Hey CV. I saw the original aired on TV and it was a shock. Hard to deal with such CULCHA. But then it grew on me and I'm still alive. A huge cast of talent representing so many ethnic groups. Great how they work together for a laugh. Love your work!
Yes yelling is pretty much the norm here in Australia mate not always but it is common I use to live with neighbours with an environment like that where people who just constantly yell but this show is pretty much the satire of that.

I am from Australia and i grew up around people like them and myself i lived in Housos. It got so crazy there that my Mum Ex parnter burnt down the Housos because he thought it would be funny.

This is set out in the western suburbs of Sydney around Mt Druitt where its common to have housing commission area and people like this.
We got heaps of em in WA too, they move them around different Suburbs in Free Housing. This drives the areas property prices down until they're bought up for redevelopment and so on and so on. I was one😁
It was filmed around Merrylands (when Frankie bought the car) thats Merrylands auso I obought cars there, when he is beging chased by the cops that is Ferndell street South Granville I think their on the old Acrow Steel building, cnat remember for sure what that used to be. THe shop scene was filmed on victoria rod Rydalmere. none of hte show was filmed anywhere near Mt druitt. The house is in Villawood. I grew up in that area it was never as bad as this show shows though. I think Frankie grew up not far from there as well as he knows the cnaals, we used to get around using the canals. He knows too much not to be a local.
This show is just so addictive, it's very hard to stop watching it! My favourite is Frankie, the survivor! 😁 Avoid the real housos! 👍
Yeah mate, you're right about Pizza. They were something like pilots that actually got aired, or so I've believed for twenty years or so. But , it definitely gets better and better each series. There's a good interview with Paul Fenech and he gives the whole story. Cheers from Melbourne.

Yes this was on normal TV, Getting a huge laugh watching it again, Fat Pizza came first and was like 10 years before Housoes. Fat Pizza gets better as it goes where Housoes was just a crack up from the start.

Fat Pizza gets better. Just got to remember they prefected their humour as the show grew and the characters too. Started a bit dull and rusty but think of it as a prototype 1st few shows.

I was going to go in with the pronounciation of "housos" but ive seen a couple already. Definitely agree on recommending the Swift n Shift reaction vids though.
Fat Pizza takes a bit to get going but it does get better. Housos holds its value through the seasons and movies.

I'm with you bro. I wasn't a big fan of Fat Pizza but i find Housos funny as f**k. Also Angry Boys, Summer Heights High and Jonah From Tonga are all really funny if you like Chris Lilleys humour, and genuis at playing a lot of characters. (Worth trying to find out)

Man, i have to ask. You do realize that Houso's ( pronounced House Ohs ) and Fat Pizza is basically the same cast ? It's basically a spoof on housing commission living. In the states i think you'd call them housing projects. And yes, the voices are exaggerated.....but.....there are some genuine articles , just like them. Don't it make you feel proud to be an aussie haha.

I’m not sure who’s speaking for all of us, but no, this extreme, caricatured version of accents and language, only exists in the most feral of the Bogans. A small percentage. Same with the extreme behaviour. And I’m no privileged Aussie, I grew up in a very rough Housing Commission area. It’s all exaggerated to the max for Comedic purposes. Yes, there are some that are kinda close to this (I won’t mention the name of a certain disgraced former NRL Player), but they’re in the minority.
