NOTE: This is not an official trailer. I have no association with Focus Features or the 2024 Nosferatu film production. This was animated in After Effects and Photoshop and edited in Premiere.
Robert Eggers is the perfect director to take on this adaption...his visual style will suit it so well and he is a master at evoking atmosphere and a sense of dread. Cannot wait to see this...only 11 months to go!
Agree 100%! I'm normally very wary of remakes of classic movies, but this has the potential to be amazing. And Eggers is in good company- let's not forget that Werner Herzog already made a very decent remake back in the seventies, not to mention the highly underrated Shadow of the Vampire which is also technically a Nosferatu remake. I rarely get excited about new releases these days, but I can't wait for this!! Eggers has clearly been heavily influenced visually and tonally by Murnau and German Expressionism in a lot of his work already (especially The Lighthouse) so seeing him actually take on a Murnau picture and give his own unique spin on it will be a real treat...
Word. The VVitch was awesome
I dont wanna die until that 😂
I agree. I usually hate remakes, but this is different cuz it's such a classic story ( Dracula with some tweaks). I think Eggers was a good choice for director.
@@oliverholmes-gunning5372Yes!! I really love Herzog's version,it's actually my most favorite film of his.
Finally, after all these years I can see a biopic about the guy who was flickering the lights in the Krusty Krab
Hahaha yaaaaaas
The hash slinging slasher lol
@@JohnSmith-fq7hj🤦♂️
But it already has.
😂
Can’t wait! Ever since The Witch I’ve been in awe of Robert Eggers. ♥️♥️♥️
The best!
It's funny, I didn't much care for The Witch the first time I saw it, but then when The Lighthouse came out and quickly became one of my favourite movies of 2019 I decided to revisit it to give it another chance, and this time I loved it! Seen it like 6 times since, and ever since then seeing Eggers' name attached to anything has been a cause for excitement and anticipation. And I'm absolutely buzzed for this! The Northman was good, but it's great to see Eggers returning to his horror roots, and a project like Nosferatu seems tailor-made for him...
The Witch is my favorite, amazing film!
Good to see the vampire genre still alive and kicking especially since the bad reviews of The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Looking forward to seeing this especially since Eggers is directing. Egger's movies, I think, are a mixture of true horror bordering on the absurd.
Not to mention that colosal disaster that was Morbius.
To be honest, most modern day vampire stories I have seen(which admittedly aren't a lot) weren't as fun as Bram Stoker's Dracula. Not that it was a flawless novel but there was just something unique about it. It had a radically different perspective on Dracula and vampires.
Nowadays, there are just part of the dark fantasy genre and aren't as well known for the kind of genre these characters come from which is gothic horror.
But anyways, I recommend the original novel(spoilers, it has a tiny bit of antisemitism regarding a minor character) and Young Dracula.
Young Dracula is some British children's horror comedy which I actually liked watching.
Check out El Conde
@@LordIstar Isnt Morbius simply a comic super hero/villain character? I wouldnt put it in the Vampire genre
@@MovieJustin I'll give it a look
Two directors who's films you just know are gonna be phenomenal are Robert Eggers and Mike Flanagan. Everything they touch turns to gold.
I can already tell this is going to join The Witch alongside my favorite Horror Movies. Love Robert Eggers Directing so much.
Dueling Nosferatus?!? I'm looking forward to seeing Doug Jones in the OTHER film, although this teaser has the atmosphere.
In case you haven't yet watched the TV show "NOS4A2" (a play on "Nosferatu"), you are missing a truly creepy experience. The show ran on AMC, 2019-2020, for 2 seasons, and is available for streaming. The story was based on the book "NOS4A2" by Joe Hill (he is the son of Steven King, and is every bit as talented as his dad).
"They all float down he- oh, wait, wrong movie."
Too Bad This Didn’t Come Out In 2022, It Would’ve Perfectly Commemorated The Original Silent Films 100th Anniversary!
