I was watching it during the holidays and they had a Christmas sing a long at Cinderella's castle and the younglady that was performing had backup dancers who were male and they were wearing full makeup, dresses and high heels. I was obsessed with H2O Just Add Water when I was 10-12 years old (anyone else maybe?). Now that I think about it, it's so clear to me that my adoration for the show was unhealthy to say the least. Parents unfortunetaly dismiss this kind of behaviour because it's "typical for kids this age". Seems like the sad reality is that by watching tv shows like these children become vulnarable to demonic opression. Speaking from experience, my path to finding God was very hard. I was an atheist/agnostic most of my life. Later on began to entertain the ideas about UFOs, different dimensions, new age crap. Luckily I hit a very low point in my life during Covid and thought I might as well give the Bible a chance. Best thing that ever happened. Just got done watching the little mermaid (old one) and yes, fast forwarded ALOT, very dark, and prayed over myself after watching it. VERY INTERESTING… Ariel fell for the witches bait after being hurt and not heard by her father. The witch (the enemy) got her when she was vulnerable and with something she wanted! So this movie definitely painted a picture of how the enemy works. Like someone else commented, I can’t believe this stuff was (and is) so normal in our movies!! Jesus, give us wisdom and knowledge on what to watch and not watch! OH and Revelation 13 talks on how the antichrist will come from the sea! Interesting!!

When you do not know God and don't understand how a dark spiritual realm is real, these movies and cartoons do not seem so evil at all. I was entertaining myself with them as a kid on a regular basis. Yet now as a follower of Christ, I see evilness even in such a "basic childhood cartoons" as Tom and Jerry and Duffy Duck etc. All they show there is hard trolling, hatred and lots of violence and even that fact that no matter how badly they get hurt in these cartoons, their bodies always restore themselves to continue to get hurt more and more and more, this is what happens in hell, humans receive bodies that are constantly tortured but they are never damaged but keep restoring themselves to get more and more torture.

As an African I don't take such things lightly because I've heard of many real life stories relating to the water spirit and growing up we were always told to never go swimming or do any form of activities in big water bodies such as rivers, lakes etc.. because of the water spirit. Many disney movies also ingrain in little girls the ideas of rebeliion (especially against the father), witchcraft, immodesty, and the idea that a man will make you happy. As a young girl I fell into all of these, i believe i was heavily influenced by Disney because it was almost all i was allowed to watch growing up. it wasn't until i had a conversion when i was 21 that i came to love God and myself and no longer needed all of those rebeliious ideas to have worth.

I feel so convicted right now! I’m even afraid I might have a marine spirit for 2 reasons: 1, I love mermaids. I have them all over my house. AND last year we went to an aquarium, and they had these huge killer whale statues that were hanging above the walk way, it was really neat. It made you feel as if you were in the water with them. So I took a pic underneath it, with my arms up in the air as I was trying to touch the whales. Then I posted the pic on my IG with the caption “In my past life I was a mermaid. I swam with the Orcas, played with the dolphins and friended the Great Whites”. I don’t believe that at all, I said it as a joke, but now I feel like my eyes are being opened. I’m going to go delete that post from a year ago right now!!!!! 2, I also have a real legitimate phobia of fish. I’ve had one since I was a kid. I’m horribly terrified of fish. You can always renounce any word you’ve spoken in the name of Jesus. You have to get the mermaids out of your house, and ask the Lord to show you how to break all ties and what doors to close. Btw it was towards the end when Ursula began to bring an evil wrath that my daughter fell asleep. And in that moment I began to regret bringing her and also grateful she didn’t witness. When Ariel gave her voice away is when I was able to see as a mature me just how evil and terrible this scene was. It wasn’t until this moment that I wondered how that scene may have affected me as a child. This video is only confirmation that it has a heavier impact than we recognize often times. Worldly people are that blind. I was worldly when I was a kid and I entertained myself with all those cartoons and movies on a regular basis without ever thinking or seeing the demonic aspects of it. When you get to know God and He opens your eyes to see spiritual darkness behind things, that is a whole other world you are seeing.

