In Australia you should have tried an Hawaiian pizza. Ham ,pineapple, cheese and tomato paste (not sauce). Pizza shop bought or homemade.. not prepackaged - too little topping on cardboard!

A quick way to rise your dough in cool ambient temps is to pre-heat your oven to about 40-50c then turn off oven. Cover dough as normal, wrap a tea-towel around bowl and place in oven.
Your oven should keep temp to 30c or so for an hour.
    1) One of my home made Pizzas is: Base sauce (tomato paste, small amount of water, salt, pepper, 1 clove fresh garlic, thickened cream, 1 tsp sugar)
A dried herb mix sprinkled on base sauce, then in order - Mozzarella clumps spaced apart, onion, green or red capsicum, sliced tomato, calabrese or hot hungarian salami, cheddar cheese, sprinkled chili flakes, bbq sauce on top. Sometimes I have bacon cut into roughly inch x inch squares mixed in with the cheddar cheese.
    2) Pineapple is great on a pizza.
    3) Homemade all day but some pizza places do make a really good pizza.

In australia we get "anchovette" peck's paste with salmon and anchovy. Mum used to give us fish paste sangers as kids. It is great for adding flavour on pizza and in soups etc. All the best.

Tomato paste, fish paste with creamed corn, ham, salami, mushies, capsicum and mozzarella. I like this on hot dog buns cut in half, giving a wide surface, in the 80s, these were called pizza subs. Do you guys get round wraps around 3mm thick? I put 2 on a papered pizza tray, they can be glued together with cheese, the bottom one goes crisp, top one can get a bit soggy. If I have extra hot chook i chunk it and freeze until needed. Put bbq sauce on the wraps, chunks of cicken and mozzrella and bake. The other one with wraps is basil pesto, a small can pink salmon drained (cats love salmon juice) broken up and spread out, a few cherry bocconcini, sliced or broken up. If you have more hot dog buns, cut 1" thick disks, using a bottle of minced garlic and teaspoon, spread on one side, add thinly sliced mushroom, broken up is good, it doesn't all come off at once, top with mozzarella and bake. I get a lot of recipes from Kim McCosker at 4-ingredients, online from queensland. Personlly I i'm not a fan of pineapple on pizza, a lot of people love Hawaiian pizza. All the best.

Hi Rob, I was going to go to your "watch-a-long" of Fremantle and the Dogs tonight, but I had too much work to take care of. Instead, I watched this video.
I loved your attempt of making pizza, I would do the dough differently, but you do you. Toppings are personal taste. As for the pineapple question ... I love pineapple and enjoy it on some pizzas, but some pizzas I wouldn't want pineapple on. Looking at your pizzas, I would have pineapple on there, just for some freshness (and what do you mean you don't like green stuff on pizza? A bit of fresh basil would have lifted those pizzas to another level).
This is a really fun video. It shows how real and down to Earth both you and Charlie are. I like that.
I love that you are making preparations for your holiday down here in Australia. I don't know if you have given this any thought, but are you having any "catch ups" with subscribers along the way? I'm sure many would love meeting you both.
It sounds like your arrival is coming soon. So, no matter where you go, and what adventures you have planned, I truly hope you and Charlie have a wonderful time here in Australia.

So you're getting everything ready to go to Australia, well that would take a bit of arranging. Well you two are travelling to the other side of the world. I'm starting to get ready for my long awaited trip to Brisy (Brisbane) on Friday. But I live in The Atherton Tablelands, Far North Queensland which is up a Mountain Range behind Cairns where I fly out of. I moved up here when I 13, having born in Brisy and living there until then. I love living up here in the mountains ⛰, some English Tourists even say it looks a bit like rural England. But I'm somewhere between a City and a Country Girl. If I don't have what I call a Sanity Trip to Brisy every one or two years, I get a bit uptight. I was over due for one before Covid hit, but even planning for my trip has been helping. I not so much as counting the days, it more "What am I doing today?" to get ready.

I like raw Mushrooms 🍄in a salad. I'm the opposite to Rob when it comes to Olives I only really like them with something. Our family likes a good Cheese Board with a couple of different cheeses🧀, Kabana Sausage, Grapes 🍇, Water Crackers🍘 and Olives etc. A few years ago I decided to try putting a Pitted Sicilian Olive and Brie Cheese 🧀 on one of my Water Crackers 🍘. I loved it and even introduced that combination to some other people at a party, whom seemed to have liked it. We don't really seem to make our own Pizzas 🍕. Some of our cousins who live locally have a proper Pizza Over. If given a choice we prefer to buy ours from a shop in the town that's about a 15 minute drive away. It owned by an Italian Family and the Pizzas 🎨 are made by the Loving Hands of a real Italian Momma. They can cost up to $20, but they're about the same size as you see in American TV Shows and Movies with more toppings. Personally My favourite Pizza is the Spinach and Prawn ones they make. Supreme with Pineapple and Meatlovers are pretty good too. I'm starting another comment.

  • @Greg....
    @Greg.... 2 года назад

Nothing wrong with pineapple on a pizza if it offsets something. I love going too hard with olives on pizza, but i personally need the pineapple to offset it to make it edible. If its say bbq sauce base, honey leg ham and whatever else, its sweet enough. If that makes sense.
I think my favourite pizza isnt one i make myself, dont have the time for the ingredients to do at home. But my local italian joint does the mash and gravy pizza. So pizza base, mash potato on that, gravy on that, cheese, meats then more cheese. Sounds grot but its very good.
Rob, i still reckon as they're cheap, a rotisserie kit on your bbq for doing roast beef, lamb, pork, chicken or whatever wont be a bad investment.

Love pineapple on a pizza, love raw mushrooms, love onion, capsicum and pepperoni....also definitely love beetroot on a hamburger ..ok threw that in for good measure 😂😋... if you want to cheat or a filling fast snack, buy Lebanese bread. Spread your favourite tomato type paste, you can cheat with tomato sauce even. Sprinkle a bit of cheese on first, it stops ingredients going for a slide on most pizzas. Then add your toppings and cover in cheese. An added bonus is drizzle in zig zags some sweet chilli sauce across the top...yum !...Put in a hot oven, not as hot as for thick pizzas but watch it as it doesn't take long. It comes out thin and crispy. Also I've found the more toppings of wetter ingredients like tomato, pineapple etc the soggier a pizza becomes. So be mindful of not being too heavy handed with any ingredients on any pizza.. Put in oven longer and bake more than blast and voila ! ...
Lebanese bread makes a thin and crispy no mess pizza when you couldn't be bothered making dough... 🤗🙆‍♀️ try it !
