Plus the two wing backs who will be forward when attacking, but the three CB's can cover if they get caught in possession and can't get back in time. A few things I have to see for Saturday is Trippier or Foden not on the left, it isn't working. Both want to cut in field all the time, that is easy to defend. Plus I think its criminal that Trent, our best creative asset is not in this side. Play him in his natual RB position and he will thrive. This new formation would be a risk, but it is a risk we need to take as it's not clicking, and a few tweaks here and there won't make it click.
I know Foden has been great this season, but this System isn't doing him any favours, he loves playing on the right, being able to cut in and pass inside on his left foot, hence why he constantly drifts into the center leaving trippier needing to get further forward to provide width on the left, personally i would start Gordon on the left, he has legs and can run all game which is what we need, perhaps have Foden on the bench as a sub for Bellingham if we need to take him off, that way Foden can play as a number 10
I've said all along England should have brought Livramento, he understands angles much better than the other right footed LB options. Hes also extremely athletic and dynamic for a fullback. Even Lewis Hall wouldve been a good option to have but maybe too early for him
Livramento would be picked for any top 5 national team. But Southgate believes in “blooding” players despite their acumen. Absolutely backwards and ridiculous
The team just isn't gelling, which can only really be down to the manager at this point. The talent within the team is undeniable. Go back to basics, remember to hold and give, but do it at the right time, you can be slow or fast, but you must get to the line, they'll always hit you and hurt you, defend and attack, there's only one way to beat them, get 'round the back. Come on England!
It's been a problem with the left side since the first game so why hasn't Southgate done something. We do need a left winger like Gorden Maino is a must to start Kane hasn't played that wall and keeps dropping deep. Eze Palmer & Tony looked good let's hope he does make changes.
The biggest problem we have is that our back four are doing too much passing to each other. If they cut that out and a rule was made. If it doesn’t work the first time hit it long we would be way more dangerous. When we get it forward we look dangerous but we never get it forward we have the defenders pass it round the back till everyone’s bored to death. That’s why rice and maino come soo deep to get it. Even Foden and Bellingham had to come back because Walker wants to keep it between him stones and trippier. Teams are still scared of us but we keep the ball in our weakest point AT THE BACK. We’re defensively so fragile but there the ones keeping the ball
Excellent video. There will be changes I am sure for Saturday. I think England will beat the Swiss. Also quiz needs to improve. The Sommer question was confusing and Southgate has taken charge of 99 games not 100. The Switzerland take is his 100th. Great achievement. People expecting a little of Palmer. A bit too much in my opinion. Still a great option to bring in. Gordon needs to be involved more.
Not an England fan whatsoever but confused why Palmer has to start when he didn’t actually bring much vs Slovakia. Yes he is always direct but it was almost to a fault in this game. He wasn’t doing anything with it and lost the ball too much. Saka’s been the best of the front three all tournament so don’t see him being dropped for Palmer at all
The way Bellingham held onto the ball and ran into men over and over again, I’d love to see him dropped to 8 move foden inside Gordon on the left and Toney up top. If we’re realistic Gareth will make no changes but Kane is definitely holding this team back the most
Everyone is saying “Palmer has to start…” and neglect to mention one reason he should start. What did Palmer do exactly? Eze came on and had a bigger impact. When Palmer came on all that happened was they started feeding the ball to the right side repeatedly. But when Saka plays there they never feed him that much
Am I the only on at 88 minutes who still believed we'd somehow turn it around? I've seen enough 93 minute goals to know it was possible. I didn't anticipate the 2nd goal though, thought it would be a stand off until pens.
I said from day 1 Toney should start, if you want to play as a team and have a striker back into defenders and open spaces for others. If he plays for a top team he will perform
I don't know why you are looking forward to the team selection Ben, other than enforced changes there won't be any. It'll be the same again and we'll get taken apart by a better team!
They want to see Cole Palmer do he’s shivering cold gimmick soo badly 😂😂😂 he was awful last match spamming crosses hitting the first defender this palmer obsession is pathetic
seconds away from exiting the euros and still sitting on unused subs is criminal. i'm almost mad that we're through cuz hearing Southgate speak as if his decisions were vindicated is absolutely infuriating.
Would love to know Watson's & Ben's views on Pickford - seemingly on multiple occasions refusing a short pass to keep the ball and hoofing it upfront to Kane who loses the header 9/10 and we lose the ball and this creates pressure. its winds me up beyond belief.
we need right footed players on the right and left footed players on the left (Foden doesn't count as he always wants to go through the centre). we run down the wing and ALWAYS cut back in. defenders can see this. no one runs to the by line to cross the 6 yard box. there's never anything threatening as we always play backwards.
We need to be more direct. 1 shot on target and it came in the 95th minute. It's an obvious fact but if you don't get shots on target you will not score. The first time we were direct, we scored. I can just foresee Southgate will go back to his trusted back 5 for Switzerland with Guehi out.
