@@Elninojames so when you try to play an alltiss D do you do the octave key and the f key on the back and then 234 and 1 (finger slid down to open the little hole in the key) or just 234 plus the the octave and f key. The first one is the bass clarinet fingering, if you can't get it out just take in a lil more mouth piece and you might get it. After you understand how to do it, altissimos get really easy
They should not be compared, the only thing they share is their category and similar parts. Bass clarinet has a softer and more mellow noise. It's better for classical music and can sometimes be great at jazz. Bari sax is louder and lower, with a less woody and griddiness compared to the bass clarinet. It's a puncher, loud, robust. The bass clarinet is a lover, mellow, tender. Bass clarinet adds more emotion while bari sax is to motivate.