I can't fucking wait!!
Excellent! J adore, j éspere un vrai extrait de ce type bientôt
boy Jonathan Greenblatt is gonna be pissed he isnt getting money for a bio-pic of his life. ADL gonna sue someone.
Nice Christmas Movie.
This could be pretty great, actually
Cool fan trailer, shame it's titled in a way that is designed to fool people into thinking it's the real deal and capitalise on other peoples work.
I’m excited for the cast but I disagree with the choice of the main girl being Lily Depp
Give that one a miss…the music scared me, God knows what the film will do 😂
I actually thought this was real until I read the description
Who else watches the original 7 years ago?
A gothic horror movie on Christmas Day is a great treat and a very traditional one.
Correct!
A Christmas Carol is a ghost story 👻😊
Yeah I love the tradition. This past Christmas I went to see “poor things”. A decent gothic define flick.
Nothing special about xmas day. I spit on Tammuz
@@jrob4795you're so edgy
This particular version of Dracula has terrified me since I was a child. I'm scared as hell but also excited to see this film.
Same here!
It’s not Dracula
Wonder if he's still Orlok here
Nosferatu is older than dracula, Nosferatu was the first vampire
@@jacobshelton5129almost the same thing, basically the same story but with different things and names
102 years after the first film… amazing
Anything by Robert Eggers is must see.
I'm glad they used a tower bell instead of a continued piano note.
And no deep *boom* noise either, thank god
Exactly. A cold, flat, monotone bell. This was perfect.
The nostalgia piano would have been used if nosferatu had a theme song.
Pretty sure the trailer was score by eggers composer Mark Korven who is slated to score the film and has worked with the director preciously on The Witch and The Lighthouse
hope the bell is used like the foghorn was in the lighthouse
Can we all agree this is top 5 most anticipated film of this year?!!
No.
AGREED!
Top 1 for me! Can't say that the prospect of many of the movies I've heard are coming out this year so far fills me with much excitement (I was looking forward to Joker 2 until I heard it's going to be a fucking musical), but I simply can't wait for this, it's going to be absolutely perfect!!
EDIT: wait, they're also making Saw 11 this year, right? Normally the prospect of yet another Saw sequel would bore me to death, but given how surprisingly excellent Saw X was I confess I'm pretty excited for that too. Not as much as Nosferatu though...
Number one for me personally 🩸
Absolutely this and salems lot
The fact that people aren't catching that this is an unofficial fan film shows how well it is done
It's not an official fan film lol
@@aarkproductions fan TRAILER is what I meant
@@jacksonclune3166
It's not a fan trailer either this is made by a legit producer, with actual actors
Well, f^ck, there goes my hopes on watching this…it is very nicely made though
Wait so it's a real movie tho right?
The entire story surrounding the work of Nosferatu is incredible. An illegal adaptation of Stoker's original work, which despite acting illegally, became the first film adaptation of Bram Stoker's story. 102 years later it is reborn from the ashes of the past. A simple tribute to F.W Murnau, Stoker and all of us who admire horror. 🖤
Don't forget Werner Herzog's Nosferatu from 1979. Herzog considered the original Nosferatu to be the most important work in German film history since it foreshadowed the coming of Hitler. Starring the inimitable Klaus Kinski, it is truly a masterpiece.
It depends how you see it with eyes inside.
@briantjepkema7758 also the criminally underrated Shadow of the Vampire from 2000, which straddles the line between remake and companion piece
@@oliverholmes-gunning5372 Thanks for the recommendation. I was unaware of this film but I will certainly have a look. The trailer looks very interesting!