So sad we live in a fallen world. I refuse to let my children watch TV. This world has grown so dark. I have been put down and mocked over my situation. About a year ago, the Lord showed me mermaids are demons, my 4 year old daughter wanted to know more about mermaids because we found a lot of them at the local library, and I started feeling something was wrong with them, because the theme was ocean but the have more mermaids than any other sea creature, and that called my attention, even the books they were giving away had mermaids, unicorns, etc, and I asked the Lord about it and I found very good information about them, how the operate in Haiti, Africa, but the most important thing that came out to my mind was that the philistines had a god Dagon that has fallen on his face on the floor in front of the Ark of the Covenant the they captured from the Israelites, and years ago when I read Dagon was half “fish” half human, so I explained the best I could to my daughter and she immediately said she didn’t want to have mermaids in her life. Yes. We thank the Lord for the Africa Christian’s who taught us so much about the marine kingdom. I remember reading a book that was a revised version of the first book they published exposing the water kingdom and the evil female fallen angels who run it. The guy who revised it said the original author and the editors were in a straight battle with them. First they gave warning by erasing all the typing but then they started cursing. The author almost died and even had his writing hand paralyzed. His first editor also was almost killed by them. The second editor was robbed of almost all his possessions and others involved suffered as well. But also a important factor they mentioned in the book was Samson being defeated by them through Delilah and them working completely through Jezebel. And of course the marine kingdom holds Jezebels reign over Israel up like a trophy considering in the book of revelation they said she refused to repent.

I loved the Little Mermaid as a child, so got the 1989 animated movie for my 5 year old daughter to watch. Can you imagine my jaw drop when watching the evil sea witch convince Ariel that she will give her the desires of her heart, in exchange for her beautiful singing voice, and then produced an actual contract for her to sign in order to seal the deal - much like how we hear of artists selling their souls for fame and money. I don't even want to know what this new movie will be like, we will definitely be staying far away from it.

I'm from Nigeria in West Africa. You're 100% correct. The name of my state is Akwa Ibom. So as you can see, it's literally water. Akwa in thus case means water. There are ceremonies where people will sleep beside the water for days and conjure up spirits, some of the demons they conjure can be seen with the naked eye, and they'll circle around the village at night with their occult members. No one was allowed to see them, unless you're a member of the cult. You dare not be found outside when they're dancing. You dare not. You even have to turn off all the lights in your home. Im in America and personally been dealing with the water kingdom through a spirit spouse. I believe you 100 percent about the terror the people deal with in that area since I learned about the water kingdom and what I was dealing with through African sources. These guys are the most stubborn demons and it’s a full blown spirit battle with them. They are indeed abusive and the nightmares are insane. They built a altar on my bed and I would have visions of rituals going on sometimes especially if I declare spiritual warfare. So God told me I have to sleep in the basement. He showed me everything in the spirit realm. I’ve met their queen who is a fallen angel and saw the spiritual prison I was in. I also see Satan quite a lot since he does stalk like a lion along with others who monitor me. I also have Gods angels check up on me on a regular bases and seen the power of Christ even though I wasn’t in the state of complete deliverance. He was merciful enough to give me a example of what he can do. They melted out of fear. No matter how close you are to God you can’t get through them without Christ.
And this is why I ditched Disney. I can only think of 2 disney movies that have little to nothing demonic. Even in the early 200s, Lilo and Stitch passed with a voodoo scene. We Christians need to SHUT THIS DOWN!! Don't let the sirens in, don't let the sea dragons in, don't let Poseidon and the hippocampus’ in. I'm Greek and there is so much stuff in the sea which is exactly like the many sea demons we see today. The mermaid had to choose between killing the prince in order to become a human for the rest of her life or go back to the sea become sea foam. Because of love, she let him live and became sea foam.

This is true!!! I was recently on a cruise and fell asleep on the balcony, when I woke up I stood and stared out at the water, I felt something trying to draw me in. I’m now convinced that people that fall off cruise ships dont fall, they are lured in and they jump… those partitions are almost impossible to fall over, you have to climb over them. This was 2 months ago, the Lord has been revealing things to me about the water/ water spirits ever since… probably how I wound up here.

I’m really glad I saw this. Where I come from in Nigeria, Africa, in the old days some people dedicated their children to these water demons and it hunted them for generations. I used to be obsessed with the Little Mermaid. Like obsessed. I even prayed to God to make me a mermaid. I dreamed one night that i was deep in the ocean and it was very dark. And then i saw two mermaids. They were SO EVIL and ugly with translucent skin and sharp teeth and it terrified me! This was before I'd ever heard of marine spirits and my parents had never talked of it being bad at all, this was before internet. So yeah it made me be a bit more guarded!

I agree. There are so many cartoons and motion pictures that have a "bad feel" to them when you watch them. My daughter was obsessed with a cartoon called "The Last Unicorn" and with dark stuff like "Interview with a Vampire." I will be frank. Her life did not end well. There was little teaching about these influences in my small Baptist church when I was growing up. I never realized what bad things I was allowing into my daughter's life. Now these things surround the kids even more, and it is tough to avoid them. I pray for all of you who are parents to find other moms and dads who believe the same way you do. Maybe your children can find it easier to turn away from this stuff if they have a peer group of like-minded friends.
I was saddened when my housekeeper brought her daughter to my house and let her daughter watch some very filthy cartoon movies that were filled with suggestions of lesbian relationships and female characters making fun of male characters.