No idea why everyone is slating trips so much, he’s arguably had 2 games that were better than Walker. He isn’t a natural left back and Foden spends much of his time in the centre of the pitch reducing the width and the chance for Trippier to spread it wide. Trippier also had 10 assists in the prem this year and the majority of them came from crosses even though he missed nearly half a season. Not sure what you lads watch but I think a little more critical analysis would work wonders rather than the same blanket statements every game.
Sunday was an absolute horror show. Just like the previous 3 games and the Iceland game before the tournament. So 5 horror performances in a row and the bookies still have us as favourites. 😂 Make it make sense! 😂
Maybe I missed it, but did they even mention Mainoo? The bar wasn't high, but he was easily the best player on the pitch until he was subbed off. My brother is an Arsenal fan and he was defending Mainoo more than Saka and Rice because he was actually trying to make things happen rather than only passing sideways and backwards. Give the young lad his flowers.
Southgate is like that guy at the casino who's got absolutely no idea what he's doing but somehow manages to clunk his way through some wins only to lose it all in the end
2:39 - he was trying to tell that to his friends in the crowd with his hand gestures, and that's gonna cost him, he's being dragged up before UEFA for it!
Front three of gordon/toney/bowen would see a major difference in transition but we’re talking about Southgate and England FA. The part that strikes me most is that english pundits all over raving about u dont need to play well to win. What must gone into Luke Shaw mind when Saka played at left back before Zinedine Bellingham bicycle kick.
I'm waiting for the English team to huddle up in the center circle before the next match begins and say to each other, "screw these tactics--let's go win this one properly." I would pay money--good hard earned money--to see that.
I like cole palmer , he’s looked good when he’s come on but look at when he’s been subbed on. Late into the game when the opposition defenders are tired. I think he should play but I can’t see who he starts over, foden? Coke palmer cannot play on the left though.
no one has brought up the obvious. 2x in injury time all Slovakia had do do was run it to the corner flag, instead they played an inside pass and giveaway. Even once, and Lord Jude (soon) doesn't get on the bike.
All Southgate has to do is change formation, to a 4-3-3,,,he has the players with the talent to do damage in games ,but he uses this formation to defend and he smothers the life , talent out of the group of players, , the performances have shown him his tactics are not working ,,, it's the individual talent of players that have got us this far in the competition not his management or tactics or formation,,,,,, So why doesn't he change , for me the reason is because he doesn't want to lose , he sets the team up to not to lose instead of trying to win ,,,,, now against the swiss we will be given a hard test , and I think we will put in a good performance, and everyone will forget about these bad games , games we should hav won anyway even the knockout games have gone in our favour
Thats my point brother....why are these people overhyping pal,er despite him doing nothing great in last two sub appeearance.....2o min cameo was ok but that sub appearance agaisnt slovakia was poor

Did Ben just say trippier doesn't whip balls into the box?
I was on fire on this weeks quiz holy moly
How is Kyle Walker that fast yet he doesn’t run past Saka, I simply don’t get it. He’s so pedestrian.
He's getting old. He used to be so good for England but he's not been to that level this tournament
Palmer was woeful, gave the ball away constantly and provided no threat
always subbed on late when the game is getting away from us and expected to do something; anyone who’s watched him this season knows how good he is
@@hedakom he came on in the 66th minute.. the game went on for 120. he lost the ball 12 times. stop glazing
@@zondas11 yeah the 66th minute by which time all sense of composure was lost and the team were playing on pure vibes.
Whole thing was a frenzy.
Really enjoyed watching love it
Boys! We need an emergency vlog about that Gunok save for Turkey. Let's hear your analysis!
If we’re realistic Gareth will make no changes but Kane is definitely holding this team back the most
what happened to Joe Gomez who literally plays LB...
Everyone is saying “Palmer has to start…” and neglect to mention one reason he should start. What did Palmer do exactly? Eze came on and had a bigger impact. When Palmer came on all that happened was they started feeding the ball to the right side repeatedly. But when Saka plays there they never feed him that much
They gave reasons
24:00
He’s unpredictable and he scares the opposition.
Am I the only on at 88 minutes who still believed we'd somehow turn it around? I've seen enough 93 minute goals to know it was possible. I didn't anticipate the 2nd goal though, thought it would be a stand off until pens.
Watto was amazing in the quiz 🔥
we’re HERE to say we’re waiting for the Turkey save analysis
I said from day 1 Toney should start, if you want to play as a team and have a striker back into defenders and open spaces for others. If he plays for a top team he will perform
I saw you on TV when you were at the Denmark game
I don't know why you are looking forward to the team selection Ben, other than enforced changes there won't be any. It'll be the same again and we'll get taken apart by a better team!
