That is awesome, thank you for your nice comment. We struggled to find anything useful so hoped our video would help others and it is so nice that it has.
Thanks for the video! I'm renting a Mustang convertible for a 10 day vacation driving around Arizona and New Mexico. You've definitely answered a question I've had.
This video is a life saver! I booked a rental for this car for a family trip and had an alarming afterthought that it may not fit luggage in the trunk with the roof down. This video was exactly what II needed. Thanks!!!
To those who wonder about hard shell bags: The narrow space in the back is around 20 cm. So its possible to fit 4 x standard hard case cabin bags (55x40x20 cm) in the trunk.
Its way better than I thought! I could get a couple carry ons in there honestly thats plenty of space This video might have just sold me on the convertible
Thank you, i had no idea that kind of suitcase even existed - before you picked them up i thought they were huge rucksacks! That's a very impressive amount of stuff to get in the trunk!
Was literally looking for this video for ages, we rented a Camaro convertible last year and as you mentioned the boot space was attrocious, luckily we packed light and our only large bag beside our carry on packs was a expedition Rab Duffel bag which we managed to pack down flat under the actual roof, had it not been for that we would have really struggled. Looking forward to having a Mustang this year and not having to play luggage tetris at every stop! Thanks for the upload!
Also the mustang was such a sweet ride, we were sad to give it up at the end of our holiday. But one tip, ask for one with navigation built in. The one they gave us did not have it so we used Google Maps which was perfectly fine but then our data ran out and the maps locked out right at a critical time.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. My husband always wanted to rent a convertible for one of our vacations and I just booked one as a surprise but was worried our luggage wouldn't fit. this just put my mind at ease.
The Mustang convertible's trunk and top down storage design is definitely superior to the convertible Camaro. We rented a Camaro for vacation and most of our luggage ended up in the back seats so we could still put the top down! Very good video!
Cheers for the comment. When we tried to find reference videos before our trip it was difficult to find the information which gave us the idea to do this video for others.
Thank you for uploading this! If possible, could you please post the dimensions of your bigger bags for reference? We will be hiring a mustang similar to yours and are a little concerned our luggage won’t fit. Thanks in advance! :)
Hi, the measurements are 720mm High x 400mm Wide x 300mm Deep at base. these measurements are the hard back plate and base plate. the soft material on all other sides enabled flexible expansion and contraction and we were able to fit just as much as in our slightly bigger hard cases that we left at home.
Mustang convertible...................one of the most popular rental cars. Now the USA is full of them for sale due to the crash in vacation travel. Nicely done video. When travel resumes the rental agencies are going to have to scramble to replace all the Mustang convertibles they got rid of. The Camaro convertible is not practical as a rental (or owner) if you travel with a lot of luggage, camping gear, or more than 2 people. Making anyone over 4 ft tall get in the back seat of a Camaro or Mustang is cruel and unusual punishment. I'm sure this will help many travelers, especially to know to use soft luggage, pack light, and do not rent a Camaro convertible! 🙂 PS: I own a 2019 Mustang EcoBoost convertible with a 6 speed manual transmission....something you cannot rent, or hardly find. For rental use the automatic is the best choice. Hope you can come back to USA soon. The 2021 Mustang convertible will be the same as the 2019 you rented. Cheers
Very interesting, I was wondering what the COVID impact would be on these rentals. I bought a 2019 Mustang after the trip and love it. Thanks for your comment, greatly appreciated.
@@milliondollarfo2os Where do you live? Which model of Mustang did you buy? What is the current cost of gasoline where you are? Do you use 87 octane of higher? Since the back seat is so useless I'm planning on removing mine and putting in some flat panels with carpeting, to use it for stashing my camping gear. I also ordered weather resistant floor mats and a trunk mat, polycotton seat covers, and the Redline hood (bonnet) gas struts to replace the strut rod. I'm not messing with the engine to try to boost power, it is fine the way it is and plenty easy to get a speeding ticket.
You have no idea how much your video helped our family.. Thank You!!

Nice video, considering one myself only concern is golf bag storage for me and my dad but this helped a lot. Hope your holiday was fun!
This is really useful as I could not find any proper info on Mustang bootspace for our intended trip to the US. many thanks

Thank you very helpful.
So needed to see this right now! I just rented one for our family of 4 in Hawaii. Has anyone rented this with 4 passengers?
How did it go? Wondering if we should do this or a jeep for our family of 4. How did everyone fit?

@@milliondollarfo2os Thanks, Allan! This has been a massive help :)
@@milliondollarfo2os can you sent the brand and model you used
Nice Video, but what is the size of the two duffles?
I really liked the luggage you had. What brand is it.
That’s all from High Sierra
So I must assume that two standard large 32 inch x 19 inch x 15 inch rolling bags will fit beside one another in the convertible trunk ?
Great video. Good looking duffels. Are the big ones the 28" or the 32"? Thanks!
They are 32"
Cool, man
Thank You so much good man. Big deal braker in buying for me
Thanks a ton! 🙂
Thanks mate
Well done. Can you refer the back vendor or url where to get those bags. I‘m looking for the two big ones and the two smaller ones.
thank you that was a help
Thanks for the video! Any link to a similar luggage set
Shame about the sound as you can’t hear what his saying but the visual was helpful
Not sure what the problem is? I checked on 3 devices and sound is good.
