Yet another brilliant video full of excellent content, eloquent narration, beautiful cinematography and best of all, striking the balance between caravan and surroundings. I've said it before and I'll say it again, why Swift are not inviting you to become an official ambassador for the Basecamp is beyond me.
Fabulous vlog. Once again your cinematography is outstanding and love the narrative you put together too. It strikes me that the Isle of Man is very much overlooked by most of us and clearly it shouldn’t be! Thanks for taking us on your adventure and opening our eyes to what the Isle of Man has to offer 👍
Thank you for that awesome feedback. The Isle of Man is outrageously stunning. We only scrapped the surface during our stay. So much more to see and do. I want to move there now!
Great video yet again Nick. I’ve been to the island a couple of times to watch the TT. Your vlog has brought home to me how much I haven’t seen so will be adding a trip to the list. Looking forward to your next adventure. Thanks for sharing this one. Video work was excellent as per usual.
Thank you for yet another top notch vlog! I’ve been a subscriber for about a year now and love watching your basecamp adventures ! You make it look so professional ! Always enjoy and look forward to your vlogs and I have to say that ‘the dog’ is the star of the show ❤
That looks like a Tractive gps on your dog’s collar. A brilliant device I’d recommend to anyone with a dog. I’ll be visiting the NEC show this October from Ireland to view the Basecamp myself… can’t decide between the 2 or 3. The proper mattress of the 3 is definitely a nice addition though. Either way, I think Swift will be taking my money 😂
Yes the Tractive tracker is brilliant. I’ve only had to use it once to find my dog after she disappeared on Walla Cragg in the Lake District. That day the subscription was worth every penny. The three is a nice design although I llove sitting on the bench seats enjoying the views through the infinity window. In the BC3, the window is to the back of the seat. Something to consider. Good luck at the NEC. It’s an impressive show it has to be said.
It was amazing and one of our best adventures so far. You have to apply for a tow permit from the Manx government. apply online and they send you the permit within 24 hours. You need to attach a provisional ferry time and a provisional booking from a campsite. We plan to go back again this year as we only explored a small corner of the island. So much more to see.
Brillant review mate. Excellent for anyone concidering a small or compact caravan. Also video and audio are technically top notch. Got to check out your channel 👍
Wonderful video and beautifully filmed and produced. You had wonderful weather! Looks like another place to add to our list of camping destinations ……thank you for all your efforts
Thanks Martin. I was a semi professional photographer prior to the dreaded year of 2020 and lost all my clients over night. I used to shoot food for the hospitality industry. I now apply those photographic skills to my vlogs for fun. I really enjoy making the videos so it’s great they are appreciated.
Superb vlog Nick the Isle of Man looks amazing. You certainly cracked it with the weather. Stunning scenery. Really enjoyed that vlog mate 👍🏻 We’re going toGlenNevis next weekend for a week going on the Jacobite steam train.
Thanks John. We dropped unbelievably lucky with the weather. I think now that three washouts earn a good weather window😂. I would love to do the Jacobite Train. It was sold out when we where there. Have fun in Glen Nevis. Its amazing in all weathers.
I trace my ancestry back to the Isle of Man, back in the early 1700s GreatGreat^N Grandpa migrated to the United States, and settled in Tennessee. They were farmers. I'd like to go over there, before I die, maybe check out the TT race, perhaps even do a little bit of paragliding there is a paragliding Club on the island.
@@lizcox8379 it’s called Outdoor Active. I subscribe to the PRO level to unlock all the features I use for planing and navigation. Costs about £30 ish per year.
Thanks for a great video 😀. We are looking at TVs for our Basecamp and noticed in this video you had a Sharp rather than the Avtex you had before -which do you prefer?
Thanks for your comment. I’ve always had the Sharp TV. Never had the Avtex. The Sharp is perfect. Large 24” 4K screen with Netflix and Prime etc. Easily connects to my phone as the WIFI hotspot.
It all depends on so many different factors. Expect to pay anywhere between £20 to £45 per night on average with some sites charging as much £55 per night.
I was under the impression that touring caravans are not allowed in the IoM, with the only exception being for the duration of the TT Races. When did this change ?
You said about not enough space with the Basecamp with awning on have had many issues with this before? We getting a Basecamp 6 new one of remaining stock and a rva2 awning, do you think we going to have trouble on site with being to long?
No I’ve not had this issue before. The camp grounds on the Isle of Man are not set up for caravans like the mainland. They cater more for campers and motorhomes. Most mainland hard standing pitches are more than big enough. Sometimes to big. The BC6 with the RVA2 is a long outfit. Some sites may struggle to accommodate that length but we’ve had no issues with our set up. Have a look at the Westfield Lynx 200 awning. A good alternative as a smaller porch.
What a fantastically idyllic stay, thanks for taking us along too.

Great to see you back with another video 👍 Looked a great trip, ive thought about doing a trip to IoM a lot but havent quite made it yet 😉
It’s worth the effort. Next year we are planning on going back for a fortnight. There is just so much to see and do.

Thanks Ian😊. We only scratched the surface in this trip. So much more to discover.

And you surpass your quality standards yet again. If film making isn't your vocation (is it ?) you've missed it 😊

Every Stewart Holiday has wind and rain so I’m expecting nothing less this trip 😂😂
Ok, 30 seconds in and I want to see the dog. Love the videos, love doggie more. 😊
Clear and precise feedback🐾🐾🐾❤️
Excellent video as always. Now I'm waiting for the Isle of Wight one!
Lol! Thanks. I’m not actually planning a trip to the Isle of Wight at the moment. I’ll have to go and do some reading now😂
Haha no, just amazing how many people get those two Islands mixed up when they are so far apart!

I’ve got separate content for the flight over Peel castle which I was use at a later date

Can I ask what app you use to sort your hikes please. Love all your videos. Thanks.

Thank you 😀 - apologies I thought I’d seen the Avtex previously in your videos. I’ll have a look at the Sharp ones 😀
Excellent video. I'm just wondering which walking app you use?
It’s called Outdoor Active😊👍🏻
Thanks for that.
Just a thought we're just looking to get into caravaning. What sort of prices are we looking at paying in the average camp sites, thanks Paul & Jo
