Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.

I’m honestly still shocked Meredith made the team last year.
Honestly same. She can’t dance DCC style well and has a boxy figure that doesn’t look good in uniform. Beautiful face tho (which is probably a huge reason she made the team in the first place)
She is proof that it takes more to make DCC than having a beautiful face and being a trained dancer. She just doesn’t have it. They’ve cut far better dancers. I don’t know why they are so taken with her.

I personally love Meredith and think she deserves her spot because she looks great in the game and yes she is beautiful but she is also talented and is working on learning quicker. I believe she should make the team once again.
Girl who isn't? She is a beautiful ballerina, but I don't think she has what it takes to be a DCC.. she shouldn't have made the team in the first place.
Meredith is a beautiful girl but I'm sorry she looks just as sloppy as she did last year. Now all of sudden Kelli and Judy are questioning if she should be on the team... There's even a video of her dancing during an event show and messes up.

@@XXgenderloveXY We don't hate Meredith, we hate the clear favoritism that she gets comparative to the other girls trying out for the team. It just seems like Kelly and Judy are backpedaling on their decision after videos of DCC mistakes and mess ups are occurring because of DCC's high standards of dance. I don't understand why you would also feel the need to call us jealous because we are supportive of those who are deserving of a spot. Meredith is a fantastic dancer. She has great facial expressions and is actually fun and entertaining to watch WHEN she knows the choreography.
Everyone messes up sometimes
I think it's more that they wanted to give her a chance last year. She's a beautiful girl and is a talented trained dancer. Some times people just need more time to adapt to the style but have the talent to do that. Now, it's been a year and there's not a vast improvement (not enough to keep up with the team) it makes sense that opinions are changing because if after a year you’re still making the same mistakes....its not working.

@@nighthawk326 Yup. They accepted several dancers last year who are just being out danced by these rookies. So some vets have to go.
Some of the vets barely made the team last season. All the flaws are starting to come out compared to these highly talented Rookies this season . I feel for the vets like Meredith..but they’re getting a real dose of reality that if they have average talent, there is always someone much better in the wings
I feel sad for lily, I love seeing her in veteran blue and she wanted that more than anyone else there :(

Yes! And the people who blindly believe an over-produced and overly edited reality TV show-spun narrative are coming out already! I said what I said. Hannah is an amazing dancer and it's truly their loss.
Right. She got cut for complaining, not dance. The DCC is as deep as raindrops.
that is messed up what they said about Hannah. Didn't know paleness became a criteria to cut someone. Also, Hannah posted on her ig that she was vocal about the fact that the "bubble" that the DCC cheerleaders were in was not safe and didn't follow enough health protocol. I think they cut her and tried to edit to make the organization look good. It's a shame. She's always been one of the most beautiful and talented dancers. Hannah also warned that they might try edit to make it look like they had legitimate reasons for cutting her - they don't.
It seems like they're trying so hard to force reasons for Hannah to be cut even though she's perfectly fine as a dancer and the real reason she got cut was because of her voicing her concerns and questioning the organisation. However, I doubt that we're going to see that on the show so that's probably why she's being mentioned now.
right... because there's NO WAY that HANNAH could have said that because she was bitter and looking for justification? everyone just decides it's true. 2 sides to every story.
@@BIGBOYMATD dude multiple people have confirmed that the camera crew was not quarantining with them, and that exact crew had been on the bus to the stadium with them. I honestly think it would be really out of character for her to be super salty about it if there was a legit reason.
Also I thought that Hannah was a nurse, or going to nursing school?

The comments about the vets seem very forced for TV to justify them for cutting Hannah.
Everyone wants more vet talks and now they y'all get and it is still not good. They talked about every girl so also vets lol

I think this season is very different and this show is only showing what they want to make it seem that Hannah is doing badly, they only show 1 second of a vet and then wants to say they're bad. I know they're not going to show the whole practice but usually they show a lot of the dances and I think they're not showing it on purpose because it will show that Hannah isn't bad.
@@alextacy21 Their comments honestly sounded like they pulled a random clip of her dancing and tried to come up with a negative comment within 3 seconds, the dance and sharpness seem fine, so they had to fallback to her being pale and "not as happy". Wish they'd give more evidence that Hannah wasn't "Happy to be there" because I don't believe em.

