I have a robot like this for 2 years, i've had some connection problems 2 or 3 times, but I've restarted the robot according to the user manual and it was ok. The quality price ratio is very good. A cool toy and a security camera all in one. I've seen baby monitors much more expensive than this robot.
As an exowner of this "thing" I should say that is a great product but for a poor battery (it deads more or less in 6 months) and for a laggy camera, poor movement sensor. So awesome at first but disappointing in the medium term. It's a pitty could be a great product but for the build quality.
Well,now that l got this robot over a year. Got this robot charged up after the next morning,it solid green.Took it off the base,it flashing red right away! Charge it up again, half day later, it flashing red again.Do this mean that l got to get a new battery???!!!!At least the American made Robo Bubby don't have any problem for over two years and not only that, you can replace battery , because it got a battery compartment,you can replace it whenever you want and it got a charging base .You can get this at HSN or at Kmart for only $49 and you can control it anywhere in the world with a smartphone to check around your house!Now why in the world would you want to ship it to Korea to have a battery replace and pay for the labor and repair and shipping?????!!!!!!
Sorry but this is still to cheap for a serious security robot. This and the cloudrover are plagued with problems. With the amount of money you would need for a decent one you would be better off putting up a full CCTV setup at that point instead with PTZ cameras.
I never could get mine to connect to the wireless network. It just says that over and over. I tried going to the website but English is not the first language of the people who wrote the help so it made very little sense. There are colors on the robot that are not in the directions so I never could figure out how to set it up. I had my kids look at it and it was decided that it was just not working correctly. From reading reviews, it sounds like installation is a common problem so it may or may not work for you. There are little tricks that are not listed in the directions.
They seriously need to fix the camera quality or video streaming on this thing. It has laggy & jerky video. The china made escam has far better silky smooth video. But escam has really bad controls and docking mechanism.
If someone has broken into my house and steels my Appbot Riley, am I able to locate by GPS or by some other system, where my product is ? Or is there somewhere on the Appbot Riley ‘s website where I can remotely retrieve back my Appbot ? Thank you John

The Manufacture is no more. It was great while it lasted. But, it didn't last long.

I had two of these - neither would connect and the company never responds to emails. Went with Robo buddy and it’s awesome.

Warning do not buy. This has connection problems all the time. the motion detection doesn't work & the facial detection is worthless
