What do you plan to do with your major after you graduate/life plans? Can you make a video or just go into more detail about being a business student? This video was super helpful and really good, thanks!
This makes me miss campus 😔, keep doing big things bro #WestLo 🙏🏼
I appreciate you, Justin! WestLoBestLo HAHA
Hey Will, this is a great video. For the next one, can you tell us what we should bring if we're going to be living on campus?
He left out the Dorms at Glen Mor but he did mention the Dorms at Dundee of which are the most modern! Good luck Highlanders!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video! I’m curious about how the social life and school spirit is at ucr? Also is there stuff to do around the area?
QUALITY CONTENT
I appreciate you Matt!
Haha I go to UCR too and this is pretty spot on
majoring in pre business too, might go to ucr
Hi Will, I was wondering if you know how difficult it is to secure a dorm space if you don't sign the housing contract before August?
Hey! I'm looking to come here as pre-business as well in the fall, but I'm really worried about internship opportunities. Is it hard finding such opportunities on campus?
Tks for the video. I'm a study-from-home UCR freshman, and plan to live on campus this coming Fall. Can you provide suggestions for dorm vs. apartment? And which dorm/apartment you recommend?
I will add that to the list of video ideas!
How is Honors? Would you recommend joining honors if you are a pre med student?
As someone who attends UCR this is very strange lmfao bu good on you I’m a bussiness major fiance
Is it easy to get internships and jobs on/off campus? Do you feel that there are a lot of opportunities to connect with companies and secure jobs post graduation? I'm a pre business marketing major btw!
I would say the opportunities are less compared to Ivy Schools; however most graduated I know had no issues finding jobs from the Career Fair, LinkedIn and other opportunities
Is there good stuff to do around ? And do people leave the school or nah ?
How does rushing for frats work?
I want the info regarding ms in cs classes. What is the mode of class conduction in ucr for ms students?
I am a freshman as SFSU and I want to transfer to UCR for my sophomore year. Do you think it would be difficult to make friends and do you think I missed out on a lot?
What’s rmell? And when do we get them?
My son has been accepted to UCR for Fall 2020 and being Waitlisted at UCSD, which is his first choice. He has a pretty good GPA, high 3's and a1530 SAT score. Having that said, he does not have a good study habit. My husband literally is trying to convince him to go to community college and transfer. This is not because we are disappointed that he only got accepted to UCR, but that he is concerned that my son won't be able to do well at college for his lack of motivation. My question is, do you know, based on your experience or your friends', who did not (or still don't) have decent study habits and are surviving college?
And, yes, this video is super helpful and did answer some of my questions. Thank you!!
From my personal experience work ethic is definitely something extremely important for college. As I would assume his external motivation is currently coming from you and your husband; however, I was not the best student and started to pick up the slack in college, I would say it varies from person to person. One thing to also consider is the experience of going to a four year right away. Feel free to ask me any more questions! Glad the video was able to help :)
Yo man, I’m thinking about going to a university like UCR, my hometown is like 2-3 hours away one way drive. How do you do it with balancing rent and income etc with school sorry if that’s too personal. Did you get help from scholarships and such? I’m tryna get all that figured out before being set on a university
Any advice for transfer students?
Hello. Do I need a car to be able to get around the campus?
How’s life around campus ? Can you walk to places outside of the campus or would you need a car to go from place to place ? Thx 😁
I never had a car my first year and walked everywhere with no issues! Mainly stayed on campus.
Hi, I got an admit from UCR MS in CS, I also have an admit from ASU MS in SE. Was very confused on which to choose. Please help.
I can not speak for ASU, but I know many students who majored in Comp Sci at UCR who loves it
I got accepted to UCR for transfer and was given the Regent’s scholarship which according to UCR is the most prestigious scholarship offered by them. However I might not go because I heard it gets really hot, and I truly hate heat. Do you guys think I am making a mistake ?
Yes! I graduated in 2019. The regent scholarship is a great way to save a lot of money and reduce loan debt. But I would say look at all your options before saying no to UCR.
Hello Will, would you consider getting an MBA at UCR in the future?
As of now, I am not planning on pursuing an MBA, but maybe down the road I will change my mind
Hey Will! How is the engineering culture at ucr (if you know). Also, do you know anything about CS at UCR?
Hey! My big bro in my fraternity is actually a CS Major and he just got a job right out of college. From what I heard it is definitely solid!
Will Wang sounds dope. Do you know what tech companies hire at UCR?
Just a curiosity, what’s up with that Salamanca scarf?
Actually, filming in my sister's room as the lighting is the best in there 🤣. She got the scarf when she went to Spain(Travel Abroad)

Will Wang always 🆎💯
what gpa do you need to get into ucr ?
random question LOL but does ucr provide a lamp light for your desk? and is it expensive to do your laundry?
Keilani Cao hi im currently living in pentland and im a first year, Each student gets their own desk and they have a small light lamp attached in your desk. and laundry is 1.25 for the washer and .75 for the dryer, if u have more questions let me know!
Caleb gave the perfect explanation! Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
@@calebvillanueva181 Thank you for answering!
I've lived in Riverside all my life and I barely survived high school mostly because of "bad" associations and or "friendships!" If there is anything that is unimportant, it is your development of friendships anywhere. If you are "needy" then you will probably attract bad friends anyway. So don't make "friendships" a priority!
Do the desks in the dorms have enough space to accommodate a pc?
From my experience, I would give it a solid maybe.
From what I have seen it does have enough space!
@@DeitritusFillamore Thank you for responding!
How is MBA at ucr
What do committee members do in ASUCR?
It depends on the committee you are a part of. For example, my marketing committee create videos, graphics, photos, and many more.
Where can we find the different committees we can work in?
I am looking to transfer majoring in History , do you know how the history program is at UCR?
^I'm also curious about the history department!
Yea bro I’m trynna figure out how it is before I decide if I really want to go there
@@americax558 Hey ya'll! I am not too sure about the History Program but I do know a couple people that are in it. I will ask them and get there opinion ✊🏽
@Will wang thank you! Any info will help
this was v helpful! since freshman can't park on campus, how will we get to parties? how close are the parties to campus?
When I was a first-year I either caught a ride from an upperclass man or the majority of students just uber everywhere!
@@WillWang thank u! how far are the frat houses from ucr? is there a frat row?
why ucr tho? (lol ik the SIR deadline is soon and im kinda torn between ucr and another school)
Did u pick ucr? I got accepted and it's my top choice rn
@@anoopgill7245 i didnt haha :// tbh it was in my top 2 or 3
@@PSL09 where'd u pick
@@anoopgill7245 westmont...a small christian LAC thats basically the opposite of ucr...ucr had everything i wanted for like college life ig, but westmont was the better fit academically...my other top school was purdue but oos w/no scholarship made it tough
is weed illegal on campus?
No, this is someone who used to work as a Resident Advisor unless it is for medical purpose then you would have to keep it in your car . However, most first years are not permitted to have cars. Hope this helps!
I visited campus once and ate at Glen Mor and had the driest mf chicken
Get used to it! But as someone who worked for housing and lived on campus for 3 out of 4 years, there are other better food options that you figured out while there.
Glen mor usually better than dining more time that not
Victor Jimenez im nervus
Ken M you got it bro! It is a different pace at college but you will be fine.
yr soo fine ;)
