CORRECTION: The elemental bonus of the created cursed weapon WILL BE THE SAME as the elemental of the sacrificed character, it is not random anymore like in the PSP version!
Im guessing the ideal way to make the most powerful cursed weapons is to wait until you get the ogre blade, use a generic warrior that lvled as a mage class to body swap to a lvl 3 character, recruit or kill the warrior to get the ogre blade back, lvl up your new lvl 3 character as a mage and repeat process until you are 999 in MND and INT, then finally level up as a Warrior or Wizard depending on what hp or mp you want to prioritize to 50 and do the snapdragon of the chosen element since it is not random anymore to produce the strongest Cursed weapons.
@@fordusfiresoulThere is a cap for every stat, that being 999, but when you body-swap, INT and MND of the swapping character are added to the "fresh recruit" and keep increasing as you lvl up the character again. So, while nearly impossible to get 999 in any other stat (you would need an ungodly ammount of charms), getting to 999 in INT and MND isnt that hard, as long as you have the patience to do the body-swap and leveling process a few times (about 4-5 times should cap It with ease)
Back on the ps1 the best thing to do was to either recruit or make one character a ghost, train it to max lv then use a spell to turn it back to human lv 1 and train again to get absurd status on the weapons XD
I guess the benefit of producing a cursed cudgel is for the negligible weight which decreases RT? For example, a lich would be faster if equiped with a cursed cudgel and if they need mana, just pop off a fruit of the adept thhen next turn go life force.
This is the best technique, but considering that items that recover MP cannot be bought in the shop and are very scarce, in some battles you won't be able to do this anymore. It can be useful in specific battles.
Reading the stat growth rates for the different classes I thought it was fairly important to have units in appropriate classes. I made Cistina a warrior(I didn’t know about Shaman) and her mag/mnd stat were much worse compared to Sherri, who was a warlock. Olivia (priest) was also a fair bit weaker than Sherri. (Maybe Sherri just has amazing base stats). Between melee classes it is quite negligible admittedly however special classes like Vartan, buccaneer etc were a bit better for strength/dex growths. Warrior being one of the best overall for levelling among the basic classes. (It was my first playthrough, didn’t know about Elemental temples until everyone was max lvl if anyone was wondering)
Special characters have different attributes, but you will hardly use them to make cursed weapons, when we are talking about normal recruitables (in Reborn, in the original game it's another story) it doesn't make a difference the class in the end in terms of attributes
I'm surprised this video released as I got my first cursed weapon. Now I know to hold off till Lv. 50 before I start. Never done a cursed weapon so this was great, Warren Report!
One thing I noticed is the only class that can become a Songstress is the Pumpkinhead Familiar. If you're going to sacrifice a unit to make the cursed instrument, you'll want to recruit a pumpkinhead (Wizard skill Control Golem) to sacrifice, assuming you're making the cursed instrument for Iuria Wolph. recruitable Pumpkinheads are in early levels of Palace of the Dead. Boogeyman can't be recruited later in PotD.
You're right. Apparently they changed it from the PSP version which was random, I'll drop a note about that in the comment, thanks for letting me know!
Has anyone tried using the Ogre Blade + World trick to transfer stats of a level 50 character into a low level unit, then level them back up to 50 repeatedly? I'm wondering if then sacrificing a massively pumped up generic into a cursed weapon would grant insane stats.
That plus 49 would make all your ninja, rune fencer, and if on a dagger, casters happy. Plus 49 is a lot for secondary casters. Lord and princess can also get a lot out of plus 49.
Thanks for this vid! I remember in the PSP version it would be the most painstakingly process in getting the max damage/benefit for the cursed weapon by taking the sacrificial generic and going through countless battles in order to get the collect the right attribute cards from fallen enemies. It sounds like this will be a lot less labor intensive relatively speaking. So getting a generic with the appropriate class leveled to 50 would be the max potential damage for the cursed weapon? And have you compared said cursed weapon with some of the other end game unique weapons, just curious. Love the info regardless!
This is the simplest process. You can also give status charms and food to make the character stronger, but in my opinion it's not that advantageous, since they are rare items and the weapon's formula divides the attributes by 20 to calculate the bonuses. I prefer CODA 4 boss weapons because of the skills they have
Yes, the Firecrest (or any other equipped item) will be consumed when creating the cursed weapon. You can go back again in the fight with Blackmoor to drop another one EDIT: Firecrest automatically returns to your inventory after the process
Divine Knights have an extremely long and complex method of creating them...the easiest way to get them is by recruiting one directly from battles in the San Bronsa Ruins. In terms of status, it doesn't matter what class you are when you gain a level. The only thing that will change accordingly will be HP and MP. For as much HP as possible: level up as a warrior or knight. For as many MP as possible: cleric or wizard. For a balance between these two: rune fencer or ninja.
i really dont like the ai for casters most of the time they run up and smack enemys with a cugel or book only to be countered for triple damage i know they get their mp restored by 10 per attack but thats just stupid,i put it on distant striker so they stay back but they dont.
So in theory, If I wanted to make a Dark Elemental cursed weapon. Even if you change their elemental affinity to Dark. It's still up to RNG depending on the Class you used to merge with the weapon?
It was random in the PSP version. I just confirmed that in Reborn the element of the created weapon will be the same as the element of the sacrificed character. So if you want a dark weapon, sacrifice a dark element character
Finally managed to nab a copy of each cursed weapon. I know it is a complex question but when it comes to element and type of damage, which one is usually better for each weapon? Concerned with wasting them as they are so hard to come by
I'm not an expert on Reborn's gameplay mechanics, I believe you can find that answer there on the Coffee Pottato channel. Anyway, I don't use the cursed weapons in my gameplay, I prefer the weapons of the DK or the Heavenly Generals ones.
Como esse jogo não tem um GOTY ? 445 horas de game e aqui estou eu, Aprendendo mais e mais! Mas já fiz o palace of the dead umas 4 vezes, eu nunca dropei um cursed weapon, é muito difícil de dropar mesmo?

Would using the Cursed Cudgel be worth it if you did a soul swap with a low level unit? Since the Int would transfer to the new Unit. But then you'd likely lose the mana and range from the other mage weapons.
@@WarrenReport thats funny cause my warren report is a mess cause i used the jump points after i hit coda 1 to go farm wing boots had to redo the whole palace thing and the main npc dragoon died along the way of the first playthrough so im just going to use him as fodder for a cursed wepon and re pick him up after i farm for the rest of the cursed wepons
@@WarrenReportgiving units charms will greatly increase the power of the weapon. The higher the stat the more of that stat will carry over. The video gives the impression that leveling matters at all which isn’t the case unless your maxing with the ogre blade. The rest of the video was pretty good. I’ll likely use it a reference later.
@@Jraffles It doesn't make much sense to give status charms to the character that will be sacrificed because the way the formula works you will lose a lot (STR and DEX are worth 0.3 points for the attack, HP and MP is divided by 10 and most other stats are divided by 20). It is much more effective to place the status charms on the character that will be using the cursed weapon created as the main weapon, taking advantage of these extra points much more.
@@WarrenReport You are correct about the stats. But the stats are not completely wasted because you can pass the "super weapon" around to other party members making them powerful. but i agree it is a waste.
In my opinion, no, because the possible status bonus that a non-generic character has is very diluted in the calculation formula ( /20). The ideal is to use a generic to make the weapon for a unique to use