Sommer is inter milan lol not ac Milan
England should’ve brought the Crystal Palace or even the Ipswich left back. International football is more like championship than top flight anyway
They want to see Cole Palmer do he’s shivering cold gimmick soo badly 😂😂😂 he was awful last match spamming crosses hitting the first defender this palmer obsession is pathetic
seconds away from exiting the euros and still sitting on unused subs is criminal. i'm almost mad that we're through cuz hearing Southgate speak as if his decisions were vindicated is absolutely infuriating.
he’s delusional
16:30 you summed up why Southgate has to be sacked. We score 1 goal and he parks the bus.
That was torture
When does the football start
When winning by a goal, the team just defends. Nothing learnt after blowing it against Italy.
Would love to know Watson's & Ben's views on Pickford - seemingly on multiple occasions refusing a short pass to keep the ball and hoofing it upfront to Kane who loses the header 9/10 and we lose the ball and this creates pressure. its winds me up beyond belief.
They've spoken about him doing it in previous matches during this tournament.
we need right footed players on the right and left footed players on the left (Foden doesn't count as he always wants to go through the centre). we run down the wing and ALWAYS cut back in. defenders can see this. no one runs to the by line to cross the 6 yard box. there's never anything threatening as we always play backwards.
We need to be more direct. 1 shot on target and it came in the 95th minute. It's an obvious fact but if you don't get shots on target you will not score. The first time we were direct, we scored. I can just foresee Southgate will go back to his trusted back 5 for Switzerland with Guehi out.
Just watch him pick Foden again against Switzerland
I just don't get the Palmer shouts. Didn't beat a single man, lost the ball 12 times and was just spamming crosses?
first game he came on he was amazing. the game yesterday when he was brought on was a frenzy, for everybody.
Bench Kane, stick Toney or Palmer up top instead.
Amen
Southgate is like that guy at the casino who's got absolutely no idea what he's doing but somehow manages to clunk his way through some wins only to lose it all in the end
😂
wins two spins in a row and thinks he has a system to beat roulette
2:39 - he was trying to tell that to his friends in the crowd with his hand gestures, and that's gonna cost him, he's being dragged up before UEFA for it!
Front three of gordon/toney/bowen would see a major difference in transition but we’re talking about Southgate and England FA. The part that strikes me most is that english pundits all over raving about u dont need to play well to win. What must gone into Luke Shaw mind when Saka played at left back before Zinedine Bellingham bicycle kick.
Sorry Ben given up with your pods recently. Always 2 days late.
Palmer
Your a charmer
There’s no one
Who is calmer
His name is Cole
He scores a goal
He’s Englands
Sword and armour
There’s ya song!!
11:40 that’s why we have to start Trent over walker.
Yann Sommer does play for Inter Milan 32:16
Thing is do you start palmer over saka on the rw ?
We're gonna get schooled by the Swiss,we've never had such an underqualified manager.
In form Trippier gets up and down all game for NUFC and crosses and assists more than any other player.
As a right back.
1-0 down in the 95th minute, to 2-1 up in the 93rd minute 😀
Ben trying to convince us Switzerland is a club 😅😅
I'm waiting for the English team to huddle up in the center circle before the next match begins and say to each other, "screw these tactics--let's go win this one properly." I would pay money--good hard earned money--to see that.
That huddle isn't going to make a left footed LB appear so it's not really going matter.
At least give Southgate credit for playing Mainoo for 80 minutes
I like cole palmer , he’s looked good when he’s come on but look at when he’s been subbed on. Late into the game when the opposition defenders are tired. I think he should play but I can’t see who he starts over, foden? Coke palmer cannot play on the left though.
nice talk guys, but you know he will pick the same team when possible 😂
no one has brought up the obvious. 2x in injury time all Slovakia had do do was run it to the corner flag, instead they played an inside pass and giveaway. Even once, and Lord Jude (soon) doesn't get on the bike.
23:00 - Palmer can also score GOALS
Highest-scoring Englishman in the PL
Not if you take his pens off. Watkins nor Foden take pens for their clubs so unfair comparison.
@@Deomnibusdubitandum274
Regardless of how many, or where he finished in the Golden Boot table… he still scores goals
@@asteve4914 he can, but so can others we have. I am responding to your final point.
Watkins, Saka, Foden, Bellingham can all score goals.
People acting like trippier hasn't played full back his whole career 🤔
Palmer didnt impress me at all. He put in 2 ok crosses and then lost the ball 3 times in a row. He didnt take his man on once. What are we doing here?
Weird obsession with Palmer
Tell us you don't ball...
Thats my point brother....why are these people overhyping pal,er despite him doing nothing great in last two sub appeearance.....2o min cameo was ok but that sub appearance agaisnt slovakia was poor
Bowen has done more than Palmer but neither should start
The difference was he didn't pass it backwards. Got the ball and head up and attempted something. He helped change the pace. Stats don't show you that
Switzerland FC😂😂😂
It’s national team, Ben