You know I was into the politics behind the new mermaid movie. There were things I disagreed with, but after watching this video it made me realize that none of it matters. At the end of the day it’s all just another distraction from the fact that the movie overall is just demonic. Perry Stone wrote a book one many years ago where he references a story a friend told him about going scuba diving at the edge of the Bermuda Triangle. He only stayed under the water for a few minutes and refused to go back down because it sounded like the were giant chains moving around under the water. Demons can be anywhere and I absolutely believe many exist in the waters.
Strange but true. I once took photos at the Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C and later saw that there was a ghost/specter of a mermaid like creature. Blurry and lacked details but was clear it was in the form of a mermaid humanoid female figure. Had brown hair, and a tail. No clothing. Fair Caucasian skin. Just blury very strange. It was photos of the USS Philadelphia (1776) with the cannons. Would love to go back to take more photos again to try to investigate more. Sadly lost the blue SIM card but was able to view the photos in my old Wii on the photo channel. Sadly gone. But Jesus and His angels are stronger!

In New York, after the covid lockdowns were lifted, the first big official public parade they had was a mermaid parade. They hold this parade annually to mark the start of Summer. Many people come out to this and all dress up as mermaids or mermen with great enthusiasm. I remember watching this and thinking to myself that there is a demonic spirit behind this whole thing because of how unnatural and perverse it is. This parade feels like a ritual celebration that pays homage to these water spirits!

This made me think of the story in the Bible where Jesus delivered a man from demons and they asked Him if they could go into a herd of pigs, and Jesus permitted it, and they just ran off a cliff into water and drowned. I've always been stumped why they drove thier new hosts into water just to drown right away, but after watching this, it makes more sense. Interesting.
All that God does has a purpose. I was thinking about the millions of years and evolution fallacy and suddenly a name appeared in my mind: Legion. Why did Jesus treat Legion different than other demons, like asking their name and casting them into pigs? He was professing the future that we live in today! A future were many would believe in a lie that is MANY (millions, billions of years) as Legion was, would be as the pigs that went insane and threw themselves out of the cliff. I had a mermaid necklace that my aunt gifted me as a child. Everytime I wore the necklace the worst things would happen to me. After awhile I started correlating the bad events with me wearing the necklace. I stopped wearing the necklace and the bad luck stopped. Our parents chose lukewarm Christianity or a secular life. They were doomed to not see anything just like the ancient people who didn’t know God at all because they didn’t bother to truly serve him in the first place.

After the Flood, I can believe that some of those powers and principalities remained in the water. I’ve been struggling with being confined artistically as a Christian. However, through the lessons I’ve learned in this book, and by allowing God to speak to me, and through me in what I do/make, i’ve found a lot more freedom. I pray for God to show me what to paint. When I start painting I allow the Holy spirit to guide me through, and I worship throughout. There is so much more for you that you get to experience through co creating with God. Through obedience to God and worship my art has seriously never been more extraordinary. I say this because my art shifted and got drastically better and I’m painting concepts that are outside the box/realm I was used to. Also, when I read scripture I’ve been finding that angels and visions of God are WAY more cooler than Disney. Read Ezekiel!!

I also love making characters and stories. I love make belief as well. However, i’ve found out mermaids are more than that. Ive lately been making characters based off of spiritual gifting in the Bible and everything has Biblical references/metaphors. It’s way more cooler and fun. Jesus is more needed in stories than mermaids. Those who read your comic will eventually die. Will the story you tell benefit them after they die as well? Will it enrich their lives by drawing them closer to Jesus? This is what truly matters and what is needed now. There are great books out there that are fantasy like but Christian. Example: Narnia and wingfeather saga. What makes them Christian is they show us aspects of Jesus without having to directly say His name. Jesus is shown through the aspects of sacrifice and redemption in these books.

This is exactly what I have been saying, even with my last post on demonic activity and fictional writing (like with Dracula; how I wish they would make a verbatim version of the film...with its strong Christian tones) and how I wish there were more authors writing stories, tales...but flip the script to make these creatures shown in their true nature. How it be a fairy tale, yes, but give it Scriptural grounding. Make Christian stature and God Himself be the heroes of the story, not the demonic creatures. Return them to the truth of how they are spiritual beings, but also how the end of the tale is the overcoming of such realms through faith and Biblical actions. I would LOVE to see more movies like that.

Sirens are actually also mentioned in the book of Enoch. They are the women (spirits of the women) who had children with the watchers( fallen angels). So the sirens/ mermaids are actually the women from genesis 6:2.

