Heard one the other day say that college educated people are the greatest threat ever facing the U.S. and that something has to be done about it once and for all. That is the real reason these people are so hung up on the 2nd amendment. They believe it is a license to murder anyone who is not just like them.
Alito and Thomas have probably done permanent damage to the Court, I find it really tough to pretend they are objective about anything.

I can assure you that if the U.S. ever reached a stage of universal healthcare, this Supreme Court would rule it unconstitutional. Elections have consequences. Trump's victory in 2016 was a death sentence. I told people that then and they scoffed. Not as many are scoffing today.

It is more than 1 insurrectionist on the SC. For an authoritarian coup to succeed you need 5 things: a takeover of a major political party ✓, Massive donors ✓, A big slice of the media spouting propaganda ✓, irregular militia(s) ✓,

It's very simple. Alito doesn't believe in the rule of law or court decisions. There were over sixty cases brought to contest the vote and all failed. All of them. So alito is saying he doesn't respect the rule of law.
Almost all were dismissed based on standing or laches, not based on evidence. The lower-court judges didn't want to get involved in the third rail of the judicial system. There was evidence, but it wasn't looked at. And more evidence has emerged since.

It actually says they "shall retain their offices under good behavior" which is a potential lifetime appointment, but I don't think it was intended that Justices should take bribes and still retain their offices because that isn't good behavior under rule of law.
