For example, you could see, that you wouldnt make 15k RP with the Leo 2in good Battle but more like 1.5k.
I spent 140 hours in war thunder, and it's true that you get stuck in rank 3 usa because you become either too broke or too bored... but I'm going free to play!
USA tree gets way more fun with the M24 Chaffee and M18 tho. Because they're so fast! But you also get planes faster too

I'm an air player and was f2p until rank 3 us too, but then I started playing with some new friends a lot more and figured premium would be worth it given how much I have been playing, have stuck firm to no premium vehicles, just need to actually be able to make money

also other stuff such as planes like A1H and the BI, also other tanks like the obj 279 and amx 50 surblinde (also the roman helmet at almost 900 usd ;) )
E-100 aint worth it nowadays, if you want to earn silver and research as a new player dont buy any tanks or planes. Just play the game and actually learn to play, and buy premium acc.

@@r.ndomperson yeah exactly, there are alot of premiums that cost at most 70 euro that are way more bang for your buck. But if the E-100 cost the same as the normal premiums it would be worth it.
@@ormbaggen naval has cheap perms with a stupid amount of silver bonus as a player that plays naval and ground mostly when ever I’m low on silver I play naval to make easily and also naval is calm around rank 3 and below and I know we’ll because I’ve researched all three main naval countries which is USA,Germany,and ussr.
Something that's often overlooked regarding RP/SL rewards is time spent in the battle. If you spend 5 minutes in a battle, regardless of your performance, you'll earn less RP/SL than if you spent 20 minutes in a battle. Might balance out in the long run, but that's how it goes on a per-game basis
The idea behind the economy basically is that RP mainly comes from time spent doing stuff and SL is mainly gained from the stuff you did.
In short: RP is time and SL is skill.

Basically a brocken radio does nothing it would be cool if they made it stop your ability to call in artillery but gaijin is busy eating their pickled cheeseburgers.

@shiweicai4872 they made it so the bow gunners do as much of a difference as a broken radio and they can only call in artillery.btw if you are new I would suggest upgrading the radio operator AKA bow gunner so that your artillery strikes are faster and more accurate.

Why are so many level 50- 100s players playing rank 1? Are they this just that bad? I started playing this game free to play. I can tell you now that the people playing at Rank 1 are NOT new to the game. I will say that again. These players are NOT new to the game. I am a level 9 playing against level 100 players almost every battle. There are very few players at rank 1 that are even close to my level. Most are at least 15 to 20 levels above me if not much higher than that.
Many reasons tbh. Either they're grinding out a new nation tree because they mained 1 or 2 to begin with, or it's just for fun. I'm in that 2nd group at least half the time. Top tier is its own thing, so I'm usually between ranks II and IV nowadays.

-early levels are very fast to get. Other players at rank 1/2 being around 25-30 is decently normal. Especially if their main focus is testing out different nations and modes
-some higher levels prefer the lower tiers (either cause no interest in modern vehicles or sealclubbing)
-you need to start from eank 1 if you grind a new nation, unless you buy a high tier premium
@paulking7019 when you get higher tiers, you'll realise that those lower br's are the most fun, it's genuinely enjoyable sometimes to just relax and have fun playing at a lower br

Russia is very pay to win in high tier. So many busted tanks that can't be matched in the tree

2S38, T72 turms, T80UD, BMP2M (yes, its squad tank but you can just buy it for GE.)
you can even go as far as the 10.3 premiums, such as the T72M2 Moderna (being around 340 dollars in marketplace) and the T80UM2. (Roughly 70)
so, you could have 6 tanks for a 10.3 premium lineup.
I grinded 80% of the Chinese tree using just the Ztz59a. Totally worth it
What I Have learned about grinding with Top Tier Premiums, the Factor "Time Played" is the Thing that gives the Most XP out of everything... Kills etc are a nice Bonus but the Time you live is deciding over your Grind
Says a lot about how shit Gaijin is at balancing the game when sitting in the corner is more profitable than actually playing the game.
@@joaogomes9405 thats actually incorect. Activity * time gives RP. Meaning, yes, time gives rp but only if you do actions that give score in that timeframe. So even tho the actuall actions dong give much, the activity that come from them does. I play since 2013 and i was always skeptical for the reason why rewards have to be so complex

