Stayed there last year, very nice place , clear sea, beautiful little harbour, enjoyed walking around the harbour walls in the evening when it was quieter
Thank you Sarah and Andrew, beautiful Mevagissey. Have only ever been there two or three times. I think with my parents and later on in life with my husband. Thank you.⛵💕
How quickly half an hour passes when walking through the beautiful city with you. We love the narrow winding streets and with their houses. In addition, there are the beautiful shots of the harbor with the colorful ships and the turquoise water. What I absolutely love are the two women fishing at the harbour, you don't see that in Germany. Thank you for the wonderful video and the half hour holiday in Cornwall. Best regards, Gunter
Love these virtual walks, just like being there in person. How Fore St. has remained two way traffic is beyond me ! And so many dogs on such a hot day.
Totally agree about Fore Street!! I think a lot of tourists bring their dogs when they are camping, so of course they have to bring them on day trips too! Hopefully they let them have a good swim to cool off, Sarah :)
Like your video , we stayed at st Ives in Cornwall for weeks holiday last year in June and spent time visiting this beautiful Cornish village while on our stay and loved it .we are visiting Cornwall for weeks holiday again this coming end of June beginning of July and will surely be visiting mevagissey again
So look forward to this Friday treat ~ this time a gorgeous walk around Mevagissey! Love the way the street pattern and placement of those pretty & quirky cottages seems to have developed organically ~ some virtually attached to the rock. It's impressive how Andrew manages to maintain such a steady-cam image, even in the town centre with so many people (& cars) coming straight at him. It makes me chuckle every time when you suddenly appear with a beaming smile after Andrew seems to have lost you.
I was keenly taking photos of the pretty scenes, the wonderful reflections and quaint little cottage, as you say, built on the bedrock! Amazing! Sarah :)
Hi Sarah and Andrew, these walks make me feel like I’m doing the walks myself. Thank you for sharing such lovely streets…nothing compared to my neck of the woods. So refreshing and green! Take good care Ana 🌹
While I missed your witty banter and history tidbits on this one, it was great to just soak up the atmosphere of this charming seaport town. It seems what they say is true: if you own a boat, you will always be working on it, LOL. Hopefully Cornwall is faring better than London with this horrible heat wave. We are used to those temperatures here, and CalFire has air support with fire retardant drops and water tankers, but it is still scary. Stay safe and cool!
I hope that your wild fires are more under control. We have had a wild fire burning on a cliffside in Devon for two months now. It keeps re-igniting in the dense undergrowth despite sea water being dropped on it! We are heading for another 10 days of dry weather, and hosepipe bans coming into force as water reserves start to run low! An extraordinary summer! Sarah
Loads of happy memories there for me...still don't live far from Mevagissey but don't get to see it enough really 😁💝🌅. Thanks so much for the virtual tour around guys and hope you enjoyed it too 🙏👌😘
What a gorgeous video. A view with every step and around every corner. A perfect day to film - not too busy and just right for sun, wonderful as usual.
The place speaks for itself! Wonderful to see folk happy on holiday! The old smuggler in me made note of the views of the harbor and wee coves where tabak and brandy could be discreetly landed. Aargh!
I have been there a few years ago. I stayed at St. Austel pitty about the ads. I counted at least 4. Never the less nice video and thank you. I watch you every week.
Beautiful village and a lovely day for a walk. I really like your virtual walks because I can hear the noises in the village. I'm sure you both are use to hearing the seagulls, but to me they really stand out in the background. Love this villiage. I will watch this video again while I exercise in my house. Thanks so much for sharing your lives with us.💕
What a fantastic walk. Lots of small side streets that are so serene. Some nice uphill stretches with very few people, which appeals to me. Found the whole walk so relaxing. Thank you Andrew and Sarah. Another way to get away safely, whilst confined to the house because our shielding never ends.
Brings back memories! In 2014 rented one of those houses at the very top of the hill. Beautiful views into the Harbour. Unfortunately it rained most days ☹ but it was still nice. Long walks up and down into town! Hello from Virginia! Lovely video!
What a lovely walk we know it well but we come in winter so this was lovely to see … you should end with a cream tea in Tea Cup Cafe the best scones in Cornwall
I thought you were actually going on a virtual SAIL Sarah instead of a virtual walk at 4.04!!! Awe inspiring views and impossibly narrow streets (If anyone is thinking of driving a car round Mevagissey I think that 12.45 to approx 14.04 on the vid should change their minds!!). I see you managed to lose your husband Sarah :-))..... finally catching up with him down by the lighthouse! But you missed all the lovely views from the top! There's a really nice pasty shop in Mevagissey (I'm sure Andrew will have taken a detour in there on this walk!). And I loved the knitted Jubilee bits and bobs alongside the harbourside. Fab vid as always x J x
Hello Sarah and Andrew, just wondering is it really difficult for Andrew to keep quiet? 😄 Never been here, looks like you take your life in your hands dodging the traffic on those narrow roads.Really enjoyed this video as always Thank you.
And now, as I looked at this excitingly coloured annual in the barber's shop, I saw something that gave me almost a physical blow of painful excitement. One of the pictures was signed, in bold red paint at the bottom right-hand corner, with my own name - Pentecost. I sucked in my breath hard and the magazine trembled in my hand. It could not be - but it was. Kitto Pentecost. The line printed underneath let the thing beyond doubt. "The Fishing Fleet at Mevagissey. By Kitto Pentecost, R.A."
Thanks for the video. I liked this place but I prefer Mousehole much better. I miss your speaking about the place and watching you eat treats. Perfect day for a walk though.
Love walking around Mevagissey and watching you guys doing it but you should go to The Fisherman's Chippy for those world famous fish and chips makes me hungry half a world away in Australia.... St Dennis is our home villàge
When I've been to Cornwall I've visited a few times but never enjoyed it. The vibe isn't there and fairly cramped. I do however understand its appeal to others. I love Cornwall but of all the places I've been to to have a wander around etc this is my least favourite.