I've been afraid of deep water, it's been a fear of mine since I was a child. The ocean is a trip due to it's size and how mysterious it is. Also I've heard through the book Heaven" by Randy Alcorn that there's no Ocean in Heaven. Praise God🙏
I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that this movie, among many other movies Pastor Vlad assigns as demonic, is only a problem if you attach any spiritual weight on it. In 1 Corinthians 8, Paul addresses Christians who eat food sacrificed to idols as people with stronger faith, because they understand idol worship doesn't have any spiritual power. Christians do not live according to the Law, so we are free to do what we want as long as it doesn't cause other Christians to stumble and it doesn't corrupt your heart. I understand that mythology is fiction, and I can watch or read fiction without it bothering my heart. But if you think it has spiritual powers you are free to reject it from your life. If you are reading this, please let me know what you think.
Well, for those weak in faith (such as vast majority of impressionable children) it would be bad. Even for the strong it would probably be good only for distraction and reading the Bible would or history might be better. My opinion. I am on the fence between weak and strong or I don't realize I'm strong and think I am weak, so I should probably read fiction less and my Bible more
I’m gonna agree with this, but say that this is correct thinking in terms of children who don’t know and their ideas of things in the world are developing. There are certain this that I watched as a child that’s as an adult I probably wouldn’t let my children watch.
I watched a lot of Disney movies growing up and I turned out fine. The majority of people grew up watching these movies and they’re not possessed. Sometimes stories are just that, stories. Thinking that every rock on the earth has a demon hiding under it is also a form of superstition and that isn’t Biblical either. 🤷♀️
@N.⚡ I recently read dense texts for my History of Ethics class and one of Plato's works (with Socrates) mentioned that [society] should censor or carefully, thoughtfully choose which stories to tell children and that most of the stories now and then are lies. (Socrates and another character, Glaucon, also used myths and at one time a lie too to get across points, like Jesus used parables.)
I’m a Christian but grew up watching little mermaid and grew to love mermaids. I took my daughter to see tis movie because I felt it to be very special to have a Disney character that resembles African Americans. In hopes of inspiring my daughter to feel confident in her own skin. Growing up as a black girl , we did not have much of anyone to look up to that looked like us. Although I appreciate this breakdown and your biblical referencing. It just saddens me that yet a again the black community and Christians are targeted . We support this because of liberation in seeing a black Disney “ princess”. Now as a new mother of a small girl, Disney princesses will not be an idol in my home. I pray the the Christian black community can find spiritually healthy ways to inspire and bring confidence among them . As well as all races honestly ! All the Disney princesses become idols. And as I am explaining this God is redirecting my thoughts and heart the with the many scriptures to minister to my daughter. Again, thank you! It should never be about skin color. Teach your daughter to love Jesus, and she will love herself and her skin when she’s in love with Jesus. It’s sad everyone always has to bring up race. I didn’t care the first one was white, and I certainly don’t care this one is black, I know better now and would never allow my daughter to watch that or any Disney shows at this point. I pray that the Lord would revel these race issues in the hearts of his people, some don’t realize they have an issue. Pray about it, I’m not saying you, I’m just stating in general with people. If you were always a christian and have seen the movies and never felt anything bad about it, then it might not be bad at all, because the holy spirit would have probably let you know right away. I think perhaps people look too deep into it, I am sure there are evil water spirits but i don't think the little mermaid movie was intended to be evil or draw kids to it being disguised as evil. I am sure god will let you know for sure if its evil, but i personally think its just an innocent kids/ family movie. I never thought of it as evil, but when I watch these evangelists i have to admit it gets me paranoid and afraid to sleep at night because of the things he is saying. I currently saw this youtube video at 11:45 at night and i am hearing all kinds of noises in the hall and outside and am terrified but it has nothing to do with Disney mermaid, it's just what he is saying is scary the living crap out of me lol.

When l was a child in the fifties (born in the forties) l was appalled that there was a movie of a mermaid. I may have been in grammar school but l knew it was demonic. When l had my little girl (late in life) the Little Mermaid series began. l refused to get the toys and doll related to this. Ignorance or demonic influence on the part of Disney, l don't know. However, l saw many of their cartunes depiction of evil. I took my children out of a movie that the cartoon character yelled 'Dam you, dam you.' at another character. I didn't see the people in my church there, but Sunday they wanted to know why l left. They corrected me by saying, ' That's the world and the children hear it all the time.' I told them l didn't need to pay the world to curse into my children's ears. I got my money back before l left.

Btw in the Nordic countries we have a folk legend about a water spirit that’s a naked man who sits by lakes and creeks playing the violin, and that anyone who hears the music of his violin will get hypnotised and will walk straight into the water and drown themselves.

