UPDATE: The bike sold within 24 hours of posting! It was a pleasure to get to experience this amazing bike, I'm sure it will bring the new owner years of enjoyment.
no reason at all.DB put the bike back together for Sonny Angel estate, then went on to buy the bike and try and resell itafter he failed to sell it he started to strip it and sell it for parts.DB has no respect for this bike,Sonny Angel or his family.I rescued/bought the bike and it is now safe after being completely rebuilt, again.
@@craigsmith296 Well done Mate ! I wish I'd kept my 750 GT, it was a cracker, some people just dont have a clue . Great that it's come down to this part of the World where people Genuinly love their classics
This beautiful Sport now lives with me in Australia.Bizarely after Mark sold the bike (back to the guy that finished the resto for him) the new owner started to strip it and sell it off in parts on ebay, fortunately I found out just in time, bought it and shipped it down under. It's back together, looking and riding beautifully.
A truly beautiful machine, I have been lucky enough to own a 79 900SS and still own the yellow 250,450 Desmo singles but the roundcase twin in the same style and colour is flawless. Thank You.
I Am a keen surfer and one day after a great surf I Was Back at my car getting changed when a 750SS came bellowing down the road, a nice set of twisties and he was giving it to it, to add to it he had a pillion, a young lady whose skirt was up her back hanging on for dear life as the rider cranked it over for the next corner. Just love the sound of a 270 degree crank . The sound of it was unreal, it was 1974 .
This is the bike I wanted to buy when I got home from the war,I simply couldn't afford it and bought a Norton Commando instead.I still own AND ride that Norton but once in a while I think about the Ducati and kind of shake my head. The difference in price was a couple hundred bucks but at the time it was more than I could afford
Great video. What really stood out to me is the incredible sound quality. It's very clear that you've taken a lot of time to ensure the sound was absolutely perfect. Many videos don't capture the soul of the motorcycle when recording its exhaust note... this is not one of those videos. Kudos.
Thanks so much for your kind words. From the moment I heard this bike start up it was clear that the bike's own sound track needed to be a key element. So much of the experience and the character of the bike is tied to it's incredible sound!
Ridden a couple thousand miles with "Smarty" I don't mind bragging. Following his lines is an outstanding experience. On the track I only saw him once for about 1/2 second. But cooler guy I've yet to meet.
Can't even begin to thank you for putting this video together, Chip. Tears the first time I watched it. Last five years has been a labor of love, taking care of Sonny's legacy. Knowing what this bike looked like three years ago when I pulled her out of the basement...and what she looks like now...I'm humbled beyond words. Wish I could keep her, but alas she needs to head off to a new home. Cheers, and thank you.
Those Bevel-drive Ducati Twins sound like no other . The Belt-drives don't sound the same . Best Sounding Bikes EVER . Especially if they have the Conti " Mufflers " , a total LIE that , 🤣 , Conti's don't quieten anything . Just GLORIOUS .
Nah. Nice handling, sporty street bike. Fairly fast but nowhere near a race bike. I bought one new in 1974, kept it 15 years. They had problems like really crappy electrics. A lot of you will say "so what?" Well, when you're 300 miles from home with NO lights and an alternator that will barely keep the battery charged, that's "so what"". I fought electrical problems until we just re wired the whole thing and threw about half of their crap away. Went all the way back to the alternator. Otherwise, a gorgeous machine and a wonderful engine. Well, except for going through 2 sets of valve guides in the first 2000 miles. Some fun. I made a lot selling it and never really regretted it until they started bring 50 thousand plus.
I had the 750GT and later the 900 Darmah, the 750 was the 'Keeper' ( I foolishly didnt ). Now I ride a retro'd XV1000, TR1 yamaha. It feels remarkably-similar to ride
Roundcase verses squarecase are vastly different internally. The squarecase is the cheep way to make the engine , straight cut drive gears as opposed to bevel.

Any reason why DB Cycles is using this clip for their ebay ad?