I used to play WT years ago - eating pickled cheeseburgers o.c. - mostly grinding airplanes - I really wanted that Horton - only to find out that playing it sucks cause it always got tiered against 50's jets. but it was more or less the same thing - do objectives, contribute to the win, survive, and make kills of opportunities always was the fastest way to grind.

i played about 400 hours free to play and then 1000 as a pay to win type thing and still dont have top tier but also i have rank 4 in 2 nations both in air and ground so russia and america with no premium and no vehicles and im in rank 7 german air and ground with premium vehicles also every nation i have rank 2 in for both air and ground and im still level 68 also i have all german ww2 tech tree vehicles and a premium jet the tornado

@@KyH-o7q2200 hours, about 2 or 300 ftp 90% ftp in my time in ground beside prem account, have both f-15s the abrams 105 and 120S, kingtigers and researching ho 229, and am researching the t-72a while too poor to buy the 2 ranks 7s I have researched to get rank 8 ussr air, and then In Britain I'm rank 6 ground and 5 air.

Heat from a tank will heat up a camo net. If you are talking realism the reason the camo net works is becasue a tank will find a place to hunker down, shut the engine off and wait. Rolling around in a active battlefield will negate any heatsink a camo net provides.
Look up the Saab Barracuda camouflage system for the Leopard 2. While you are right that traditional camo nets will absorb and radiate heat, the barracuda system that the 2A4M and other Leopard upgrade packages have are intended to mask all kinds of signatures including thermal.
Tip for new players: play one game each of the PVE mode for gb and ab, depending how far you get into the battle you can get two 10%-200% boosters on top of the login bonus so you can get up to 3 boosters per day

PvE is kind of okish, when you get over that the enemies have kind of laser guns and hit you as soon as you are in line of side. no matter the distance.

The term "P2W" is used very loosely nowadays. Paying for premium account isn't P2W. It just speeds up the progress even if you're playing only with regular vehicles. Pay to win is buying specific vehicles that give you advatages over regular ones and actually help you WIN, and there is some in WT.
Crew upgrades are pay to win too

The thing with those German low tier 20 mills are that it is absolutely necessary to aim properly. If you know where to shoot, and you can single tap, you can kill a tank with 2 to 3 rounds. This makes them devastating as you can take out several ranks with no reload.
14:30 you are looking at the research incorrectly, that amount counts both research of vehicle and mark of distinction. For the Leo 2A4M you only had mark if distinction there since only 390 RP went towards the vehicle.

As someone who only played French tech tree in war thunder, they don't just struggle on low tier. The only times they don't struggle is when they get the Sherman's, the rest of the way it's nothing but struggle.
My partner has always been free to play and has 0 premium tanks. She’s currently at 8.0 in the German tech tree and all of her tanks are spaded.

They are intentionally throttling max rp you can get, as long as you get like 1 to 2 kills you will get close to 6k to 7k, even if you get like 12 kill, dropped the nuke, at most you can get is around 9 to 10k rp

Sometimes yes sometimes no, I recently had a match with 11 kills one cap and on assist and made almost 30k ex.
i grinded all the way to top tier Germany with the leopard pzbtl but i also got it when i was in rank for research and also the total cost of all German premium non-market place vehicles is $1 313.17

I effectively bought my way to the Pershing, M-109, King tiger, and bought basicly every US top tier premium, the Tiger SLA, Leopard PZBTL, Leopard 2PL, and the Tornado IDS. This all happened within a month, but at least it was when I had my skill boost.
My first top tier match was in my first top tier premium: the Leopad 2 PZBTL. It was on that one map with the broken castle and the B point I. The wide open so no one goes for it. I went to the C point to help out my team and while I was capturing it, my tracks were broken, I popped smoke, several ATGMs hit me, breaking everything except for my turret traverse and my crew were fine. My blowout panels saved me and I even killed an ATGM vehicle after the smoke died down. Then I died to a T-80BVM that got a shot to the side of my turret.

