This is all too common with people getting in a fast car (especially if not used to RWD) for the first time and don't know what they are doing. Punch it, break loose, over correct, and end up hitting a curb or car or worse ending up on the roof in a ditch or wrapped around a tree....

@@paypalservices2724 I used to be an insurance adjuster .. no way we are authorizing a frame repair on a brand new car where it is involving a suspension component. Not on these high end cars. Coupled with prices for parts that are damaged, it's not worth it to the insurance company from a liability standpoint. God forbid something happens later on, they'd be screwed.
@@denyle Most insurance companies will go up to 75-80% of the value of the car before they total it, there is no frame on this car its a aluminum unibody. In no way would it be a cheap repair, but this car could be repaired to factory spec.

It's honestly not worth the potential of a faulty repair leading to another accident, and with the potential for a supplement, I don't think most adjusters would want to take the chance. Could this be repaired? 100%. Even a unibody can have "frame" damage. I'm talking anything structural, like a frame rail, strut tower, apron assembly, etc. When suspension stuff gets damaged it's costly too. I can only imagine what these parts are going to cost brand new, if they're even available. We aren't talking about a 2007 Civic, they'll probably deem this a constructive total loss. Sad
I recently got my car stolen but was recover by the DPD. The car had no exterior damage whatsoever but everything in the trunk was gone.
Spare tire, car jack, trunk carpet, etc and both exhaust tips where dinged. And the insurance totaled. I mean the car was far from expensive but I was surprised to find out that the cost to fix it was more than the 11k value of the car.
Again, no exterior damage. No bronken windows, no stereo stolen or ripped seats. Nothing and still totaled.
When he brings up the speed of the crash without you guys even asking him, you know he had to have been going double what he said 😂😂

Seemed pretty clear to me that he said (in a roundabout way) that he either hit the rock and then the curb, or that he was trying to dodge the rock and hit the curb. It gets a little lost because the Royalty guy cuts him off and says "brush on the side of the road" when the dude is trying to think of the word curb or median. He then describes the median curb by pointing out a curb they are talking by (I'm guessing on that last part as it was off camera).

The higher options just means it's more 'special', and insurance will likely pay it's value or more. It's a way to prevent low-ball insurance claims. It's legally scamming insurance.

@@db2d557 I assume the person is suggesting. Rental car company doesn't alert insurance of the damage, but rather pays a shop out of pocket to repair the car. Then the rental car place can keep the car, rent it out for a few years, then sell it with a "clean title" at a later date to recoup costs.

Well for car people, it’s a dream to drive these kind of cars. I just had the 570s Spider before the renter after me crashed it. It’s an experience... and it’s one that they are able to provide people. Their showroom is so incredibly busy.... so they are making a lot of $$$. It’s a business 🤷♂️
You guys should install dash cams that run 24 hours so you get videos of all these accidents

Insurance rates go up and the insurance company that your policy is with will likely drop you.
The insurance company is still going to make money back on it the whole car except for a couple of things a be striped and sold.

That car can be fixed easily I own a body shop I've fixed car's Lamborghini Ferrari porsche Mercedes Bentley rolls Royce BMW in worst condition than that that frame work is easy I should know costly but way less than the car is worth it wouldn't even be a salvaged title

When I see a video like this, it makes me think that some people who rent these powerful exotic cars are very unfamiliar with these cars and just how powerful they are. As a result these people are not cautious with these cars and take an unnecessary risk and get into an accident.

The law should require the driver to bear SOME liability for a rental where it was their own IDIOCY that caused the accident. The idea that they can just walk away from it without bearing any responsibility for the damage is just OFFENSIVE.

the claims go on the insurance of the clients not the business. Just FYI. Also business insurance don't kick in unless like one of the employees damage the car or the clients insurance don't cover (only should theoretically happen if one of the employees let the car out w/o proper paperwork) and even in the case of damage not covered by other insurance a lot of the bigger companies just eat the loss cause it would hurt less then if they get dropped and then can't be in business.

yeh why drive into the curb though, still better to hit the rock than a concrete curb and risk losing control, and if its a massive rock, there would be a ton of damage to the front bumper which there isnt just the lip, and the lip damage wis what you expect when you ride up on a curb so...his story really dosnt add up..

Cameras are illegal without consent. It's invasion of privacy. If the renter doesn't consent to having a camera in the car then they would have to pull the camera out. Most renters won't consent to a camera in the car

How can the frame crack on a $400k car and not on my hellcat when I hit an exact same curb going 60+mph
Well for one, the geometry of the compared cars are not the same in any way. I’d bet he was probably double that at impact, there’s barely a square edge on that curb so that impact had to be harrrrd to force that shock to hyper extend and transfer that inertia through the mounts
@@aliudlatero1296 true that about the geometry plus f8 is way lower but I expected the frame to withstand that small curb. He definitely wasn’t going 30mph but above 70-80 I bet he would’ve done more damage to the car as he would’ve definitely spun out of control.
You have to be used to high speed to drive fast. People see me do 120 mph in my F150 and they think it’s a big deal. The Nissan Quest used to do 126 mph.

Ajoj. Probably at the moment of the collision of the wheel with the curb, the driver did not release the brake pedal. The wheel could not roll over and the kinetic force tore off the shock absorber mount. Too bad because it looked like the front and rear wheels would be replaced and it would be ok, but it wouldn't.

The level of arrogance it takes the Royalty staff to believe they are always right is astonishing. It's just as possible to have hit a rock which unsettled the car then hit the kerb. Such a toxic team of bigots lead by the worst culprit. Accidents do happen so why not lease a car from a company who won't belittle you and call you a liar whatever the outcome. I'm sure the insurance for the fleet costs a lot but manners and respect don't.

The scrape was right on a divider a couple of feet from a corner. the car was parked a couple hindered feet from the corner. The guy tried drifting into the corner but couldn’t.