I used to ocean swim and was in HI and a big fish that normally bites swam up to me and kept trying to push me to the shore. Once i was in a safer area and it saw me begin swimming in it swam back out to the ocean. It was the biggest fish id ever seen swimming. Then once before the age of accountability my son was little and got stuck in seaweed and went under. He came running to shore panicked saying something lifted him above the water and saved him and it left like hands. He became a born again Christian at the age of his accountability and we're all Christians so I just think its weird. I had thought it was angel since it saved his life. But thats before i had learned the water verses in the Bible.
There was a part in The Little Mermaid where Ursula transforms into Vanessa as well as Vanessa being revealed as Ursula in disguise. Also, there was a part where Vanessa transforms back into Ursula, which is rather disturbing and staggering in and of itself.
I'm so confused. When I suffered from severe anxiety, the only time i felt peace was when I went to the beach and sat by the ocean. It felt like I could feel God's love and peace hitting me with each wave. The scripture says God's spirit hovered over the sea. I can feel the imprint of God's spirit when I go there so the ocean can not be all demonic. God's glory is definitely present in the seas.
Don’t be confused. He’s not saying the ocean or water is entirely bad and that Christians cannot enjoy going to the beach. Romans 1 speaks of how we can see God through His creation. When I was not saved, I watched the movie Woman on Top with Penelope Cruz, and if i remember correctly it was based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and there was great focus on a water spirit, a mermaid and there's a scene where the people offer gifts to the spirit by placing flowers and candles on the water, something like that. I was obsessed with H2O Just Add Water when I was 10-12 years old (anyone else maybe?). Now that I think about it, it's so clear to me that my adoration for the show was unhealthy to say the least. Parents unfortunetaly dismiss this kind of behaviour because it's "typical for kids this age". VERY INTERESTING… Ariel fell for the witches bait after being hurt and not heard by her father. The witch (the enemy) got her when she was vulnerable and with something she wanted! So this movie definitely painted a picture of how the enemy works. Like someone else commented, I can’t believe this stuff was (and is) so normal in our movies!! Jesus, give us wisdom and knowledge on what to watch and not watch! OH and Revelation 13 talks on how the antichrist will come from the sea! Interesting!!

I cant believe our parents did not bat an eye when they let us watch these creepy magical disney movies as kids. Literally 99% of them have to do with magic. And can we talk about how creepy is it that a girl falls in love with an animal in Beauty and the Beast? My babies have never watched these disney movies and im so glad i was awake before i had kids.
When you do not know God and don't understand how a dark spiritual realm is real, these movies and cartoons do not seem so evil at all. I was entertaining myself with them as a kid on a regular basis.
Yet now as a follower of Christ, I see evilness even in such a "basic childhood cartoons" as Tom and Jerry and Duffy Duck etc. All they show there is hard trolling, hatred and lots of violence and even that fact that no matter how badly they get hurt in these cartoons, their bodies always restore themselves to continue to get hurt more and more and more, this is what happens in hell, humans receive bodies that are constantly tortured but they are never damaged but keep restoring themselves to get more and more torture.
My people perish for a lack of knowledge, I picked it up when I was watching a cartoon with my son when the conversation between the characters quickly switched to demon possession and back to normalcy. It was so subtle, unfortunately I could not rewind the show

That movie is based on a true story. The beast was a real person who had a syndrome where hair grows like an animal. People alive today have this. It's really a sad story as the couple was kept as a freak show by a royal family.

As an African I don't take such things lightly because I've heard of many real life stories relating to the water spirit and growing up we were always told to never go swimming or do any form of activities in big water bodies such as rivers, lakes etc.. because of the water spirit. Many disney movies also ingrain in little girls the ideas of rebeliion (especially against the father), witchcraft, immodesty, and the idea that a man will make you happy. As a young girl I fell into all of these, i believe i was heavily influenced by Disney because it was almost all i was allowed to watch growing up. it wasn't until i had a conversion when i was 21 that i came to love God and myself and no longer needed all of those rebeliious ideas to have worth.