Oh Yes,wonderful filming.Like I have just had a beautiful day out. As a very old man I can't get to do this any more so thank you. More please.
There are many videos like this, without chatting, on our channel! Falmouth, St Ives, Kynance. Sarah :)
Nice one guys, thank you again for yet another brilliant video.
You're welcome! Sarah :)

Thank Ana, We are not so green at the moment with such a dry summer! Sarah :)

You are fortunate indeed to be close to such a lovely stretch of our Cornish coast! Sarah :)

I think we are used to the seagulls! I like hearing the snippets of conversation and making up the rest! Perfect for exercise! Sarah :)

Oh my goodness the houses are so cute. I can’t help but wonder about the inside.
Beautiful ❤❤

He can be quiet if necessary!! And driving through Mevagissey is a not for the nervous driver! Sarah :)
Beautiful! If you can ever do a walk that takes in Porthpean my wife would be grateful! xx
Maybe one day! Sarah :)

Hi, this is probably the best vid I have seen of Mevagissey, thank you. What kit did you use?
Thanks for the video. I liked this place but I prefer Mousehole much better. I miss your speaking about the place and watching you eat treats. Perfect day for a walk though.
Sometimes we need an easier video to make and edit! Sarah :)
@@CornishWalkingTrails Of course. Enjoy life!
Great video....who was the bloke with the ladder in the sea with an electric grinder grinding his boat, so much for H&S lol!
Don’t know, never seen him before.
That made us wonder if he would be ok, never seen that arrangement before! Slightly mad! Sarah :)
Love walking around Mevagissey and watching you guys doing it but you should go to The Fisherman's Chippy for those world famous fish and chips makes me hungry half a world away in Australia.... St Dennis is our home villàge
Pasties, f&c and ice creams have all been sampled! Rest assured! Sarah :)
Used to go regulatory to the Portuguese restaurant there run by Sue and Antonio. How I miss that.