I've had a great time grinding out Germany through rank 4 using th KW-1C. Add the Puma, Wirbel, and VK to the lineup as you unlock them and it's a great time.
war thunder has this thing where if you're playing a much higher tier and researching a much lower, i think at 4 tier difference you get -90% RP for those vehicles
If you want to grind the german tree as a newbie i suggest immediately going for both tiger and panther bc they both are op
Been free to play since the market appeared. Have infinite premium account, buying all the bundles and premium vehicles whenever i want. Sure the event vehicles are bit annoying to get, but its worth it.
I think talisman is a good invest especially for tanks you like. I bought some for the Japanese TT and it saved me a really good amount of time.

For the first 1000hrs I put into war thunder I didn’t spend a dime on the game. Then I finally bought premium and it was so nice to have that progress boost. I had 1000hrs playing mostly America and still only being at around 6.7.

About recoil, you need to try flying jp heavy fighter planes, esp one with i think 57mm cannon. It literally almost stops when shooting

you dont need to stay in the capzone to decap. Its allways a good thing to make yourself a line up, pairing a couple of tanks from the same BR together and you said you can not do anything against drones from the ground. Well there is a tree in every nation as far as i remember called SPAA(Self Propelled Anti Air)😁
also, if the goal of the video is to be a pay to win player, you should need to make the most busted lineup you can make with money, a good one would be either the KV-1B or KV-1E (KV-1E is a old event tank, thus being unobtainable)
The best idea would be buy a tier 4-5 premium lineup with 3 tanks and one plane at least. For example the german m47, ru251 and premium tiger 2h as a backup (only 6.7) and a do335. Or russian t44-122 t34-100, su122p and yak3 vk107 or m46 tiger, t29, m26t99 and a2d
It could go from M2 medium, the tank with more than seven 30-caliber machine guns and the M2A2 with two machine gun turrets, one with 50-caliber and the other with a 30-caliber machine gun. I like these tanks from the interwar period, they are strange and curious and draw a lot of attention.
There are a few areas where you can get like 3-4 vehicles in a very close br range that you can grind some lions with.
I know what u mean by bad internet, my internet is about as good as a pickled cheeseburger here in Upside-Down Land.
You should also make a note you loose half of the rp to the marks or distinction until you finish it then the research gets better if you were a new player
really great video, something you should try in the future is using the 15cmSLG (first German¨tank destroyer¨) in BR 5.0-5.7, i personallly have killed many heavy tanks one shot
For this progress it took me around 100h to get there with no premium but finishing all tanks. I mostly have new tanks researched before I finished the old ones. I also keep buying the first training with SL. But SL seems to be an issue sooner or later.
It is pretty hard to learn the maps since they change so often and it is hard to get to now them when every shoot can kill you.
You got about as much in 24 hours as I've gotten in 1.5 years. Wow.

I personally think that the very first German tank that you were using was supposed to be a scout as it looks like it has a familiar turret and it's built for speed no armor so I think it was an early scout car type vehicle so yeah I think we might have been really early and just the beginning of the war not a lot of fancy tanks were made so there's no need for the crazy armor or crazy guns so yeah

When your radio is broken it takes longer to call artillery on said enemies (or very annoying teammates)
Meanwhile me at 6.7 after putting 1,151.5 hours and still have not spent a dime no premium of anything and no packs

Because if you research rank 1 vith rank 5 or up you get only 5% of rp into your vehicle that you got in the match

Reason you got 7k in that lower game when comparing is because majority of that xp when to your air tree not the ground tree where in the top tier you got 8k to just the ground tree

The Turm is also a good option. Good gun, good mobility. It's a higher BR (8.3) so you might have the odd heli and ATGM to deal with. But, no drones. So that's not so bad.

buying "Vehicles" in a Free to play is like buying "trains" in a Train sim...
With that ZTZ-99 you shot the add on armour block that sits on the front if the turret so you didn’t actually hit the turret.
Try Enlisted and not farm like that- buy last rank vehicle and you will up like a dream. I do that with plane and play only simulator.