I feel so convicted right now! I’m even afraid I might have a marine spirit for 2 reasons: 1, I love mermaids. I have them all over my house. AND last year we went to an aquarium, and they had these huge killer whale statues that were hanging above the walk way, it was really neat. It made you feel as if you were in the water with them. So I took a pic underneath it, with my arms up in the air as I was trying to touch the whales. Then I posted the pic on my IG with the caption “In my past life I was a mermaid. I swam with the Orcas, played with the dolphins and friended the Great Whites”. I don’t believe that at all, I said it as a joke, but now I feel like my eyes are being opened. About a year ago, the Lord showed me mermaids are demons, my 4 year old daughter wanted to know more about mermaids because we found a lot of them at the local library, and I started feeling something was wrong with them, because the theme was ocean but the have more mermaids than any other sea creature, and that called my attention, even the books they were giving away had mermaids, unicorns, etc, and I asked the Lord about it and I found very good information about them, how the operate in Haiti, Africa, but the most important thing that came out to my mind was that the philistines had a god Dagon that has fallen on his face on the floor in front of the Ark of the Covenant the they captured from the Israelites, and years ago when I read Dagon was half “fish” half human, so I explained the best I could to my daughter and she immediately said she didn’t want to have mermaids in her life. Yes. We thank the Lord for the Africa Christian’s who taught us so much about the marine kingdom. I remember reading a book that was a revised version of the first book they published exposing the water kingdom and the evil female fallen angels who run it. The guy who revised it said the original author and the editors were in a straight battle with them. First they gave warning by erasing all the typing but then they started cursing. The author almost died and even had his writing hand paralyzed. His first editor also was almost killed by them. The second editor was robbed of almost all his possessions and others involved suffered as well. But also a important factor they mentioned in the book was Samson being defeated by them through Delilah and them working completely through Jezebel. And of course the marine kingdom holds Jezebels reign over Israel up like a trophy considering in the book of revelation they said she refused to repent.

Since mine was about that age, he could not understand why people celebrate Halloween and don’t see how dark it is. We would drive by some houses before and he would say: mama, why don’t you stop and TELL them. And when a neighbor gave a box of toys, he carefully went through and threw away most of the items because they had demonic looking things on them. There were a few things he still wanted like a sword, but came and talked to me about it wether it might be alright even though it had a scary demon face on it. We talked for a bit and he threw it away too. He still wonders how his neighbor did not mind buying such things for his children.

I loved the Little Mermaid as a child, so got the 1989 animated movie for my 5 year old daughter to watch.
Can you imagine my jaw drop when watching the evil sea witch convince Ariel that she will give her the desires of her heart, in exchange for her beautiful singing voice, and then produced an actual contract for her to sign in order to seal the deal - much like how we hear of artists selling their souls for fame and money.

I'm from Nigeria in West Africa. You're 100% correct. The name of my state is Akwa Ibom. So as you can see, it's literally water. Akwa in thus case means water. There are ceremonies where people will sleep beside the water for days and conjure up spirits, some of the demons they conjure can be seen with the naked eye, and they'll circle around the village at night with their occult members. No one was allowed to see them, unless you're a member of the cult. You dare not be found outside when they're dancing. You dare not. You even have to turn off all the lights in your home. Im in America and personally been dealing with the water kingdom through a spirit spouse. I believe you 100 percent about the terror the people deal with in that area since I learned about the water kingdom and what I was dealing with through African sources. These guys are the most stubborn demons and it’s a full blown spirit battle with them. They are indeed abusive and the nightmares are insane. They built a altar on my bed and I would have visions of rituals going on sometimes especially if I declare spiritual warfare. So God told me I have to sleep in the basement. He showed me everything in the spirit realm. I’ve met their queen who is a fallen angel and saw the spiritual prison I was in. I also see Satan quite a lot since he does stalk like a lion along with others who monitor me. I also have Gods angels check up on me on a regular bases and seen the power of Christ even though I wasn’t in the state of complete deliverance. He was merciful enough to give me a example of what he can do. They melted out of fear. No matter how close you are to God you can’t get through them without Christ.

My daughter was obsessed with a cartoon called "The Last Unicorn" and with dark stuff like "Interview with a Vampire." I will be frank. Her life did not end well.
There was little teaching about these influences in my small Baptist church when I was growing up. I never realized what bad things I was allowing into my daughter's life. Now these things surround the kids even more, and it is tough to avoid them.

You know I was into the politics behind the new mermaid movie. There were things I disagreed with, but after watching this video it made me realize that none of it matters. At the end of the day it’s all just another distraction from the fact that the movie overall is just demonic. Again, another reminder that we’re all focusing on he wrong things in the world and I’m glad this video just came up on my recommendation. Perry Stone wrote a book one many years ago where he references a story a friend told him about going scuba diving at the edge of the Bermuda Triangle. He only stayed under the water for a few minutes and refused to go back down because it sounded like the were giant chains moving around under the water.

Strange but true. I once took photos at the Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C and later saw that there was a ghost/specter of a mermaid like creature. Blurry and lacked details but was clear it was in the form of a mermaid humanoid female figure. Had brown hair, and a tail. No clothing. Fair Caucasian skin. Just blury very strange. It was photos of the USS Philadelphia (1776) with the cannons. Would love to go back to take more photos again to try to investigate more. Sadly lost the blue SIM card but was able to view the photos in my old Wii on the photo channel. Sadly gone. But Jesus and His angels are stronger!

