HI THERE Thomas, I have an OEM Apple watch SS link bracelet (today out of warranty). One of the two closing pins (buttons) has jumped off and did not broke off from the butterfly clasp. It seems you are very handy and smart with this , and since you own one too, i would like to ask if you have a solution or would like to make an video about the demontage of this. - To understand more about it. Apple told me they can't do anything about it , even while i was willing to pay for the repair. They only replace it under warranty. Or sometimes repair it. Would love to hear your side of this , With kind regards.
Hi, I've also had problems with genuine Apple bracelet. In my case the links began to come apart. This is from wearing of the steel links. The springs have also come detached from the links. I like the bracelet style and the machining is impressive but it seems to delicate for daily use. Especially if you work with you hands all day. Maybe I'll do a follow-up video.
Yes. The one purchase at the Apple Store has that laser etched inside the clasp. The clone did not have those markings. I'm not sure if other clones have the markings. Hope this helps.
You're right. It looks really good. I was impressed with the looks of the bracelet. But it broke within a few hours of wearing the watch. Ultimately I'm totally okay with spending the extra money on the Apple bracelet.
Weird, I got the 3rd gen one, without the buttons to detach/attach that make it 1:1. It's been solid for the last 2+ years. I had one small issue with the clasp but it was fixed easily and never occured again.
I don't want to make the seller public since they have been fair so far. Although I'm still dealing with the return more than a month later. Can I send you a private message with the link? I'm guessing almost all the online sellers of these bracelet clones have the same supplier. I really recommend just spending the cash and getting a real one. It's worth the piece of mind.
You are correct! HD would've be better. The visual details are subtle and they really make the difference. Upload times with my connection are terrible, so I didn't do HD.

@@tthomashardie please. 🙏
The link quality is poor, and when the final link which is attached to the watch itself goes you need to buy a new strap…
did you say that if the link bracelt has the (42mm 316L Stainless steel) on the butterfly clasp its genuine?

For the money that eBay clone of the Link Bracelet is an amazing copy, I literally cannot tell the difference.

Lol, 'extra money'. More like hundreds of dollars. Apple is charging ludicrous amounts of money for metal and for rubber bands, it's insane.

Could it be the 4th gen buttons causing the durability issues?
Please put the link where you bought it
