In case there's any confusion the old school Yu-Gi-Oh player won the match the counter trap used inflicted damage back of his opponent so they're the only ones who took a major hit
If you can't target the opponent card, at least you can still target their battle damage
and I'm sure the enemy close the game and not gonna play for a week . . . or maybe uninstall the game after this happen

Do you know why did infinite impermanence not negate dimensional wall ? It was in the same column.
@@limyuxuan1272 Because the Punk trap negated nurse's effects instead. Impermanence needs to fully resolve (negate the monster effect it's targetting) so the column negation aplies.

some ppl may wonder why the imperm column is not negated. this is because the target is no longer on the field during resolution.
here are the cases where imperm column will NOT occur:
- played directly from hand
- the imperm is no longer on field during resolution
- the target's effect is NOT negated (by leaving the field, by immunity, etc.) during resolution
- target's effect is already negated (thanks guys)
it seems like the other punk card negated nurse first, and i guess imperm couldn't negate an already negated card, so it didn't resolve properly, meaning it didn't get the column.
Actually, the reason is not that the target was no longer on the field, but that "Joruri-P.U.N.K. Dangerous Gabu" had already negated Darklord Nurse Reficule before it resolved. A card whose effects are negated for whatever reason cannot have its effect negated again, so Infinite Impermanence doesn't end up negating anything. And because Imperm didn't do the first part of its effect, it also fails to negate Spells/Traps in that column.
Old school Yu-Gi-Oh versus new-school Yu-Gi-Oh is the region equivalent of machine gun vs. Bazooka old school Yu-Gi-Oh have more power but new school Yu-Gi-Oh has much more speed in the past I once summoned great maju garzett with 10000 attack points while people these days struggle with getting a 5000-point beater on-field
I remember doing the same with old school (pre-Hyperion) Agents. Gain some life points, burn your opponent a bit, then summon Mars (Agent of Force). Bonus points if you had an Honest (or three).

Yesterday someone spent a good 5 minutes+ setting up their field with monsters & negates; on my turn I played dark ruler no more & lightning storm. Unfortunately then they just summoned again from the graveyard.