In New York, after the covid lockdowns were lifted, the first big official public parade they had was a mermaid parade. They hold this parade annually to mark the start of Summer. Many people come out to this and all dress up as mermaids or mermen with great enthusiasm. Ngl, I used to like mermaids when I was little but now I think they're creepy. I wouldn't be surprised if they were real because we got all types of weird azz creatures swimming in the ocean and we haven't even discovered most of it. This made me think of the story in the Bible where Jesus delivered a man from demons and they asked Him if they could go into a herd of pigs, and Jesus permitted it, and they just ran off a cliff into water and drowned. I've always been stumped why they drove thier new hosts into water just to drown right away, but after watching this, it makes more sense. Interesting.
All that God does has a purpose. I was thinking about the millions of years and evolution fallacy and suddenly a name appeared in my mind: Legion. Why did Jesus treat Legion different than other demons, like asking their name and casting them into pigs? He was professing the future that we live in today! A future were many would believe in a lie that is MANY (millions, billions of years) as Legion was, would be as the pigs that went insane and threw themselves out of the cliff. I had a mermaid necklace that my aunt gifted me as a child. Everytime I wore the necklace the worst things would happen to me. After awhile I started correlating the bad events with me wearing the necklace. I stopped wearing the necklace and the bad luck stopped. When I start painting I allow the Holy spirit to guide me through, and I worship throughout. There is so much more for you that you get to experience through co creating with God. Through obedience to God and worship my art has seriously never been more extraordinary. I say this because my art shifted and got drastically better and I’m painting concepts that are outside the box/realm I was used to. I was also obsessed with mermaids and it hurts me too however I’d prefer to get rid of my mermaid accessories than live in spiritual bondage. Also, it’s not that they are NOW demonic. They’ve always been we’re just now finding out. This video gives biblical and historical/cultural backing. Demons and the demonic are real and they love to seem innocent and to be praised. I also love making characters and stories. I love make belief as well. However, i’ve found out mermaids are more than that. Ive lately been making characters based off of spiritual gifting in the Bible and everything has Biblical references/metaphors. It’s way more cooler and fun. Jesus is more needed in stories than mermaids. Those who read your comic will eventually die. Will the story you tell benefit them after they die as well? Will it enrich their lives by drawing them closer to Jesus? This is what truly matters and what is needed now. There are great books out there that are fantasy like but Christian. Example: Narnia and wingfeather saga. What makes them Christian is they show us aspects of Jesus without having to directly say His name. Jesus is shown through the aspects of sacrifice and redemption in these books.

I've seen from celebrities how the theme this year or how popular is getting are the ocean, sea, and sea creatures in Hollywood. Holy Spirit told me there's someone in charge in the water 🌊. I asked to show me more bc I dont get it why they are being weird and Pastor Vlad just said it! I love how Pastor Vlad ALWAYS gives us scriptures and evidence to show us "look its real." This is exactly what I have been saying, even with my last post on demonic activity and fictional writing (like with Dracula; how I wish they would make a verbatim version of the film...with its strong Christian tones) and how I wish there were more authors writing stories, tales...but flip the script to make these creatures shown in their true nature. How it be a fairy tale, yes, but give it Scriptural grounding. Make Christian stature and God Himself be the heroes of the story, not the demonic creatures. Return them to the truth of how they are spiritual beings, but also how the end of the tale is the overcoming of such realms through faith and Biblical actions. I would LOVE to see more movies like that.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that this movie, among many other movies Pastor Vlad assigns as demonic, is only a problem if you attach any spiritual weight on it. In 1 Corinthians 8, Paul addresses Christians who eat food sacrificed to idols as people with stronger faith, because they understand idol worship doesn't have any spiritual power. Christians do not live according to the Law, so we are free to do what we want as long as it doesn't cause other Christians to stumble and it doesn't corrupt your heart. I understand that mythology is fiction, and I can watch or read fiction without it bothering my heart. But if you think it has spiritual powers you are free to reject it from your life. If you are reading this, please let me know what you think.
Well, for those weak in faith (such as vast majority of impressionable children) it would be bad. Even for the strong it would probably be good only for distraction and reading the Bible would or history might be better. My opinion. I am on the fence between weak and strong or I don't realize I'm strong and think I am weak, so I should probably read fiction less and my Bible more
I’m gonna agree with this, but say that this is correct thinking in terms of children who don’t know and their ideas of things in the world are developing. There are certain this that I watched as a child that’s as an adult I probably wouldn’t let my children watch.
I watched a lot of Disney movies growing up and I turned out fine. The majority of people grew up watching these movies and they’re not possessed. Sometimes stories are just that, stories. Thinking that every rock on the earth has a demon hiding under it is also a form of superstition and that isn’t Biblical either. 🤷♀️

I’m a Christian but grew up watching little mermaid and grew to love mermaids. I took my daughter to see tis movie because I felt it to be very special to have a Disney character that resembles African Americans. In hopes of inspiring my daughter to feel confident in her own skin. Growing up as a black girl , we did not have much of anyone to look up to that looked like us.