So, funny thing, critical hits count to making money, sustained critical hits gives awards and xp, and more money, the more rounds you need to penetrate the enemy with, and actually do, before killing them, the more you get rewarded. So doing the leopard thing for killibg an enemy in 1 or 2 hits, is not economical, plus you cant make money for surviving hits because top tier you simply will not.
Yeah top tier is terrible because CAS, helis, and drones are so overpowered, because they don't have any natural enemies like they do irl (e.g. anti-air missiles like Patriot system, FPV drones, dedicated AA that don't just "spawn" in an obvious locale, and thus its like you have free tank kills if you spawn in one.

Regarding the target choice near the end, I usually pick the target that's the highest danger. If no direct danger is present, I pick the one I have the shortest window to destroy. Some premiums pose a high threat of course, but most often I find tech tree tanks in good positions to be a higher risk and prioritize them. Also: pickled cheeseburger ;)

A HE can bounce if the detonator doesnt hit the target but the side of the shell does
so its not that top tier premiums make as much as low tier premiums, its just that when you have 1 vehicle the battle is very likely to end early for you and you get the most rp for staying in the battle longer so if you get the aame ammount of kills and your in the battle for the same ammount of time top tier premium will just make more
I personally would have chosen the leopard 2a4 panzerbatallion or the Turm III, cuz it is hella op
In the real gun Handling manual for the german 20mm it is recommended to fire not automatic but only one shot (Einzelschuss).
Because auto is not accurate enough.
As a guy who has top tier for 6 ground nations and 4 air nations with 1700 hrs, I'd say the point you've raised at the end is more depending on which nation and server you usually play in bc as some people didn't notice, servers do differ a lot, and in different time zones as well. As for top-tier premiums, the reason to prioritize them as targets is sorta mixed. They are not as good as tech tree ones, for example click-bait is as blind as it is, especially when comparing to SEP/V2, AIM etc. A4M is the most squishy Leo with wedge armor, etc. That's why T80UE1 is not as targeted since it looks like other T80Us, is hard to kill, and has good thermals. And aimbot/see-through cheaters love to get CV90105 and Pzbtl123, especially several versions ago, another reason to pay special attention to premiums.
But if you are really giving advice to new players, I mean, just let them play for free first to see if they like the game or not in the first place, cuz I know many people disdain this type of hardcore damage mechanism, especially as they are bugged sometimes just like you mentioned. If they do like this game after serveral hours of playing, it still depends on whether they like top tier or not, if they like the 1940s br only then there's no need to spend anything on grinding.
Let's say they did decide to play modern stuff with maximized grinding and huge wallets, then for example, if you want to grind for Germany, you can get both A4M and Pzbtl123 and the premium Mi24P, for game experience and also get Leo2PL as well since gen 3 thermal is very rare for the german top tier. This is precisely the same reason for the US. I recommend getting AIM alongside Click-bait, and get the desert skin for the AIM as well, and getting the F4S. It's the easiest for USSR since you can straight up buy T80UE1, 2S38, BMP2M, T80UK, Ka50, Su25/S39, at this point you are already experiencing some of the best modern vehicles out there before you even grind.
That's what I have to say to a real wallet warrior with several hundred to spare. I mean, if you spent a week's salary as sinking funds on initiating the grind for a tech tree in this game, I respect that. And then you find out your playstyle, and experience each nation's player's playstyle at each BR, etc., and in different servers, I cannot really recommend any specifically since those are more personal preferences that everyone has to figure out for themselves. Maybe you don't like how French tanks look, but you like their rank 8 teammates for their sniping playstyle. Who knows? This is just an example, or if you want reliable machines and big, reliable teams at most BRs, then go to the USSR. Take myself as an example, I play 7.0 US in NA server, and 11.7 USSR in EU server, and 11.7 Germany in NA server, and I find Strv122s being prioritized in NA server since there aren't too many of Swed players in NA server, that's my observation.

spending the conversion is better if youre doing your second tree over buying premiums you might not enjoy playing....situation depending ofc. id rather spend $114 on ge and unlock all the way from reserve to rank 6 and get everything over buying 1-2 premium packs/tanks
