One day I will have all the skills to knit one of your shawls. These technique videos are really great and helpful for when I do attempt one of your patterns. Thank you.
Amazing! You are so fun and have the best attitude! I look forward to your videos and I even make my sister watch your videos...she's not even a knitter 🤗
I LOVE your creativity. I just sit back and get lost in your diverse styles and hope that one day I will have the knowledge to create and not be fearful of makings mistakes. You are one of a kind AMAZING :)
I have tried to knit but always too much tension (have to settle for crochet) but I love hearing you talk about your work. You make fascinating designs and I think you must have a very mathematical brain, which might have been equally at home in engineering or architecture, for example. But like me you are also fascinated by colour and flexibility, which I can see clearly by the amazing colourways and interesting axes of drape you create in your pieces, flowing surprisingly in all sorts of directions like novel mixtures of solid and liquid. Your demos of how to wear the shawls are totally daft fun but also an exploration of the different qualities of drape and flow. This video was especially nice from that point of view, as the wrapped double/triple yarn overs are crucial in sending the drape off in another direction, adding another dimension to the whole kaleidoscope of effects you are creating. This is also further facilitated by the finer gauge yarns and the relaxed tension all good knitters can maintain (aaaaaaarghhhhhhh....oh the frustration!) And don't even get me started on the textural aspects. Yummy! Anyway, just really wanted to say - fab stuff, love it!
@@hydraxisfrimon9785 You are welcome. Just find what is comfortable in how u hold your yarn and your your fingers will finally figure it out. I have to say I am amazed how it now is so easy for me. A word of caution, as a glass of wine, being tired, or getting into an argument will effect your tension. Ha.
Thanks for making my knitting life way, way better. Love how you make every type of stitch seem so simple. So, so happy dance happy that youtube recommended you.
Thank You For This Video,. It Has Been A Super Help,. I Always Have A Fit With Yarn Over's,. And Seem To Lose My Stitches,.. This Has Been So Helpful,.. I Always Seem To Drop Stitches And Had To Rip My Stitches Out.... To Start All Over,.. ,😁😊👍☺️ Your So creative and talented...
Thank you Stephen! Absolutely STUNNING! I am going to make the “holiest of holy 😇 ” double and triple yarn over shawl! Now I only have to pick which pattern😬 For me, that is the hardest part! Choosing the yarn is also difficult because I have so much🤦♀️. My mood changes day to day, and that will affect my color selection. Good thing your patterns have a lot of changes in the stitches to keep it fresh and exciting for me 🤗
thanks so much for this little lesson ! you have very beautiful works, you're the king of color :))))) I don't know if what I'm telling you in English is really English (I'm french and I don't speak english very well) ??? but what I'm trying to say is that you make knitting an art!
I am a big fan of your work and use of colorful yarn. I like colors, it can't be colorful enough for me. you give people the feeling that everything is possible and nothing is wrong even if you make a mistake a mistake just doesn't exist for you and that gives people courage. And you stimulate people to just do what is possible and nothing is strange. I love it.
I love your videos bc you make me feel empowered as a knitter! Can you do one on dropping stitches or dropped yarn overs? I’m wanting to do Zoolandia (because I love a single-special/skein moment) but I’m stuck on the instructions about drop 2 p2 so I’m a bit intimidated. Ooh and maybe one on a picot bind-off too?
I love how you empower people to be inventive, and not get hung up on little mistakes.

I didn’t think I would ever get my tension either, but I knit a baby’s blanket and after that, I really had it figured out.
@@carblarson8868 I must have another go then, I admire knitting too much not to get in sussed out. Thanks for the encouragement!

I love all your shawls but I think they are beyond my skill level Is there one you would recommend for a beginner
I recommend just going for it. It’s how you learn and the instructions are always well written and you can always ask for help on sites like ravelry.