That Ducati is not a just a mere motorcycle, it is an actual living work of art
and I would include the sound that engine makes in my previous statement as another form of automotive art

That's great to hear! Hope the bike brings you much joy!
Incredible to hear that, Craig! Wow.
Lucky man! I have a 74 750GT which I've had for 39 years now. I'm planning to ride it back to its birthplace for its 50th>
@@boredmalcontent . All the way to Bologna ? THERE's an Odyssey .
Thank you for saving it. Strip for parts to sell on eBay, that is disgusting.
This the type of content RUclips desperately needs ❤.

Wow! 750s is great 🏍 That's my most favorite motorcycle.
Beautiful bike. Too bad about music drowning out the sound of the bike 😢 I wish you many years of enjoyment with this motorcycle.
In my opinion the 750 Sport is the most desirable model to ever come out of the Ducati factory.

Skirt...inappropriate gear for a run through the twisties.
Love to see new life breathed into these magnificent works of art...nice job

this is the best sounding motorcycle motor nobody else can match

It was my pleasure, thank you again for the opportunity to not only shoot the video but to experience the beast for myself!
The video and music worked perfectly together. Images & Sounds became dreams & feelings...!!
Well done ...

Absolutely gorgeous motorcycle, you have good taste in motorcycles.
The Ducati monster 797 and Scrambler 800 are probably the spiritual successors of this classic vintage art. Great vid
If only they looked even 1/10 as good
Thanks for sharing this terrific story. All the best to Sonny!
Definitely a dream bike. This Ducati is an authentic racer. A true racer...

I,m very happy that I have a Ducati 750 Sport from 1975 (we called it a Yellow Sport) for 35 years.
Loved the video and your edit. Very professional. Also, the bike itself is awesome and the owner did a fantastic job doing a run through
Thanks Arasan!
Awesome job on one of the nicest Dukes ever made. I have a '79 SS and would kill to have a video produced like that...
Exceptional cinematography! Nicely done.
Thanks Brian!
Very smooth running and exciting V twin. I rode one of these near new that belonged to a good friend. Would like to own one of these... .
I'm not really a Ducati man but if there was one i would love to have or at least ride it's this beauty.
Perfect video, you captured the heart of a ducatista
Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for the vid
Awesome! Love the story and history of the bike. Great work gents!
Thank you!
Excellent video , very cool bike. Helps me appreciate the classics a little more. Props
Thank you. Creating this video definitely increased my appreciation for vintage bikes many times over!
Great bike. Great story. Atta boy Sonny.

Congratulations ! Awesome moto and wonderful video.
could have gone without the orchestra. the ducati IS the music
If you are right handed, placing the shift lever on the right is correct. Ask your neurologist.
Awesome bike and awesome video!
Thanks!
Awesome video, Chip! Love it!
Oh, the bike is cool too...
Thanks Boris!
Excellent video!
Nice vid I love the new R1's myself also.
The quality and 'cinematics' of this video are incredible, I'm guessing you do this stuff for work too?
Thank you! Just a hobby for now but that is the dream to do this type of thing for full time work!
Well it's definitely in your reach sir! Keep it up

Sic bike. Great video. Love the sound and all. Is the clutch on the left* still?
Thank you. Yes, thankfully the front brake and clutch are set up the same as we're all used to with modern bikes! :)
These Ducatis are highly collectibles
Why the added music? You already had all anyone could ever need. 😉
non è originale! il motore del 750 SPORT ha i carter NERI ( sono neri anche i 2 coperchi della distribuzione). Secondo me è il motore della 750 GT
wow
sympa
What's the music track?
It's a track from EpidemicSound.com called Epic Movement by Thomas Lundgren
😍😍😍WoW
😍😍😍
God forgive me, I sold mine. I will never forgive myself...

Music to loud!
Its called a bevel drive because all the cam gear is driven from the crankshaft, not just the heads.
Too bad they are slower than pouring axle grease
