  • Tram services in Germany are normally "less frequent" on Sundays, with trams coming once every 30 minutes or every hour. In smaller towns it's replaced with bus services. Today was a big exception due to the match between England and Serbia, and it was also the first EURO 2024 match held in Gelsenkirchen. I could spot some double tractions in action and more interestingly, the yellow Ruhrbahn trams from the City of Essen carrying passengers to Schalke. The Essen trams usually terminate at Gelsenkirchen Hauptbahnhof and never come up to this section of the track.