@@briantjepkema7758 ah yeah, I highly recommend it, it's basically a movie about the making of Nosferatu except the crew begins to suspect that the actor Max Schreck is actually a real-life vampire brought in by FW Murnau for extra realism lol. Really nice tribute to the original movie, and the recreated scenes are amazingly accurate
Excellent work, man! I particularly like what you did before the title faded up. I can't tell you how excited I am for this movie. I saw F.W's version of Nosferatu a few years ago, with a piano accompaniment, and it blew me away. Eggers, whether he's working in the horror genre or not, is one of the finest contemporary directors. If this movie is anything less than a masterpiece, I will be heartbroken.
Thanks! I’m a big fan of both prior versions of Nosferatu and can’t think of a better director to tackle the story a third time than Eggers - I have very high expectations!
Bill is quickly becoming one of the biggest character actors on the planet
The stuff he did with his eyes and mouth in It was awesome.
Spooky as hell, I love it.
Reading through the comments many here don't realize that this is a fan made trailer and not the official trailer. That shows you how well made this trailer is.
It's a bloody great trailer. Really well done.
It isn’t well made. It’s just a bunch of still images edited together with software. Anyone who knows how to edit videos on a computer can whip up something like this. The actual upcoming Nosferatu was shot on film.
Damn, I actually believed to be an official trailer. This really gets the vibe of Lighthouse.
Bill Skarsgård AND Nick Hoult is beyond perfect casting for this. Especially with the performance he slayed in IT. Robert Eggers directing too, omg this is gonna be amazing just wait and see fellas
Skaarsgard was great in IT but I still prefer Tim Curry's performance in the role.
Honestly can't wait.. it's about time vampires become scary again.
Even after the official trailer releases, I still think this is such a better trailer. Fucking amazing.
OMG FINALLY!!! I have something to look forward to next year for Christmas! Robert Eggers is an awesome director and I can't wait to see what he's done with "Nosferatu".
March 4th is going to mark the 102'nd anniversary of the iconic film. That's going to be insane to think about.
Eggers reuniting with his VVitch cast as well as Skarsgard as the eponymous character. I'm already sold. Take my money already!!!!!
His brother starred in the Northman and his dad had a cameo in that same movie. I can’t wait to see the entire family in his movies 🍿
It looks fantastic ... the 1922 original and the adaptation from 1979 are two incredible art pieces that are both scary in their own special way and I think this screenplay will fit perfectly.
I'm totally juiced for this one to come out. Looks amazing!!
The real trailer was released today...
I prefer this one.
Me too buddy!
real trailer isn’t bad tho, doesn’t reveal much
Same. This vibe is better. More impactful and scary.
Beyond stoked to see it's coming this year!
So Bill skarsgard is now both Pennywise and Nosferatu? Okay I see
Well, he does have the Tim Burton style face.
Though it's not like it won't have a toll on him. I hope his work wouldn't be overwhelming.
Well, that just became my most anticipated film of 2024 pretty damn fast
this better than the official trailer tbh
Hope it would lean more towards "The Lighthouse" in atmosphere. "The Northman" was something bizzare.
Good job!! Best fan trailer I've ever seen.
I usually never watch trailers anymore but this one was perfect.
This is better (and scarier) than the real official trailer
For real 😂
I am absolutely in for this one. Nosferatu is one of the greatest films ever and Herzog did a remake as well with Kinski in the title role. Eggers is the perfect director for a new version.
I watched Nosferatu on A boarding school film class way back 1978, terrifyingly great
This is giving me The Witch vibes. I’m so excited!
I like some of Eggers films. Ive never seen the original, but this could be interesting. The man has a talent for atmosphere.
A YEAR!? We have a year to wait!?
better wait than get something unfinished / unpolished
Feels like it is vey much inspired by the 20's original. Awesome!
Has hecho un Trailer espectacular, el listón esta muy alto ya pueden currarselo cuando saquen el oficial porque este para los pocos segundos que dura da mucho miedo.
Enorabuena sigue asi😊
Having Hoult as Hutter means he is practically playing reinfield again.
이제 미국은영화거지같이만들고 쓰레기가됐음
Of course Jenna Ortega is in it because why not she in every other movie nowadays.