Hannah is looking pale? She's a redhead, they usually have a paler skin tone. If she has also had to stay inside quarantining that will cause her to become more pale than usual. What a weird criticism!
I stayed inside for more and didnt got any more pale. She just looks unhappy
But she really didn't look happy either. She must have been really bothered by that 'bubble' not being safe.
@@cocofluff kat looked “unhappy” too. It’s pretty obvious that was right after their routine. If you’re at the episode, whenever Hannah appears on screen she looks excited and happy. This is clearly just them trying to create a narrative
@@Bulhbluhbuy I'm going to reserve judgement on Hannah until I watch the entire season. I watched the show this week and Hannah was NOT dancing her best. I want to see exactly what happened. I wasn't there, maybe you were but I'm not attacking DCC based solely on the word of a dancer I do not know.
Really- there’s a discussion about Hannah? She’s amazing. Probably because she’s feeling uncomfortable about the safety protocols (or lack of) during filming and this audition process!
That's what I'm thinking too. If it is true, that's probably why, but that's a big if..

Don't bring your baggage to the field if you want to make the team. Kelly always calls dissenting voices 'toxic'. Hanna should have sit this year out. Training and games were never going to be completely safe.

1:16 - great to see TCC's like Marissa come out strong. You can tell she's studied the DCC dance style including showmanship and facial expressions. She reminds me of Maddie in her first year of trying out, which can only be a great thing.

So it begins... The Hannah Attack.. Well maybe she looks pale because she was locked in the house quarantining/ in isolation because of the you know.... the Pandemic 🙂

It's so sad honestly... I've always loved Hannah and she could have easily been a group leader in my opinion. I've never seen her perform nothing less than powerful.

I think people need not forget that being a DCC is more than just being a great dancer and also that it is a team. On a team, everyone has their strengths. Some girls are more outgoing and beautiful but may not be the best dancers. Some are powerhouse, stand out dancers. Some girls they can send out to do press and special events. Some girls are better at motivating people in the locker room. Obviously, when it comes to dancing they want people who can do the choreography with power and look like it's effortless. They would prefer it to be mistake-free, but they're humans and everyone learns differently, and everyone has bad days. I'm sure when they judge them they are looking at them as a full package, not just the dancing. I.e. "How was Lilly's rookie year? " They probably, especially for the Vets, think about how they usually perform compared to what they have just witnessed i.e. Kat and Merideth. Kat has admittedly said it takes her a few nights to get something. If you have seen her during the games, she can be pretty powerful. As far as mess-ups go, a lot of dancers better than Kat have made mistakes on live broadcasts (I have a video of Alexis, who might I add recovered beautifully). I think Merideth is a beautiful girl and a great dancer, I just don't think she got to the point of being able to deliver the DCC style as powerful as the other vets and rookies. Her movements just don't look as full out and sharp as the rest. Then you add her sloppiness, and brain farts on top of that, it just made sense for them to release her. I don't hate her. Personally, I think they took a chance on her, hoping she would get there, but she didn't get there quick enough and got outperformed. Hannah is another story. Based on this "evidence" I think Hannah has what I have and that a face that no matter how much you try to play like your happy, tells how you really feel inside. However, I hate that they used this, because as someone who suffers from depression, which Hannah has struggled with, sometimes it's not the job itself, its something else that you're worried about and sadly people will use it as leverage against you if you are already in the hot seat. Sorry for the long post I hope it makes sense lol.
Hannah's a Midwesterner. We polite firebrands can't do the Southern belle fake happy.

I agree with everything you've said. I was sorry to see that Lily was cut, because I think she is a hard worker, was well spoken and well grounded. However, she always seemed like a stiff performer. At this point in her career as a DCC, she should be able to could in her head and the routines should be second nature to her.
@@janegotshalk6105 I agree with you. I was sad to see Lily go too. To me, she overall was a bit stiff. She was very sweet, but she came across to me as robotic in her dancing and in her interviews. I do think she was a hard worker and had a lot of heart. It's so tough to see any of these girls get cut, especially the vets.
Agree to all of this! I mean last year, it looked like the girls were really rooting for Kat, Lily, and Meredith. They seemed to be those locker room favorites, and that matters in a team. It definitely influenced Kelli and Judy’s decision. As for the dancing, Lily’s showmanship looks soooo much better, but a number of rookies are just more powerful. I’ve watched past seasons and slow learners definitely make the team, like Kelsey or Lauren. But they really learned to take in choreography quickly after their first season. But while everyone is different, it definitely is still sad to see Kat and Meredith struggle still. I also think that we literally only see a collection of a few minutes of actual dance compared to hours of practices and performances. I’m sure even the best of them make mistakes, but people like Kat and Meredith will always have closer eyes on them. And for Hannah, I remember watching her season and she talked about her struggle with mental health. So to see those comments about her...like talk about triggering! I feel for her.
That’s what happens when you take a candidate bc they’re pretty, not bc they have they have the style to be able to dance with the team...aka Meredith.

