I bought mine at the same time and I use it a lot. Not so much the ribbon, but I used the tapes to label all my craft bins and scrapbook albums. I don't use it everyday but I use it quite often. I love it but I probably could learn to use more of the other features. My batteries have not run out yet so I'm glad about that.
Thanks for the turtorial. I use mine often, mostly for labeling books. I'm a retired teacher and I've been putting Dewey Decimal numbers on the spines. I want to use it more in crafting.
Wow, that's a great use for them! I hope to use this now that I have taken it out of its packaging! I'll have to learn more about all of the other functions.
I bought this. When I turn it on I get this bar that goes across the display window. I cant see anything im doing. When I try to type something, you cant see it
The tool you referred to was the Xyron Design Runner. It used ink cartridges and had plug in disks for different designs and fonts. I still have mine sitting around. I did see that they have new refill ink cartridges on ebay.
That's the one! It was cute, but you could mess it up big time if you didn't glide it just so! LOL! I'll have to check out eBay bc I have it in my credenza...the machine and accessories, maybe a few cartridges.
@@VianneyCreates I know.. I have a bunch of design cartridges and accessories. I am looking into the possibility of refilling the cartridges. The same memory popped into my head when I saw the Embellisher. So went home and dug it out. Lol
Really need some help with this.... I recently acquired older model PT-1750 and really like it... However, I am unable to change font text size when printing TWO line labels. It will only print the two lines in really small character text size. There are 5 to choose from and all work with a single line label, but not with two lines of text. No issues with the single line printing; all sizes available there. I am using the widest 18mm tape which appears to have plenty of room for two lines with larger character text. But user manual does not address this and Brother support is of little help also.... Any ideas if larger character text is available when printing two lines... or only the small default size 1 text...?? ........THANKS..
I have one of these too that I haven't used yet. Too afraid to use up all the ribbon! LOL Anyway, I think I saw on someone's video of Creativation that Brother is coming out sometime this year with a different version for this (I could be confusing it with WRMK card size laser tool). Thanks for the video.
LOL!! I love to hoard my crafty stuff, too...but this year I say "bring it out!" Let's use all of those things!! I'll keep an eye out for the tool you mention here.
Vianney, I like this little ribbon printer and see it being used for quite a few things. It would take up a lot of ribbon though. I was thinking you could wrap the Valentine baggies with it. Thanks for sharing. Blessings.
I have a hand held version label maker and I label all my leftover containers for the fridge. I am so bad at remembering when I put something in the fridge. It is also great for labeling your own Essential oil blend bottles. My label maker runs on batteries too and they actually have lasted a long time, I am not sure I would use the ribbon one. I guess for cards.
I liked this video. Laughing now-I have the old fashion Dymo maker! My husband has the battery operated Dymo maker that uses the thin plastic tape. I had to stop watching your video because I received my CC Pearl Paper w/metallic paper. YAY!
You were talking about the handheld printer from way back - it was the Xyron Design Runner! Which is funny cause the tsv on HSN today is a mini printer!
Yes, that's the one...I'm watching HSN right now and thinking "Where do they get off asking $300 for that?!" Wow. I really just can't believe that! The issue with the design runner is that you have to move at just the right pace or it would mess up the design...and it looks like this Colop thing does the same.
@@VianneyCreates I didn't like the xyron one and I saw a demo on RUclips for this new one and on a lot of the surfaces it smears like vellum. Btw I love your videos. I look forward to them. I love your style it's like I'm watching a friend. And because of your enthusiasm about watercoloring with stamps, my daughter(she's 37) and I are going to start doing projects. You are awesome!
I’m thinking about getting this gadget & your video was a big help. This was early in 2020 - your daughter had a fever & you mention it spreading etc., did it turn out to be COVID??
You know, I guess we'll never know...I was always curious of that. The sickness that the kids at her school, and then she, had....always with a lingering cough, along with other symptoms...began in December of 2019. We live in San Diego. I still wonder. She got better and then lockdown came in March, so we never had her tested. We actually asked about it when we took her to the doctor on base, and he was like "the Coronavirus is nothing to worry about..." Ok, buddy. LOL!!
I'm sorry, I'm not sure about tab...but the font size is easy to change. Just press the Font button twice, press OK, then use the arrows to change the size, then set with OK (I think). I hope that helps.
This thing is so complicated. I really bought it to make ribbons with bride and grooms name and their date on the white ribbon for my son's wedding. I didn't realize you can't use purchased ribbon. You have to spend more money on their cartridges. I purchased a Circuit maker and also the iron and other items and I feel like selling it because I know I'm not going to use it.
The point of the video was to unbox something I haven't used in years/have never used. There are plenty of other channels that will fit the style you want, I'll keep doing what I do on my channel. TY!
I tried to listen, but she is totally obnoxious... She says way to much unimportant BS rather than focusing on how to use this machine.... I had to watch a different video....

THanks for the info about the batteries and how you use it! It does have a lot of options!!
I have this and use it to label my craft and sewing projects

Terri Kaufman how do you save it

You can set the length you want and there is also a Center alignment feature. Lots of options!
Linda LeClaire how do you set the length?
Kathy Ervin Click on Menu then right arrow over to Label Length. You can set to Auto or a specific length
Thanks so much!! Thanks for helping us out!
Is the ribbon washable? Will the ribbon work on the grey and green model p-touch?
I use it to add to my cards and tags for the sentiment if I don't have the right saying on my stamps....saves me money on stamps.
Are the tapes compatible with p-touch ?

Could someone tell me if the printed label is washable/waterproof, please. ❤ Thanks.
I got this last year and have only used it a few times. Thank you for reminding me I still have it somewhere. 😜

That would be so adorable! Maybe just for your bestest loved ones!! (:
What is the widest ribbon it uses
Does anyone know if the tapes which is the T-Z tape works with a regular Brother P-touch that uses the same T-Z tape?
i just had to have this and mines just sitting there, I used it twice to make name tags for my gransons drink containers he takes to school!!
That's a good use of it! I know, we buy all of this stuff...HSN is very good at convincing us we NEED it. LOL!!
Used first time last week. Want to know id number for widest black on white tape. Do you know ?

Lol bought mine around the same time and haven't used it either, I will now take it out thanks for your video:)
Right? I know a lot of us have it and have probably never used it! I just had to do the review. (:
I tried to stamp on some ribbon a couple of weeks ago but it came out really fuzzy looking. At least I tried!

Very cool! Have you used some of the more advanced options?
Can you use any ribbon for it or buy specific ribbons?
Specific ribbon!
I love mine. I get my refills from amazon. If you find a way to not use so much of the labels/ribbon, please let me know.
Thanks for the refill tip! I think once I get used to it, it will be a breeze..I do like what it does. (:
I have one of these too. It’s cute to make bows for the granddaughters hair...with their name!

Does it use clear tape too?
Yes, any of the standard tapes will work in this.
