This is actually the version I heard first :P still love it.
The words go so well for me and how I felt about someone that it does hurt still to this day when I were so close with her, I feel like it's lost time and happiness, life uh it kicks you down. Now this song's is just amazing and it makes me think of that special someone back then. Cascada is a good singer, does some good tunes.

What I love about this version is sometimes in pain, you can try to run away from the pain, so the quick pace actually relates to how I sometimes deal with my emotions. I imagine myself going on a brisk walk to this during something lol
I feel like this version also works in the upbeat style. With the country one being more somber, this one makes it seem like they’ve accepted what has happened.

I'd have to agree with you 100%. The change in the beat and the faster pace does add a different feeling to the song. Makes it sound more positive and more confident. 🤷🤷

The real version is actually written by Jeffrey Steele, who wrote it in memory of his son who passed away at the age of 13. He wrote the song for rascall flatts, you should look up his version though, straight from the heart
I read that he originally wrote it in memory of his father, but then decided to make the song about lost love.

Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and mine is that I love this version. I love the beats and Natalie's voice. When you remake a song, I didn't know it had to be exactly like the original... damn it's not even that bad. Cascada made a slower candlelight mix, look that one up!

Why do people always get so upset about covers? A cover is not a bad thing, it is actually a compliment. It's saying your song resonated with me in such a way, I would like to sing it myself. Cascada has many of her own songs and many other covers, it's what she does. There is no sensible argument that would say it is a bad thing to cover other songs.

I was already into dance music well would say from 2003 around 18. and I heard Cascada pretty early on, and got there first few albums and I agree they did break through, if they would of broke through when steams and RUclips views they would of charted even more. and the videos and music are standing the test of time, great beats great harmony it helps having a beautiful girl lead but she can sing and not many dance acts have a credible 10 tracks or more that are really good and like

I like both versions, I like cascada beat that's just me but you may like rascal flatts beat, nothing to argue about. Everybody expresses their emotions in their own unique way. Her beat is like get up and continue, even tho it can still hurt deeply inside, Its motivation I've always been a fan of cascada. ""Everytime we touch" and evacuate the dance floor". Rascal flatts sang it in his own unique way, and Cascada sang it in her own unique way. Nobody is better than the other. I love Rascal Flatts and Cascadas version. No nobody ruined the son it's what type of music you like to listen to pop or country, so I like both of them very well.. I listen to Rascal flatts music and cascadas. It's just amazing that they can sing it in their own way.
