Profondo original makes people around me sneeze....it has this very sharp metallic smell and strong insence smell. I prefer the new 2024 profondo edp where they tone it down abit and made it smoother
Same I bought it but it was too annoying and harsh and the drydown was just like the original smell from 1996. I had to sell it cause it couldn’t stand it.
I thought it was only my nose I ordered a sample thanks god I didn’t buy the whole profondo bottle…. They should also make the gio Parfum a little bit more sweet or citrusy just a little because is not lasting almost nothing I think they just making profit selling regular quality in different name bottles Instead of creating another boom to the masses honestly people will stop buying once they realize that the quality is not what they spec 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ honestly if they come out with something premium like when they used to make the classic one back in the days probably they will make billions instead of millions 🤷🏻♂️😏

You nailed the description of them and I find the new flanker to be the more mature version although I still love the og and Profondo Lights is great as well. The magnetic cap is back with the parfum version

I'm hearing different things about this. Heard they are taking away the mineral note in the edp and heard they ain't
$100 for no longevity and zero radiation isn't good. Industry disrespecting the customers. I miss early 2000's.

I don't think the new EDP is a flanked. I'm pretty sure it's just their 2024 version/replacement.

Which one is fresher?
The original Profondo would do this thing where it smelled amazing on scent strip, but on skin it would get this wacky smell the was reminiscent of washing your clothes and then forgetting to put them in the dryer overnight and when you go to move them they have this wet rag smell. Not sure if it was a seaweed note or some of the mineral notes, but I got through about 1/3 of my original Profondo bottle before I sold it to a friend for like $40. I now have the new Profondo 2024 and it does not do that, but I still get everything I did like from the original Profondo. Armani made a smart move in re-releasing and making adjustments here. Respect to Armani for listening to their customers.
It’s funny you say this because I got a 100% reverse effect. On a strip I swear it smells like sewer and on skin it smells incredible to me haha crazy how different noses can be. I like both. I do feel like the OG is slightly more mature because of the deeper marine and metallic scents, but I wear Profondo the most out of everything I own and have the original and new one that I rotate through and my wife immediately smelled the difference in the new one the first time I wore it and preferred it

In my opinion the ADG parfum smells exactly like the first Absolu
I got the original and it isn’t very strong at range only people can smell it when they’re right by me bit rubbish
I have been feeling the same about it , i suspected that it was fake but all my inspections were that it is original ( maybe it doesnt suit me )
I got the Profondo from Sephora .. last week .. 2 minutes performance.. i return it back and ask the sales lady to try it on her hand .. not even a minute!!

The same thing happened to me, but it's happening to all of the new fragrances being manufactured in 2024. Apparently the fragrance companies are being forced by law to remove performance enhancing ingredients that have been identified as carcinogens and linked to cancer. So there's no point in buying new fragrances anymore since they perform so poorly now and are essentially a waste of money.
@@dualityofman1253I think there are sometimes restrictions, but mainly they want to increase their profits by using lower quality ingredients.
I go noseblind to profondo quick! Then 6 to 9 hours later i get huge whiphs and like damn it was strong all day lol. And i work in the sun all day. I have the first batch though. 2018? Or 2020 i forgot but its beast.
Opening was soapy for some reason... Reminded me a bit of the new invictus but more aquatic ofcourse
I got the new bottle and it said the batch was from 2023 is the reformulation only on 2024 batches? Or do all the new bottles have the new juice?
All, 2023 is the earliest batches but did not release publicly until 2024 so some early bottles will have 23 batch code
How's the performance of 2023?
edp needs at least 10 sprays to notice it , too weak projection..

The cure for the profondo dilemma is Chrome Extreme.
I was just about to say that, similar vibes and cheaper in the grey market.
@@Bleek17Six Profondo is my favorite marine frag, one time I ordered Chrome Extreme and It's not even close, way more synthetic and less quality than ADG, nothing can beat Profondo. There is no clone of ADG that has the same feel and smell, ADG is one of the best frags for a reason.

I have a 2024 version and it smells great, especially for summer but the longevity and projection are just awful. After 30-45 min. its not even a skin scent, its simply gone

Overspray it after 10 -12 sprays it lasts about 4 hours on my skin

Pov, you search youtube fir the difference, first guy mehdi scents says they are exactly the same its just rebottled, second video gent scents says the new one is sweeter fresher and less green and without the egg smell, i spray my og profondo sample on card to compare to the new edp i got today in store, i notice the original is all sorts of green aromatic strange and not very nice yet but its just the opening, i smell what i can smell of the new one and its sweeter and fresher and just nicer overall so far, i come back on youtube and decide to watch one more, and now this guy is saying pretty much the opposite of gent scents so now im just like 2 of these guys are wrong and soon i will know who lol

This is hard to find in the US. I got a decant. I believe the new EDP is replacing the original, which is also an EDP. Armani is on a reformulation tear!
The Profundo Parfum is at discounters, oddly.
The discontinued Absolu and EDP are my favorites.
Edp is def the loudest the first 2 hours, in this line. I love the parfum but the amount of compliments I have got for edp is crazy. On my skin anyway