My heart stopped when they started talking about the vets... I'm not gonna lie Hannah did look a bit pail but she's a red head...I don't think she looked like she didn't want to be there like Kelly said, and it was pretty upsetting when I heard Kelly saying that. I don't agree with the idea of cutting vets, All the vets have worked very hard to be on this team and they are loyal to the directors, teammates, and they come back for a reason. Why make someone work so hard for u to just take that away from them at the end? It's just really unfair to me personally.
Some vets shouldn't even be vets though, like Meredith for example.

Yes of course they will come back if they deserve it, but I don't agree on cutting vets because if their weight, or for the girls to speak up and explain their concerns, that isn't so fair too me...
Just don't cut Kat. I never was a fan of Meredith, and can really understand her getting cut. Just don't cut Kat. Or Maddie.

Maddie is the best dancer on the team. She ain't going nowhere until she decides to retire. Heck, she was the point of the triangle last season and had the best solo at Finals. She's also a group leader and is on the show team. MVP.

Oh come on, there are a ton of tanning cremes. I think they already knew she was not happy. And Kelly was right, Hanna did not look happy in that clip.

If this was a normal year Meredith and Lily would have been cut at finals. Why don't K & J tell some girls (girls like Meredith) to just retire gracefully instead of trying for another year? (I guess Meredith struggling through training camp as a vet will make for good TV, so that's probably the answer)
My thought is maybe they would rather have them come and tryout and if they get cut still have the chance to come back after improving
Aurora Ross idk, if the writing is on the wall and they’re gonna be cut at finals anyway it’s probably best to tell them beforehand that they won’t make it back and give them the opportunity to retire. They can still try out again if they retire (although most don’t, I can only think of one who did but I can’t remember her name, it was one of the early seasons)
@@vanillamarshmallow I agree with you. Had the auditions been done under the traditional format plenty of these girls would've been cut. They would not have made it into training camp. Meredith and Lily would've gotten cut. I think even Kat would've gotten cut as well.
It's like to the veterans that they called out where Lily and Meredith last year season those were the last two that made the squad instead of one of them being cut or both of them being cut cuz they have a lot of the same problems that they're having now

Lily, Meredith and Brennan were cut because they weren't any good. and weve only heard 1 side of the story as to why Hannah was cut, and it came from her in the days directly after she was cut.

Some of you guys act like you’ve never seen the show before. While I agree that the Hannah spin is starting, it seems as if they are spinning it where she’s unhappy and doesn’t want to be there, which they have cut girls for in the past.
And they aren't lying as Hannah didnt really wanted to be there

They only put clips on RUclips, not the whole episodes. If you wanna see replays of the entire episodes, you'll have to go to the website and enter a code from your cable provider or else watch it on Spectrum On Demand or Pluto.
It's basically the same as it is on the football team, it's hard enough to make the team, it's even harder to stay on it.

Why is that old dude judging the ladies? He seems not to have taken a single dance class in his whole life, he is not known for anything related to dance or cheer, and didn´t he discussed Maddie as not being attractive enough (he said something along the lines of even if she had a makeover they could not expect the makeup to change her face) on the season she got cut? Bring Kittie or anyone else who understands and has experience dancing.
Because he goes on uso tours often times and has seen dcc perform many times.
I think he's a famous country singer or something. lol But yeah, what does he know about dancing?

I am a lily fan, and don't understand why Kelly and Judy do nothing but pick her apart, she is clearly not their favorite for whatever reason even though it seems everyone else likes her

I really like Lily. I think she's just a soft dancer. Put her up against other vets like Maddie or Amanda and then she starts to fade in the background. I think she just needs help with her power.

