How Polluted Water is Treated | Sewage Treatment Plant | Biology in Real World | NEET-IIT ADDA
Where does our waste water go, we know that they are thrown off in the river which is one of the causes of pollution, and diseases. Do you think anyone cares? Whether the government cares? We easily focus on the discrepancies of the government, but to treat this problem the government is doing a marvelous job.
In this video, NEET-IITAdda will take you to the complete process of how the water is being treated in Sewage Treatment Plant?
We have studied about it in the NCERT Book, Chapter 10 and 16.
The sewage water gets collected in the Collecting Tank, where large waste is separated from the small ones. In the Stilling Tank, the process takes place. Then , it is transferred to the Great chamber where the small particles are separated using Secondary treatment i.e. biological treatment before passing on to the Aeration Tank.
In between there are many processes until the Chlorine Treatment, where the water becomes germ free. There are Scada rooms, Control room labs, Heavy equipment that complement the whole process in their way. Go through the video, to know about the process, tanks, equipment.
