OFF is a game created by Mortis Ghost and Unproductive Fun Time, using the RPG Maker 2003 software.

Actually, the text on the February 11 calender says, "Zacharie is the best guy I know. He's my friend." It's up to you whether or not that actually means anything.
I love Enoch before he turned... errr how do I say it? Weird? I don't know. Before he went 'weird' he was so awesome. And a good baker too
For me, every person was brilliant before events of the game. Especially Dedan and Enoch. I love how they are opposites of themselves in the game.

@@corvidaesapiens I heard that Dedan might have Mad cow disease, since he says that he was bitten by one, which would explain his change in behavior.
As for Enoch, maybe he got addicted to sugar?

Well spot. Although by looking at the Picture folder of the game, it seems like it says something like "Zacharie is the best guy/ u (?) know, he is so sympathetic/ it's a friend", but it's still hard to make out.
The others say something along "Nobody will read this/ it is stupid, but it looks like/ it is real text", and "A day like any other/ Nothing to say short this sunday/ It's all".

I actually started sobbing, at this part of the game, and I eventually had a full on panic attack.
It's weird....
Guess this is a smidgen intense on the ol emotional endurance.
Enoch's still a tad bit creepy...even though he isn't insane before he turned.

+Unknown 44 I Believe Carolina is referring to the VERY slowed down version of Endless Hallway that plays when you meet him stuck in The Room.
Hey guys did ya know that Enoch's talk is actually Mortis Ghost's voice slowed down?
"This is only the beginning, it can only get better from now on." made me genuinely start crying.

Jokes aside, it's kind of odd how there seems to have been some sort of apocalypse before the events of the game but was never elaborated on what happened exactly. Very interesting.

For those who don't get it, here's my take on what The Room means for the lore:
The world basically ended. The vast majority of life, including humans, were killed off. Only a handful of humans and animals survived to the aftermath. Among these survivors was Hugo, an abandoned human child with incredible psychic powers. But unlike other video game psychics (i.e. Ness or Psycho Mantis), Hugo is way too young to properly understand his abilities. He can't use them to fight.
In the harsh wastelands of the aftermath, Hugo was so desperate for a family that he created two intelligent constructs from the nearby soil and sand to take the role of his parents - The Queen as Hugo's mother, and The Batter as Hugo's father. The Queen and The Batter probably took care of Hugo well enough at first, but then they looked to the ruined world around them and met the few remaining survivors.
Hugo eventually befriended three of these survivors: Dedan the industrial farmer, Japhet the royal bird, and Enoch the capitalist producer. Dedan, Japhet and Enoch were all decent people who genuinely wanted to rebuild the ruined world into a better place. Then, they all found out that Hugo could use his incredible power to give energy to people around him, and Hugo gave part of that power to The Queen. She then assigned Dedan, Japhet and Enoch as the three Guardians and distributed that powerful energy to them. Along with this power, the three of them were assigned rulership of their own Zone that Hugo cleared with his power. There were two additional Guardians: Hugo had created The Room as his own personal hideaway, and the Judge was a cat who survived the end and befriended Hugo to be given Zone 0.
For a short while, things were okay. The Judge allowed remaining humans (Zacharie, Sucre) to stay in Zone 0, Dedan built industries for the world's vital elements in Zone 1, Japhet formed a safe kingdom in Zone 2, and Enoch created a sugar company in Zone 3. Hugo was still too young to rule himself, so The Queen took over as the sovereign ruler who spread Hugo's powerful energy to the Guardians. The Batter was either an unofficial "king", or The Batter was the Guardian of the Nothingness. To replace the dead human population, the Elsens were created to be the new intelligent workforce of the new world, populating Zones 1 - 3 under the reign of Dedan, Japhet and Enoch.
Nobody noticed that they were all starting to neglect Hugo more and more as they focused on the crushing responsibility of ruling a new world. Leaving Hugo alone in the subconsciously-created maze of The Room, just like he was alone before.
*_And then everything went downhill, followed by the invasion of the Spectres._*
From there, The Batter snapped and... the rest is the game's history.

All of this is proper creepy. Not Witch House level RPGMaker horror, but I still find it supremely unnerving.
Then theres the Boxxer segment which juss got me proper confused and amused.
I personally thought the boxer segment was spooky on its own (the art style with boxer looking scarily skinny and bat man's face AND the theme of no happy ending because the boxer continues to fight the endless clones of batmen)

not trying to spoil anything, but that first calendar you look at looks like it says "Zacharie is the badguy" and then i cant make out the rest. strangley thats the only pixelated words on any of the calendars that i could make out.
I think it says "Zacharie is the best guy"
Apparently on one of the OFF wikis, the words say;
"Zacharie is the best guy."
"I know, he is so sympathetic."
"He's a friend."