As a fan of Dracula, I definitely cannot miss this gem.
Have no interest at all. The Definitive is the 1922 and always will be 🦇
damn i really love that spongebob episode, finally a liveaction
Scary imagery in a horror movie! Thats like the 7th time its ever been done
Very well done. Is the font custom?
aw frig man I was so excited I got outta bed, now I figure out its not real
A million times YES!
Can't wait for this movie. Robbert Eggers never fails to deliver! Currently my favourite director by far.
I prefer this to the actual trailer. This one is so ominous
nah, i thought it would say december
Robert Eggers is my most favourite director.
The trailer looks enchanting
Ugh , not with that vapid lily rose depp…
Eggers films are either hit of miss. The Witch was unsettling as hell especially with the Old English language used in the movie and the ending. As much as it was good, I wouldn't see it again, it really crawls under my skin. Not scary per se. But like I said, unsettling as hell. The Lighthouse, as weird as it was pretty artsy-fartsy but it's still ok. Then there's The Northman. I was waiting for it with anticipation but it was boring as heck. I mean it was a good attempt on his part to bring the Norse legend in collaboration with Sjorn.
This is one, while it looks creepy, I'd still see it but I wouldn't be too excited about it just to be disappointed by it. I'll decide when I finally see it.
But Christmas release huh? An Oscar bait definitely.
Oh thank gawd it’s a fan thing. I’m thinking how many remakes of Nosferatu do we need? And what exactly is wrong with FW Murnau’s film that needs an update? The classic still freaks me out to this day
A teaser for a Xmas release in March?.... Wtf?
I waited 102 years for this....
This is Magnificent. Wooow. I'm really pretty big fan of Eggers but still I'm sure that he'll never be able to do this or keep this vibe in his 2024 movie.
I'm pretty sad after watching this, thinking about it that it's actually not original & we'll never get a product like this ever. 😢
I appreciate it, but I promise you the actual movie will be much better than anything I can make on my own!
How do you know?@@gaedits5860
This actually looks pretty scary
I thought nosferatu was from spongebob
The original nosferatu is very scary, I can’t wait
Is this actually happening?
They are bringing back William Dafoe! This is going to be amazing!!!🎉
Bill skarsgard is going to play him not William dafoe
@@jacobshelton5129 Dafoe is still playing a character in this new movie, though. No one said it would be the vampire.
DaFoe played in Shadow of the Vampire & has been in two of Eggers movies. The Lighthouse & the Northman
@@Sashimi1408 a lot of people have been suspecting that he would play nosferatu so I guess I incorrectly assumed that they thought he was the vampire

of course willem dafoe is in it
HOW DO YOU HAVE 79 SUBSCRIBERS. THIS IS LIKE THE BEST CONCEPT TRAILER I HAVE EVER SEEN🙃🙃🙃🙃
This will be high on atmosphere. Can't wait :O
I trust Rober Eggers.
Dude, hope they hire you to make the official trailer.
Geil. Ich Freu mich voll drauf
The OG is BACK!!!!
If Robert Eggers keeps this up, he will become my favorite director easily
I have to survive until christmas. I have to survive until christmas. I have to SEE IT! THE FUCK! That ending shot is what sold me. Do it, do it. DO IT NOW!
what a shame that the original would fall into nothing more than a meme; Max Shrek was the whole reason that movie was so creepy back in the 1910s. An iconic look of evil n no one really knew who the actor was. Time makes lots of people fade away.
Such a mood/vibe. About time vampires stay in the dark and aren't cliché's or sparkle. DO... NOT... GET... ME... STARTED!
Can't wait
I see Willem Dafoe is in it, who actually played Max Schrek in the movie Shadow of the Vampire. This looks interesting.
Whyyyyyyyyyy is he not finally directing BLOOD MERIDIAN???
My god, his Nosferatu is a true nightmare fuel!
