mention the corners. Yep sign him asap

People wants Fabian Ruiz because he's first choice Euro Spain Team but Merino is far better suit Arsenal and Premier League. Much more Physical and overal play. He's so important for his club unlike Ruiz who is not a favourite in Paris. Both Ruiz and Merino will improve Arsenal but Merino is better suit the Premier League in my opinion. I'm still sceptical Arsenal are looking at the potential signing of merino because i would have preferred a short diminutive midfielder who is press resistant, can keep possession as well build or start attacks but most importantly someone abit more agile and technically gifted like a joao Neves. but i must say merino is slowly starting to impress me. he looks a real duel monster with a lot of technical security on the ball while being able to do the simple things really well. if people want to know more of what he would be like in the prem I would suggest looking at some of his Newcastle comps too.

@@David-ws6do Fabio Vieira does fit the description yes but Arteta plays him mostly on the right hand side out wide and I don't think Vieira has adapted really well to the demands of that position. if were being honest with Vieira despite the potential he has, he's out of favour in that left 8/10 role because he lacks the authority, temperament and decisiveness needed to play in the central areas. Yes you could point to his 1 or 2 performances last season like the one against Fulham at the emirates where he completely changed the game but he needs to do it on a consistent basis, plus Arteta will not play players he 100% does not trust most of the time unless he really has too.
not saying I don't like Fabio Vieira, I do but if you have to shoehorn him into the team and play him out of position to give others a rest then in my opinion their really isn't strength in depth in areas you expect players like him to make an impact.

Let's start with the arrival of Harvertz to Arsenal, who doesn't know that Harvertz was brought to play in the midfield for Arsenal? He was seen as a replacement for Xhaka, but how Arteta pushed him to false 9 was a gamble after Harvertz failed to deliver from the midfield.
But his contribution as a false 9 of course was recognizable, though not enough in creativity and one-on-one takes.
Secondly, who has noticed a drop in Martinellis performance since exit of Xhaka? This was due to lack of those long through passes that Xhaka used to throw for Martinelli.
Thirdly, if arsenal can bring Merino, im sure Martinelli will flourish again due to the Merino's long through passes deadly turns.
With all that including the sorted problem at left back due to arrival of Calafiori, arsenal now needs a clinical striker, that can take one-on-one, utilize passes and crosses from Saka, Odegard, Martinelli.
A natural no. 9, with pace and physique, in the caliber of Watkins, Gyokeres etc.
If Arteta can stop trusting in Harvertz to lead the line, arsenal will now or soon get a hand on epl trophy, otherwise Harvertz will still not help like halland of City can help his team in some tight games.
There was no need to drag Havertz like that. He ended this season in blistering form and if we lose the title it won't be because of him.
This team looks ready to win it all if we add Merino.

Arsenal scored goals numerous goals but not in important matches. Scoring 6 goals pass Luton but failing to score 1 against Aston Villa, Fulham, Bayern is what we are talking about. And where you need a better striker than your Harvertz, you need someone who can break opposition defense and hearts like Watkins did to you last season.
Remember my word, unless arsenal acquire a clinical striker, don't dream of a major trophy.