I thought Kat skated last year, or they edited it to look like she messed up every episode. She is beautiful and has a fun attitude, but her dancing is sub par to others. Spoiler alert: At least per her LinkedIn profile, Kat makes the squad. Also per LinkedIn Hanna does not.

i just feel like its sad that this year the vets are talked about in the camp because they were not able to do it at audiations because lets be real if they are having a hard time they would have in audiations meaning they would have been cut then. I feel bad that it happened this way, its getting their hopes up going into camp like this. But I love the team and know that will be a great year. I wonder who is going to be group leaders?

Just basing it off the clip they showed it looks like how she places her feet, she’s not grounded, it’s distracting and makes her stand out in a bad way
I would like to hear Melissa explain that better to see if she saw the same thing I did. The first thing that stood out to me in her audition video was awkward feet. Then her unfinished or wishy washy arms became obvious. I could not figure out how she had been on the other squads she mentioned. I have not been able to watch full episodes to see how that progressed during training camp.
I give the DCC credit, but I would not switch places with them. High maintenance is not for me.

Why? Out of all of the vets, those are the 3 that should be cut. There are at least 6 rookies that are better than they are (Elli, Dani, Tori, Armani and a couple others).

You have to look good to make the team. It's like 50% of it. They can be cut for not looking good in the uniform. There are no ugly DCC.

So I know this was filmed before the Pandemic gotten really restrictive for the NFL this season, but why bring anyone who is living outside of the “ Bubble “ environment ..ex the judges like Melissa Rycroft into this environment ( yes I know they were separated where they were located ..and I’m sure all the judges were properly checked before they entered the building ..but still they took an extreme risk with this. Not smart at all by the Cowboys organization imo 😬 I wonder if Melissa had to wait maybe a few days or so and stay at an isolated area near the Bubble, before she was able to return to her family at home.🤔

Imagine equating being pale with being unhappy... Did they forget we were in the middle of a pandemic? Of course Hannah couldn't make it to a tanning salon. And as a fellow pale girl, I can tell you that at-home tanning creams DO NOT work for fair skin tones. The other criticisms were valid, but Hannah's rubbed me the wrong way.
How is she the only one one that didnt get tanned or anything tho? I saw multiple shots of girls getting a little tan and etc before trainingcamp.
And looking more pale than normal can lead to someone not feeling well or happy

Lily and Meredith both get cut. Meredith deserved it as she STILL doesn’t know the choreography. Which is ridiculous for a vet. I think lily just got out danced but Kelly and Judy never seemed to like her too much. I thought she looked good and confident.

I'm sure they did not cut her for being pale. She was pale when they hired her and I've seen them chew out girls for tanning too much. They were right, she did look unhappy and I think by then they knew why she was unhappy.
Pale can also be a sign of not feeling well tho

That's such a petty thing to say. Insulting the girls for something they have no control over, they are all gorgeous, some are just better dancers than others, but if you feel the need to bring down someone take your energy to the judges that took her out, not the other talented girls.

To me judging someone based on looks only is petty, it's a dance squad afterall, I think the fans wanted to see the most talented dancers making it and although Meredith is a good dancer there were stronger dancers in the rookie class, I think her veteran status also played against her as expectations were higher for her. Otherwise they could just ask modeling agencies to send their girls and pick from there, but that would be a different show.

Kat rarely talks naturally she's always "on" its exhausting to watch. She and Meredith were lucky to get the past year, but they need to go Rookies are way better.

You are so right. People ask to see what happened included on the show and when it is, they refuse to believe DCC's take on the matter. They have chosen a side and nothing Kelly says will pacify them. Hanna's constant complaining could be perceived as toxic. She should have skipped this year if she was THAT worried about covid. Game day was never going to be 100% safe anyway.

She was expressing her concerns but of course because it's reality tv they r going to make it look as if she wasn't a good dancer or she was "too pail" even tho she's a red head...so she is naturally pail, and is one of the best and most powerful dancers on the team. We don't go to Hannah's side just for fun, we do it because it was an unfair cut. So just because I speak up and Express my opinion about Covid restrictions and how they r taking it with having reality tv as a priority instead of the cheerleaders, directors and staff... I'm going to get cut? Does that sound fair to u? Hannah's family works in healthcare of course that doesn't mean she's an expert but she knows the risks, yes all of the girls took a big risk just by entering the "bubble" but why can't they express their concerns? Why don't you look at the whole story and open your eyes to this situation.
Also the returning veterans and TCCs came because they wanted to continue their dream of being a DCC & because of the sisterhood.