We support this because of liberation in seeing a black Disney “ princess”. Now as a new mother of a small girl, Disney princesses will not be an idol in my home. It should never be about skin color. Teach your daughter to love Jesus, and she will love herself and her skin when she’s in love with Jesus. It’s sad everyone always has to bring up race. I didn’t care the first one was white, and I certainly don’t care this one is black, I know better now and would never allow my daughter to watch that or any Disney shows at this point.

If you were always a christian and have seen the movies and never felt anything bad about it, then it might not be bad at all, because the holy spirit would have probably let you know right away. I think perhaps people look too deep into it, I am sure there are evil water spirits but i don't think the little mermaid movie was intended to be evil or draw kids to it being disguised as evil. I am sure god will let you know for sure if its evil, but i personally think its just an innocent kids/ family movie. I never thought of it as evil, but when I watch these evangelists i have to admit it gets me paranoid and afraid to sleep at night because of the things he is saying. When l was a child in the fifties (born in the forties) l was appalled that there was a movie of a mermaid. I may have been in grammar school but l knew it was demonic. When l had my little girl (late in life) the Little Mermaid series began. l refused to get the toys and doll related to this. Ignorance or demonic influence on the part of Disney, l don't know. However, l saw many of their cartunes depiction of evil. I took my children out of a movie that the cartoon character yelled 'Dam you, dam you.' at another character. I didn't see the people in my church there, but Sunday they wanted to know why l left. They corrected me by saying, ' That's the world and the children hear it all the time.' I told them l didn't need to pay the world to curse into my children's ears. I got my money back before l left.

It was a happy part of my childhood, and even went to Disney Land when I was 8. After I became more spiritually aware, all those cartoons and fantasy shows I loved started to repulse me.

I used to ocean swim and was in HI and a big fish that normally bites swam up to me and kept trying to push me to the shore. Once i was in a safer area and it saw me begin swimming in it swam back out to the ocean. It was the biggest fish id ever seen swimming. Then once before the age of accountability my son was little and got stuck in seaweed and went under. He came running to shore panicked saying something lifted him above the water and saved him and it left like hands. He became a born again Christian at the age of his accountability and we're all Christians so I just think its weird. I had thought it was angel since it saved his life. But thats before i had learned the water verses in the Bible.

There was a part in The Little Mermaid where Ursula transforms into Vanessa as well as Vanessa being revealed as Ursula in disguise. Also, there was a part where Vanessa transforms back into Ursula, which is rather disturbing and staggering in and of itself.
I'm so confused. When I suffered from severe anxiety, the only time i felt peace was when I went to the beach and sat by the ocean. It felt like I could feel God's love and peace hitting me with each wave. The scripture says God's spirit hovered over the sea. I can feel the imprint of God's spirit when I go there so the ocean can not be all demonic. God's glory is definitely present in the seas.
God’s creation is beautiful and good. I also love the beach because being close to nature is therapeutic.
Don’t be confused. He’s not saying the ocean or water is entirely bad and that Christians cannot enjoy going to the beach. Romans 1 speaks of how we can see God through His creation. Pastor Vlad is teaching on spirits in the water as it pertains to mermaids and how other cultures sought these entities for prosperity and even fertility. We can admire creation, see and feel Gods presence through creation but we are only to worship the Creator.
So go to the ocean. Nothing wrong with enjoying the beach. God made it. Just don’t worship anything other than Him!

I have always known mermaids are in some way evil.
The strange thing is the other day i dreamt that i could see a mermaid that was eating what looked like a small body maybe a child and when it moved to where i could see it more clearly it had part of her stomach carved out into the shape of a giant eye.

Yes, when Satan was kicked out from the kingdom of heaven, he lost his right side, right arm and right eye. He was at the left side of God in the kingdom and that side rebelled with the third of the angels. So, the right side of the kingdom of God stayed loyal and righteous to God but the left side rebelled. When I was not saved, I watched the movie Woman on Top with Penelope Cruz, and if i remember correctly it was based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and there was great focus on a water spirit, a mermaid and there's a scene where the people offer gifts to the spirit by placing flowers and candles on the water, something like that. Then my kids have watched the kid movie Rio and it shows the people doing the same thing. This idol worship is all throughout these movies.
